Hopefully we can conceive before the new year though. There isnt any rush but i am really excited and a bit impatient to start our own family.. any advice will be a great help 💜😅
@oxcelesxo i was diagnosed infertile and after 7 years randomly got pregnant with my son who is 5 months and somehow im pregnant again 😂 my step-mom had 7 miscarriages and a stillbirth then my sister who is now 9. I know it's hard to do but just don't stress too much about it, being relaxed and not worrying is generally when it happens!
I took nothing but a change of clothes for 1st baby left everything else at home the nurses have everything you need. They even supply you with diapers and liquid formula if you need, both of mine were breastfed mostly.
My first birth I packed the bag 4 weeks before the date. Since 3 weeks before the due date is considered full born, I managed to not do it earlier. A week before the date, I was ready to go in just a few minutes. Baby came 1 week late. Second pregnancy, I showed up to the hospital with a change of clothes, toiletries, my meds and a charger. My husband eventually brought stuff I needed, but hospital shirts and mesh underwear is comfy. Baby clothes and stuff were still in storage. It was 6 weeks early, but had it been my first born the clothes would have been washed, ironed (😂) and folded neatly. When we got home, our baby had to spend her first nap at home in a doll bed, with a pillowcase as sheet.
Best thing I brought was personal dvds 😅 I was in labor over 24 hours and I was able to watch comfort shows and movies. Nurses said they gave never seen the south park movie let alone during someone's labor 😂
I packed 2 medium size suitcases for my first childbirth. And for the second one i got one backpack. Bassically just hoodies for when i get home with 1 onesie, blanket & sweatpants and pads lol.
My hospital bag the first time had everything but the kitchen sink in it. Second time around it had snacks, Gatorade, and a pair of PJs each for me and bub. Same size suitcase though.
Aren't birthing gowns just really nice and expensive clothes that immediately get ruined by all the blood and fluids? 😅 I'll take the free one at the hospital.
lol I think I’m the opposite…I brought basically nothing with my first but now I’m in my third pregnancy planning to bring my own birthing gown, a few changes of clothes, and matching outfits 🤣🤣
Oof thank you for the shower shoes reminder! Im 100% bringing an airbed for my partner, i need him well rested. And tbh since i want a home birth but am too scared to have one for my first, I'll probably bring half my house in home comforts 😂
YESSSS those mesh undies are AWESOME! Shockingly comfy and they fit PERFECTLY! I'm mad that I can't get such a good fit from store-bought undies... either the waist sits lower than I'd like or the bottom of my butt cheeks are showing! Not an issue with the mesh panties, though! They stretch to fit PERFECTLY! Ugh... WISH I could get more...
I remember hearing a pregnant comedian talking about how her friend told her to steal as much mesh underwear as they could possibly could before they leave the hospital
Im 19 weeks with my first baby and i have no idea what to pack😂 I was definitely lining up with the first mommas plans until I watched this, now im second guessing it lol
For everyone with long hair that simply doesn't want to behave, I might have a lifehack for you: Get those heatless curls things (I think you csn also do it with socks?). If you practice it before you go into labor, you have your hair out of your way and mouth in no time. Worked for me much better than a messy bun or ponytail. During labor, the tiniest thing could set you off (like a sweaty hair hanging in front of your eyes) so it's always good to take care of it. Plus side: You will look fabulous in those first pictures with your newborn 😂
Two c sections and the BEST thing i ever did was a portable fan. I cant sleep without a fan on at home and turns out thats all i needed to sleep at the hospital too. And adult diapers, screw mesh undies
When my mom was pregnant with my sister the only one freaking out was my grandma, and when my mom was pregnant with me she had some worry cuz I was a high risk pregnancy but I’m here luckily
So for my third and fourth baby I actually did bring a birthing gown, and it was so much more of a dignifying and comforting experience than just having the Johnny hanging wide open and not being able to cover yourself. And just already feeling so gross giving birth gown was a very nice change, also, don't bring an outfit to go home and that's too small. You'll regret it and feel terrible... Bring something that'll fit and that's comfortable... Like something that fit you around 6 or 7 months pregnant don't bring your old clothes you'll cry 😅
Water bottle, toothbrush, shampoo, nail clipper for baby, and a few outfits for baby. I also packed a yoga mat in case I birthed on the side of the road!
Just had my first. Grabbed some adult diapers for me (cause yes ladies, youll need them for the blood alone), 1 pack of newborn and 3 mo diapers for the baby, tho the hospital had that and formula, a change of clothes, and the husband. I figured if i needed anything, id get him. Oh, and my mom took all the first photos. I on the other hand b4 going in said, "im handing the baby off and taking a nap" my mom laughed and said "yeah right". She was shocked when i did just that. 😅
All I Took For My First Time Was Super Baggy Clothes. Mostly Dresses. And My Melatonin So I Could Sleep While Contracting. My Second Was The Same. Except No Melatonin. Both Experiences Were Amazing. But Not Good Enough To Have A Third
I brought 3 outfits not knowing the weight of my baby 😂 (ended up leaving with him in a Newborn Onesie) I brought only my going home outfit, my manz had a nighttime outfit and a going home outfit. Packed our hair brushes, I packed him a comforter cause I didn’t know about the hospital blankets and we packed snacks. Everything else we got from our hospital and they packed us up with two more bags 😂❤
Everytime I realised that I'm more relax about my first child than most people lol My package was just really a pajama for me and some clothes for him and of course all the stuff to take care of him 😅 I already knew I would be tired and not good looking and didn't give a shit as long as baby was good
Getting supplies from the hospital is the best part of the hospital (but honestly the bar for what is the best is pretty low 😅) I'm chronicly ill and I end up in the hospital 4+ times a year and the best part is looting the place while I wait for my discharge papers 😂 P.S. The little portable stroller fan is actually amazing in the hospital (and everywhere else)
I brought a tripod too! And by tripod I mean I asked the nurse if she could take photos of us 😅 Also I was hospitalized at 13 weeks with pneumonia this pregnancy and the hospital gave me a clip-on fan for my bed that I most definitely kept and am breaking back 👏🏽
Packing hospital bag for 1st baby. I didn't. I had my crochet bag and was expecting a routine ultrasound appointment. Nope we're preparing for being induced. Guess maybe I'll pack around 16 weeks.
YES pack as many mesh undies as you can and if you have a preemie that’s safe to go home after a couple days, grab as many preemie diapers as you can. And anything the hospital gives you to help the after birth pain downstairs(ie extra sized pads, diaper thingies, the little squirt bottles). You want to fit as much of that into one bag as humanly possible, I promise.
I was never like this. I always acted like they were the 3rd born. I was the first born of the first born. My mother was one of 6 and my sister is 12 years younger than me. I was always around babies since I was 12. I used to take care of 3 young ones overnight for my aunts. I was never the nervous mom who went overboard. But love when moms finally come around.
I actually didn't like the mesh undies because they didn't fit my postpartum plus sized body without having to cut them up the sides. They still felt uncomfortable. So I always brought my own knickers to the hospital. I would use their giant pads, though and the chucks pads as well. I just would rather wash my own cotton knickers than deal with the too tight, uncomfortable mesh ones provided in hospital.
Germany: Mama to be: „what do I bring to the hospital for the delivery?” Nurse: “ehm? What do you mean? We provide everything for mama and the baby! Bring yourself and your belly 🤣” Costs: 10€ per day of stay in hospital
Dont forget the extra room for taking non reusable free items, they usualy give you alot of newborn diapers but they throw out tge ones you leave bc of germs n such, and also any disposable underwear ,baby blanket, wipes and diaper cream

All I Took For My First Time Was Super Baggy Clothes. Mostly Dresses. And My Melatonin So I Could Sleep While Contracting. My Second Was The Same. Except No Melatonin. Both Experiences Were Amazing. But Not Good Enough To Have A Third
Yo that mesh undies hit hard. Those things were like gold to me
WHOA WHOA WHOA. We need to back up here. How is it that I've never heard of a magnetic onesie???
I brought 3 outfits not knowing the weight of my baby 😂 (ended up leaving with him in a Newborn Onesie) I brought only my going home outfit, my manz had a nighttime outfit and a going home outfit. Packed our hair brushes, I packed him a comforter cause I didn’t know about the hospital blankets and we packed snacks. Everything else we got from our hospital and they packed us up with two more bags 😂❤
I feel the portable fan! My room had 3 moms, babies and Dad's and it was HOT.n
My son was a surprise/emergency c section. I had nothing. I did eat for 3 days.
Everytime I realised that I'm more relax about my first child than most people lol
My package was just really a pajama for me and some clothes for him and of course all the stuff to take care of him 😅
I already knew I would be tired and not good looking and didn't give a shit as long as baby was good
Getting supplies from the hospital is the best part of the hospital (but honestly the bar for what is the best is pretty low 😅) I'm chronicly ill and I end up in the hospital 4+ times a year and the best part is looting the place while I wait for my discharge papers 😂
P.S. The little portable stroller fan is actually amazing in the hospital (and everywhere else)
I brought a tripod too! And by tripod I mean I asked the nurse if she could take photos of us 😅
Also I was hospitalized at 13 weeks with pneumonia this pregnancy and the hospital gave me a clip-on fan for my bed that I most definitely kept and am breaking back 👏🏽
I dont know if i will ever have my own kids, but i think its great that if i do there are people out there telling it like it is.
The way she skipped the middle child. Always!😂
But love when moms finally come around.
where did you get that bag love it
I actually didn't like the mesh undies because they didn't fit my postpartum plus sized body without having to cut them up the sides. They still felt uncomfortable. So I always brought my own knickers to the hospital. I would use their giant pads, though and the chucks pads as well. I just would rather wash my own cotton knickers than deal with the too tight, uncomfortable mesh ones provided in hospital.
Germany:
Mama to be: „what do I bring to the hospital for the delivery?”
Nurse: “ehm? What do you mean? We provide everything for mama and the baby! Bring yourself and your belly 🤣”
Costs: 10€ per day of stay in hospital
First baby i had that bag packed twenty weeks pregnant. The second one didn’t even get a hospital bag just what i had on and that’s it😂😂
❤💯❤ heb ook mijn eigen push present gekocht 😂 precies wat ik wilde ❤
Dont forget the extra room for taking non reusable free items, they usualy give you alot of newborn diapers but they throw out tge ones you leave bc of germs n such, and also any disposable underwear ,baby blanket, wipes and diaper cream
Random question what bag is that it looks so nice
I over packed with my first then under packed with my second after a 3 weeks earier than my scheduled c section with a surprise NICU stay
