Ronald Reagan is and was the most talented orator I've ever heard. He flows so evenly and with such grace. He could tell you the White House was nuked this morning and everybody wouldn't have one concern after he tells the public,...it will be ok, we will rise above this and overcome this small mountain. Fear not fellow Americans, we will survive. All with that tone that would calm a hurricane on your front lawn. Too bad he is not with us. He wouldn't have any problem being re-elected.
+Yahron Mills Great orator? More like a great teleprompter reader. He gave this bit just like he gave (read) all his political speeches. Fluid and effective, but so contrived. Do you think Reagan ever wrote one speech he gave?

+Artie Compoccia It always shows, (other than at this roast) that it's a whole lot easier, and much more powerful when one BELIEVES in what one is reading. On top of that, as opposed to the "Talking Heads" in today's media, he actually PRE-READ everything he would say!! Take away "Mr." Obama's teleprompter and you'd have "The Sound Or Silence", which would not only be better for America, but a WHOLE lot more beneficial ! Just sayin'

Well, what's left of it has been losing ground for a long time. I'm not sure how much Reagan did for the middle class. I know he helped rich people get richer with those unbalanced tax cuts. Obama raised the top earners tax rates and the economy grew. Another nail in the coffin of Reagan's discredited supply-side economic theory.
+Artie Compoccia My stepfather was a salesman, straight up middle class. Under Reagan we went from a small, modest home in the suburbs to a 10,000 square foot country home with four brand new cars in the driveway. Reaganomics didn't help the middle class? Bullshit. I was there and I lived it.

Better Time's! It is Very Sad Times ! We are living in 2020..When ? Buddy Mercury is Considered a Top 2 Musical Talent in The World!
My god roasts have taken a serious leap in cruel cutting insults
Very late, I know...but no wonder he was named The Great Communicator. And he was...both in humor and in politics.
As a foreigner I'd say Mr. Reagan was one of the best Presidents of The Great US of A.
Ronald Reagan was a class act, witty and a superior gentleman!
Pure Gold, these roasts were amazing. Best there ever was...
Back when with was class, not just sttaight up attacking
When President Reagan joked about someone he did it with class and it always was true. When President Trump does it it's always just mean and not valid.
@@andrewchase6748 I really think Reagan would be disappointed with how his party turned out.
@@brremsilverte.9022 I agree.
In a separate timeline
Doc Brown : Frank Sinatra, the singer?
Reagan was great N still is !!!!!!
thats why Ronnie was the King! he made everybody around him feel important! im 41, Croatian and Ronnie is my President forever!!!!
The Gipper for the win!!!
I'm impressed by President Ronald Reagan. ^✓^ :))
The most flamboyant USA president's ever and the most gentlemen person ever.
Great stuff way back then with gentlemen.
I wish I was around those times
I voted for Reagan.
Thank you!
thank you!
I didn't love Ronnie as president and didn't vote for him in '84 but the man was dignified and classy...someone you could look up to for strength and guidance during tough times and he made you proud to be an American...unlike the crop of clowns on BOTH SIDES we are stuck with now. Had a short conversation with a fervent Trump supporter recently and asked "what would Reagan think about what is going on in the White House now?" and got silence in return. Yup.
These roasts were always great…and you didn’t have to worry about anybody going up to the podium and slapping Don Rickles no matter HOW offensive he was to the roastee!
I miss Reagan's sense of humor and class he brought to the US.
