Those times were the best of times.
I look at the line up on that table and just amazed how what a difference in what we had then and what we have now. Bob Hope, Ronald Reagan, Dean Martin, Howard Cosell, Billy Graham, Milton Berle, Don Rickles, Jack Benny, Lou Rawls.

He actually was well read in American history, and took the time to explain his conservative philosophy and even convinced some Democrats to vote for him. He was a very decent man.
