Billi asked a question and understood that mom needed something. I'm blown away at the fact that cats can comprehend a question. As she progresses and learns more vocabulary, I continue to be amazed. I really feel badly for my cats because they can't communicate with me. That's their meows but I can only say "come" and "treats" (treats are given after brushing and they know that). I'm going to give them extra cuddles tonight.
My cat genuinely understands me - I think most do. Its really more a question of whether or not they will listen, if you have patience enough to wait and see, and a lack of ability to speak back to us. When Nym is struggling with something, or stuck going wrong-way around something, I'll verbally explain without even showing her (like "use your paw to grab! Put your paw in the little hole!" for when she first encountered treat puzzles). I can see her thinking about it for a moment or two, maybe a minute or less, then she actually DOES the thing! I didn't need to teach her language, she understands that. It was teaching her that my words were attached to useful things she should react to (like telling her how to get the treat). I want the buttons so I can give her more of a way to speak back (90% sure this will result in constant requests for treats and pats, but I really want to get her to tell me when she thinks she needs her nose drops for allergies or when her ears don't feel good, so I know).

I have worked in the animal communication area for my entire career and I am constantly stunned at how gracious they are and how they meet us far, far more than halfway. Even at times when human beings understand them they force them to use human language. It’s very speciesist of course…But, that said, I am grateful to people who are making an effort in these ways and sharing these videos so that people begin to understand the depth and breadth of animal thought, feeling, and awareness.❤
IT IS the RULE! You can not disturb the cat when laying beside or on you. If they are laying on a body part , said body part must remain STILL! It's the rule. I loved this family time video. Thanks.😹✌️🖖🤘😻

My 5 cats that were with me for a long time ( Momma until 19 yrs & her 4 daughters for 15-16 yrs) knew when I said " Momma's Owie" it meant not to jump on me or bother me. I have Fibromyalgia & whenever I hurt really bad, I had to lay down. They would lay down with me & often on me. Every time the sopt that each cat layed on were my most painful places. I miss those girls so much ! Edit: They also knew if they were running around & scratched me & I said Ow really loud....they were in trouble😂
People say that the animals "don't actually know what the buttons mean and just push them because things happen when they do" (ignoring the fact that them knowing which buttons to push means they clearly do have at least some understanding of what each button and its corresponding audio clip means), but this? You can't call this a coincidence. Billi clearly knows what's going on and that's insane to me.
Poor misunderstood Kendra! 0:11 Billi missing the hint. 1:23 Billi puzzling out how "ouch" implies "catnip later" 2:11 Dad missing the hint. It took some work, but you ended up with cat and catnip water without leaving the couch! Your servants are a touch slow but are loyal nonetheless.

I haven't seen her use "Hmm?" much. Love seeing her find it when she needs it!
Billie is so much like a small child sometimes.
She is very much the toddler.
That sped up impatient tail tip tapping throughout says everything!
Aaahhh thats so cute....ouch hmmm?? ❤
Your ouch is obviously all done, I said so. It could not be simpler, see? I press the button.
😂😂
Taste of her own medicine 😉
Last surgery I had, my Tessa just starred at me because I was bedridden. No buttons, but that love bite on my ankle after using the bathroom was a hint of no bed, and just Tessacat for the rest of the day. Hope you feel better!
"I know what will make you feel better: if you give me catnip now." -Billy, probably 😂
Your Ouch is All Done because Her Madjesty hath commanded it!
😸
No biscuits for Mom! Billie has to work at the bakery to buy her own catnip bc of the ouch that won't end. 😂
We all wish it was that easy, Billi! We would all love it if we could just go 'all done' and make the ouch go away! 😭
Billi channelling the vibes of your manager demanding you come do your shift despite illness.. 😂
I'm going with someone else's suggestion that "all done" is her way of saying "get well soon" bc it's cute af.
Also I didn't know a new covid booster dropped for the under-50s? I'll have to check when I go to the pharmacy later. Sorry it knocked you out, wishing you a quick recovery! ❤
Yep, to cover the newest variants and it was determined for everyone. A friend of mine just got his on Monday.
You remind me of myself with my cat children.
"You making biscuits? Can I have one?" I taught my babies to "give" me a biscuit when I ask by giving me both their paws for a moment. :)
Cat cuddles make everything better 😍😍
It’s the “nah we don’t do that here” for me 😂😂
IT IS the RULE! You can not disturb the cat when laying beside or on you. If they are laying on a body part , said body part must remain STILL! It's the rule. Every cat family member must abide by the rule of cat superiority! They are descendants of royalty and we must be loyal servants to their greatness. I hold no other to such hierarchy! I loved this family time video. Thanks.😹✌️🖖🤘😻
Billi is like my manager at work when I am not feeling well
Love this cat. She is an international treasure.
Billi really said "Tu as mal ? Arrête." 😂
Billi is a very smart, warm and understanding cat. 💕💕
I think she might have been hitting all done as a way of saying ‘Get better’.
Billy is giving orders that "ouch all done!" She's trying to talk you ought of not being well. Hope you are feeling better. Tell hubby we fans thank him for bringing you coffee.
He’s the best 🥰

My 5 cats that were with me for a long time ( Momma until 19 yrs & her 4 daughters for 15-16 yrs) knew when I said " Momma's Owie" it meant not to jump on me or bother me. I have Fibromyalgia & whenever I hurt really bad, I had to lay down. They would lay down with me & often on me. Every time the sopt that each cat layed on were my most painful places. I miss those girls so much !
Edit: They also knew if they were running around & scratched me & I said Ow really loud....they were in trouble😂
Aww, Billie isn’t impressed. How adorable she is.
I hope Billies parents stay together forever. ❤ Such a sweet little family.
Let's hope so. If she's still taking the dodgy vacks-een it's a big risk
Thanks for the longer video. And remember, we love to see dad, even if Billie turns the catnip down.
I am crying for you and laughing at her.
Aww, Billi’s version of Get Well Soon. 😄
Ah yes, the cat on the lap rule. We have that rule in our house too 😆. Feel better 🩵
"Ouch hmmm?" = "Specify your ailment, mother"
People say that the animals "don't actually know what the buttons mean and just push them because things happen when they do" (ignoring the fact that them knowing which buttons to push means they clearly do have at least some understanding of what each button and its corresponding audio clip means), but this? You can't call this a coincidence. Billi clearly knows what's going on and that's insane to me.
She’s putting it out in the universe! Your ouch is all done. What a cutie pie 🥰
When your cat gaslights you. I love this cat.
Sometimes I wonder if Billi was trying to suggest Human "Catnip" for Mom's Ouch hahahahah
Poor misunderstood Kendra!
0:11 Billi missing the hint.
1:23 Billi puzzling out how "ouch" implies "catnip later"
2:11 Dad missing the hint.
It took some work, but you ended up with cat and catnip water without leaving the couch! Your servants are a touch slow but are loyal nonetheless.
My mom always said kids don’t like mom being sick…
(Because not acting like mom.)
So this makes total sense. Mom not allowed to ouch!
Billi is imitating a cuckoo clock only Billi's version says "All Done "😂🎉 Feel better Kendra❤
