    When they were repeated in the 80s I put it on the tv. Our kids pulled their faces. Next week it was " dad the hillbilly's are on"

      My son bought all 6 seasons of Sanford and Son, the first 5 seasons of Andy Griffith, he wont watch the colored ones without Barney Fife, same here. Even my grandkids like Andy Griffith. I asked my grandson what was his favorite Andy Griffith, he told me, Mr. McBeeVee.

      Back then, episodes were 25-26 minutes long with 30-36 episodes each year.
      Today? 19-20 minutes per (if we’re lucky) and mostly those garbage “reality” shows.

    Once when I was at a client's home (self-employed remodeler) a neighbor backed out of her garage, sideswiped my parked ancient work truck, bent the front bumper outwards. I performed a "Jethro Bumper Repair", told her not to worry about it. She was SO upset! It took forever to convince her it was ok!!

Mr Rob most of these people have what is called a depraved mind. They have no real wisdom. As for lawyers, it is them that make all these muddy up laws that have to be argued about constantly in the courts. They do this to make jobs for themselves, judges and career politicians. All laws should be simple enough that even an 8th grader could understand them. Good night Sir and let us try our best to plead with God to get Him back into our government.

They do this to create jobs for themselves, judges, and career politicians. We need to STOP talking about the so-called rule of law that is just devil dung talk to muddy up the water of justice. All laws should be simple enough and clear enough that even an 8th grader could understand them. It should be whether something is Right or wrong. Look at the laws about murder. Y'all say if someone has one kind of life style is murder it is different from someone else who has a different lifestyle. In other words you are saying that one group's life is worth more than the other. The Law is supposed to be the same for everybody, the rich or poor, citizen or politician, even the aliens are supposed to have the same laws as the people in America and that means they are to come here the way our law says too, not by breaking our laws.

    I am in my late 70s was born in North Africa.i grew up watching the Beverly hillbillies for decades. Still love that show even today in 2024. Clean. Fun, humer. Unlike Tv these days nothing but trash.

    I was always fascinated with Buddy Ebsen. As a special dancer termed Eccentric along with James Cagney. Ebsen danced with Shirley Temple when she was a child
    A client brought Mr Ebsen to my workshop so I could meet him. This was long before cell phones. I was out on a job site and missed the opportunity. This was the only regret in my life. I am still sad at the missed meeting.

    Kathleen Freeman, the plaintiff woman, was a guest on so many TV shows in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Very recognizable. She was in 6 different episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies.

      Hard to have found a better cast of characters to accurately pulled it off. A lot of southern California hillbillies from the Dust Bowl days. Writers did a great job of capturing their essence.

    MeTV is the only place I can watch the Beverly Hillbillies these days. Very happy about that. This was real comedy.

      He did not make them wear the bandages. They came to HIM and lied to him. He asked her if she was telling him the truth, so he didn't know until the end himself.

    The innocence made me mushy more than once.
    Also loved the judge catching on.
    The best thing about the show is the actors. True talent.
    They tried to remake it, of course. It was horrible.

      That is not true. He is a grown man who just finished the 6th grade. That is what makes it funny. If he was 12, he would not be driving the car. It never says that he is 12.

    The great Kathleen Freeman. She and Lucy took me on a tour of the Studio when I was 9 years old. Everybody and I mean everybody stopped what they were doing when these two showed up in the Golf Cart. Smokin, foul language. telling tells of debauchery and a lot of laughter was on full display. I had the time of my life that day. I never told my Mom what was actually said.

    Granny was granny to everyone. Ironically Irene Ryan never had children so in reality she never was a grandmother.
