The kids you gave candy too often said Ameseginalehu which means thank you in Amharic, one of the local languages in Ethiopia. The militia at the check point around the end of the video was asking for ID, not for money, he said she is a foreigner, let her go. He was actually being nice to you. Why did you assume he was asking for money when you were not sure that is what he was saying? Remember, you can ask folks nearby to help translate when language is an issue especially in rural communities instead of assuming you know what is being said. Enjoy your travels and glad you made it through Ethiopia.
Not only did you 😉 show us some beautiful rugged mountain scenery but you showed us what a great humanitarian you are Kinga. What we in America take candy for granted, you just made those children feel like a million $. May God bless you in your travels. You are a super gutsy young lady on two wheels that fears nothing. Greetings from South Texas USA and a 78 year old Harley Davidson rider.
Hi! I just wanted to say that, when you get old, you can look back at your life knowing you filled it with more adventures and experiences than anyone could hope for. I’m glad you share this with us 8-5 Office workers. Ride carefully!
I also love Noraly. In fact Noraly (Itchy Boots) and Kinga (onherbike) are my all favourit ones. Both have a special way with people they meet on the road - Kinga's giving candy and stuff to children are priceless - and both show us the riding as if we were on the motorcycles with them, although I agree that it would be better for Kinga to have the helmet camera in the same spot as Noraly's helmet, but sure she nows better than me, it's just my opinion. I have seen all of Noraly's videos, Kinga's maybe just half of them by now, but I love them as much. I also tnink Kinga has the biggest bike of all female ADV riders. Anyway I'm waiting for new videos of both of them (Noraly's just a week from now), they make my days happier.
Everywhere in the world there is a universal truth: kids will be kids! You are a great 2 wheeled ambassador. Lovely video. Greetings from Northern BC 🇨🇦
@@sawomirksiezycki4106 do you not understand, those children probably never been given much in the whole of their lives, not like in the West and yet they are happy souls.
I was riding bike there two year ago. Amazing to see and remember all our memories with your video. Ethiopia is incredible country to ride and discover, has many different culture to see and many kind of road to enjoy ride. Hopefully our road can crash one day, looking forward to meet you. Take care...
Every episode is like a mini documentary and gives a fascinating insite into life in that respective country. So, not watching them in order of your travel doesn't matter. Love them all !
Giving gifts looks like a generous action but by the time other tourist come and visit Africa the kids expect a gift or ‘cadeau’. When they don’t get any, rocks are being thrown at you. Happens a lot in Morocco Sadly.
With a handful of sweets you have made the smile and joy to the little children who seem very welcoming. Sans oublier de saluer Raphaël et lui souhaiter bonne continuation.
kinga u r the real queena..spreading little happiness wherever u go..even giving little chocolates n candy can bring a precious smile on those lovely kids faces..bless u ..keep safe..take care..
I look forward to all your videos. I am impressed with the hospitality you receive, goes to show people are people regardless of where they are and they only want to have a good life devoid of conflict.
I think my wife is jealous because anytime she stretches her neck to see what I'm watching on RUclips, it is always on her bike. Been watching since I found your videos. The best bike video so far and I have watched a lot in preparation for my own trip across East n South Africa
Kinga, you have no fear! They were very helpful with directions for your accommodation-perserverance paid off. Busy ole road with trucks, cars & bikes. I wonder what they are thinking when you ride into there village. Beautiful kids. You're like a mobile father christmas on 2 wheels spreading good cheer. Fantastic video Kinga-well done!
I am a fan of your and Noraly's channels. I like what you are doing for the kids in Ethiopia. I'm sure it's something they will remember long into adulthood.
When I was there I thought the people were awesome. Countryside beautiful . Awesome video. You and your helmet hair gorgeous 😜🤪. Be safe. Safe travels. Love from North Carolina Mountains.
Dear Kinga Tanajewska, I`m Your follower till now. And wel-come to my country, Ethiopia. Here`s my comment on the language barrier at the check point on you way to Axum from Gonder, the guard asked you "metaweqiya", In Amharic or Tigri means I.D Card. Listen it again, because I was doing that 3 times. Wish U best
Awesome video (as always), Kinga! Watching those kids made a big smile on my face, seeing them being shy and happy with candies (it reminds me of when my own children were young, they're 23 and 17 years old now), awesome scenery in the mountains too! Safe journey, my friend! 😁✌
