What I Feared Most Just Happened

Last night while coming upstairs with my hands full. The Jingle Ball was lying in the hallway at the top of the stairs and I started kicking it towards my desk so I could put it away. The last kick I gave it did not go in the direction I thought it would and it started rolling towards my foot as I was in mid-step. I tried to avoid it but I stepped on it and crushed it. Todd was there and saw it happen and the look on his face broke my heart. Todd is down to two True Jingle Balls now. I will contact some manufacturers to see if I can have some more made for him.
Todd is a 6-year-old neutered male cat at the time of this video. Todd and his dad have been learning to communicate with each other since May of 2022 with the help of recordable buttons.
