Check cyclone pcv for clogs and leaks, metal water pump upgrade will make it reliable if it isn't already, and aluminum thermostat housing. I'd pull and lubricate window regulators, check motors for corrosion. The reason they seize is your exterior door handle gaskets, buy handle covers + gaskets thank me later when they break upon removal unless it's been done before or you get lucky with heat. Highly recommend ceramic spray or quick wax when removing also they have a tentancy to slide against paint. that paint is not easy to fix and is looks amazing.

Yes, the computers look sloppy with the silicone, but I dont think this is the problem in your case. I watch your program all the time! Keep up the good work!
I like the John Wick style driving at the end. You just needed a dog with you. Hahaha
Being a fan of countless RUclips car and car repair channels, I've considered buying a "cheap broken" R8 thinking like Jeremy Clarkson "how bad could it be 🤔 "
After seeing this video and seeing even the Car Wizard is walking away from this project I know NOT to do this. Thanks Hoovie for taking this chance.

Hoovies motto is definitely when life gives you lemons, buy more lemons!
I’m sure you have many resources for ECM‘s. But Sam Krack did an excellent video on his mismatched Ferrari ECM’s. And the specific shop he sent them to to get re-programmed so they matched. It would be a shame not to get that Audi on the road
had the same thought, reach out to Sam Crac.
@@rogerwhittemore9950 hahaha.... Sam did an execellant video of that Fla ECU specialist.
However, Hoovies is just playing the 'Comedy Central' of Automotive Channels. Simply by playing the light hearted simpleton. LoL... I'm certain Wiz and Ty already have lined up, rebuilts, new replacements, and reprogrammed. Plus have the video's edited and ready to interchange to continue the weekly entertainment. The Show Must Go ON!!! LoL..
Seeing that super bird (real of fake doesn’t matter) do donuts in the snow is just to awesome.probably never see a that again
Your house is cool. All the neighbors have Midwest style and you've got the modern flare. Love the way you treat the super bird the way it's meant to be driven ....and hard
Hello Hoovie! Cheers from Poland! You are making great content! I am a huge fan.
Keep up the good work. You are one of my insporations on my small RUclips field.
$3,500 for Superbird front shocks, reconnecting gauge wires and a donated vacuum pump. And couldn't fix anything else.
What a deal Wizard. What a deal.
I know right? For a guy that trash talks other shops all the time he sure sent a lot of cars out unfixed. Quattroporte, LS460, Superbird and now R8.
Yea, I like him, but it seems a bit high lol
@@vw5056 its better to send cars to other shops than pretend to know what you're doing. Why would you want some fool making a half assed attempt at doing work he isnt comfortable doing, just to say cars leave their shop "fixed 100%"
I'd rather a mechanic tell me he isnt comfortable or knowledgeable in fixing my car than pretend to know, fuck it up and charge me out the ass for it.
The sign of a good mechanic is one that knows their own limitations. Not one that makes unknowing attempts with mixed results.
Can you imagine being Hoovies neighbors I’d be out there having fun with him lol
I think at least 1 of his neighbors is a fellow gearhead, but I'm not sure about the rest! 😂
So thanks to Tyler we have the last snow donuts done in a Superbird recorded for posterity.
My buddy had a 70 Sport Satellite and we would do the same back around 1980. LOL What a hoot. Thanks Tyler.
That look on Wizard's face when Hoovie is not laughing at the hammer accident :D
Wow! No babying or pampering this six-figure Super Bird for you, lol... Glad to hear that you're mindful of restoring the value of your Porsche by re-installing the targa top (though I definitely prefer the convertible). No matter how much money you're making, there's not that much dumb in the world than to *NOT* restore the vehicle to its original condition if it will ensure that you don't completely lose your shirt on the deal (also, you're newly minted celebrity status may further ensure that you get your money because you'll probably make a video about the process of *re-targa-ing* the Porsche).
Would love to see the SC restored back to a Targa!
Amazing content, always entertaining, regular television is dead
Check out Samcrac's videos on his Ferrari. He used a 3rd party company that specializes in replacement/refurbished ECU's and other types of automotive electronics. Bet it's way cheaper than going to Audi.
The 67 Mustangs (don't know about the Hertz cars) had recessed hood vents, which had really nice turn light repeaters in them. You could see the lights in the hood and never need to look at the dash.
You need to work with WatchJRgo / John Ross on that R8. He has some experience and a guy that should be able to sort out the computers.
Check with JR GO for the Audi. He’s been there, done that.
Danielson doing great work with the Ferrari, hopefully it drives soon!
Daniel-san, please!
Wizard: 355 won't catch fire now.
But these open headers get really hot. I was too dumb to do anything about it, so you can throw blankets on it. Or 💥🔥
High pitch engine whine now too.
Everyone loves crapping on the wizard 😂
Get the programming from the corroded ecu on R8 and try swapping it to the other one using ecu pinning equipment. Shout from e36 community!!! swartz metallic is one of my favorite colors. The gauge is rebuildable, consider meyle HD suspension components they are heavy duty upgraded OE and feel smooth as butter for joints and control arms are painted with preinstalled hd bushings too.
My fluorescent brother from another mother! What's up Hoov you're killing it brother. You're content has been awesome and car choices are on point
Superbird + snow and ice.
I see no possible way anything could go wrong. 🤔
Send ECU out to get reprogrammed before bringing it to the dealer turnaround time is about 24 hours configured within 3 days you would have them back she wants the information for the guys that do this in Florida let me know
I remembered Samcrac used a shop that specializes in Euro Computers, I bet those guys can fix those Computers for cheaper, give them a call Tyler
You could try Car Ninja. It might be worth a try. Car Ninja does a lot of reprogramming and he would likely be cheaper than the dealership. There are other source mentioned in the contacts as well. This is why modifications are so often a bit of a farce.
Great videos Dave! I own an auto repair shop in Rhode Island and I'm interested in knowing what software you use for your receipts. I like how clean and organized they are. Thanks!
Looks like quick books
Im honestly surprised Tyler's neighbors havent gone mad with his antics yet
I'm guessing he warns them when he's going to do crazy things in the neighborhood.
Tyler is FAR from the worst RUclipsr you could live next to
We dont know what goes on off camera. Hopefully his neighbors are not busy body geriatrics.
All Audis are a pain in the ass, i own an RS4, its either trying to be stolen or throwing errors at me......but damn i love it when it works!
"trying to be stolen" how does that work? :P
So sell it and get a '98 Kia Sephia so we wont have to read your asinine comments anymore.
@@vw5056 Aww sorry i hurt your feelings with a comment about an Audi, maybe if you save up enough money you can buy a shopping cart?
@@webfreakz In the four years ive owned it, ive had trackers planted on it twice so thieves can follow me home. Turns out RS4s are very sought after cars for robberies/getaways, in the UK at least!
@@psychotictactoe uh okay... how did you find those trackers before those thieves tracked you home?
THAT HEAD GASKET video was the first ever hoovie video I came across. Oh boy I love this channel.
Did that B.M.Trouble-you? That's genius comedy right there.
I think this pandemic has taught people the importance of multiple streams of income, unfortunately having a job doesn't mean security rather having different investments is the real deal.
The economic hardship, recession, unemployment and loss of jobs caused by covid 19 pandemic is enough to push people into financial ventures..
Investments are the stepping Stones to success, I wanted to trade shiba but got confused by the fluctuations in price
Most people think.... Investing in crypto is all about buying coins and holding, till it rises, 🙅 come on it takes much analysis to be a successful crypto trader.I've made $16,000 in two weeks of trade
@@florencemaria8952 I was able to see that he is a registered trader, cause I don't believe 😩 anything I see online but I'm definitely shocked that he is real, how do I reach him please ?

Either Wizard is gonna put a LS in the m3 or light it on fire. I’m guessing fire.
I'm guessing fire as well
Hopefully neither. That car deserves better.
@@vw5056 me either. I had an e36, always liked that gen m3. I’m just setting realistic expectations for myself.
@@vw5056 I don't get the hatred. A reshell would be really smart if it's that rusty. E36s are amazing. I oughta know, having one.
@@Petrospect you can get new E36 shells?
car wizard is useless. Any car with a computer he cant even finish.
he probably does not have much experiance
His shop is packed soooooo
yea, kinda weird. I would do everything for a customer like hoovie considering he made his channel popular
Tyler! First off huge fan second off I would love to make you a custom rug of your logo!
Tyler keeps the Car Wizard in business! Love his meek attitude.
This is exactly why there will be a huge attrition and depreciation of vehicles that are too expensive to fix in the next 5-10 years when the current tech-filled vehicles are 10 years old with no warranty.
Regarding the 911 SC, why would you convert it from fuel injection to carburetors? Other than the looks, I can’t think of any benefits to switching to carbs.
That is hilarious only Hoovie is going to take a real Superbird out do donuts in the snow mad props love it man
When I saw your black bmw I lmao I think I saw your RUclips in the wrong order mr & Mrs wizard did a job on the black bmw I saw how much you gave this bmw behind your shop this was so funny to me thank you
My super bird is vacuume packed and hermetically sealed. No let's do doughnuts in the snow!🤣😅
The snow -nuts were perfect. Thanks for the laugh !
Congratulations, I see Kansas has been blessed with Minnesota-like weather. Be careful out there - thinking it has been a long time since I drove a rear-wheel-drive only.
Christmas 2022: Here's your Audi present.... again!
I enjoy Hoovie‘a Garage it’s the best channel on RUclips!
You might want to check with John Ross, he went through the same thing with his Audi R8.. when he got the problem fixed he got rid of it asap! Nice cars but they are crazy expensive to fix and stay fixed! I think it’s mostly the computers on the car that have the problems. Hope you get it figured out! Thanks!
Daniel is a great tech wow.
If I could do doughnuts in the Superbird with Hoovies I would drink the shot of whiskey and pack up the Hash Pipe with Rocky and get all schmoked up
"I wonder what the Car Wizard is going to do with this BMW"
Wizard: *pulls out baseball bat* "I'm about to do a pro-gamer move"
It warms my heart to see the Superbird doing donuts in the street! Drive that beast! That's what it's made for!!
doin snowduts in a burnt orange superbird
dude thats fun on epic lvl
