very good! my stuff seems to take up more space, but I can sleep out when needed. I don't have a tripod, just the cameras in my phone. Happy travelling.
Love the video and the look of the bag. You seem to be advocating going smaller to the 19L backpack- personally wouldn't do that as depending on the climate (cold means thicker clothes, gloves etc.), the type of activities planned and, for me, how much food/eating utensils I would also carry, then the pack needs to be under filled as you have it currently. A ultralight stuff bag is handy to separate dirty/wet clothes, to carry food items and to store your main contents so you can go out for the day without all that additional weight.......Also recommend a collapsible drink bottle. Always thought packing cubes were a waste until I used them but now wouldn't "leave home without them" as they organise & compress items so well. Happy travels girl with the small backpack and lovely smile
@Esther I agree...re: the water bottle and the stuff bag...however...I have tried the packing cubes a few times and didn't like them. I am a hanger, and a bundler...I put my clothes on hangers [2-3 tops per bottom] and I bundle them. All my ephemera goes in 2x4 pocket hanging toiletry bags. Unpacking consists of grabbing the hooks and hanging. Undies and shoes stay in the bag. And...I have discovered I pack the same/similar weight, 13-15kg, Summer or Winter. I take more but lighter items in hot and humid places where I change more often, and less but bulkier items that I wear again and again in cooler climates. Same Same.
Excellent! Ans I know people who have a problem fitting everything into a board-trolley for just one night. This here is the way to go :-) I can also manage weeks with a 25l backack
pretty cool. I aspire to have this amount of stuff. Little by little. I moved to another country so I didn't bring much with me when I came so I started from scratch anyways but I being here for 2 years now, I have aquired more clothing than I probably should have... although nowhere near as much as I had in the States. Good video. Peace
Thanks for the vid, I was searching for a minimalistic packing video but everyone was like "oh well my backpack isn't actually that minimalistic" Keep up the good work!
I love your aesthetics. Some minimalist videos, well, it’s like it was necessary to chose between the aesthetic or the convenience and you show that’s not like that. Anyway, for me they’re lack of underwear. I need at leas the double of undies to feel comfy and sure. Good video
Fantastic packing video! I love my Synapse 25 and I think what makes it such a cool one-bag-travel-kind-of-pack is that it's low profile even when you have a decent amount of items inside. Again, great video.
Can I suggest a bit of food and fire lighting gear and torch and water purifier? Just in case u get into a tough spot. Maybe replace ur cardigan with a light weight rain jacket? Your bag which held all ur clothes and stuff is awesome! Where'd u get it?
I love your videos, I purchased a Synapse 25 last fall after watching your video and being inspired. What size packing cubes are you using? They look like the TB ones.
Scissors were not allowed, just leaving Sydney airport, my son's small scissors were confiscated and in Hong kong even we're just on lay over, my nail clippers were confiscated. But well done if you got away with them, :P
Nice video! I'm thinking of also getting a Synapse 25 for a trip next year, but I'm not sure what packing cubes to get. The ones you have seem to fit perfectly in the bag. What packing cubes are they? Tom Bihn Tri-star packing cubes? Tom Bihn Aeronaut packing cubes? And what size are they?
I'm impressed! It is the BEST PACKING VIDEO. Thanks for sharing, btw for how long were you travelling with these and where have you go. I mean like weather wise and so.. Thanks again
numbereightyseven I usually just leave them behind. Then again most times I stay at places for weeks, so "losing" a little soap and shampoo every now and then is not a big deal
This came up again in my recommended three years on and i still can't believe she didn't add a couple more pairs of shorts/playsuit or skirts, 2 bikinis and a couple more tops as it would have still easily fit in that bag especially as she didn't roll the items and that saves room! Take a full weeks clothing as in travel clothes you can wear the same larger items there and back .... Then 10 outfits! 5 day time (more casual) and 5 night time (nicer/more dressy) Playsuits and dresses count as one full outfit so that is two of the 10 in two items! Add skirts, shorts, thin flowly trousers and tops/body suits to match in amounts to suit the person but no more than 10 outfits in total and then they can easily be mixed and matched to create dozens of outfit combos! choose thin fabrics and crop tops, vests and cami tops and pack at least 3 bikinis for a hot climate ... wash one, wear one and one clean ... if they are rolled they will easily fit in a personal item or carry on!
It came up on my RUclips in November 2022! I think your suggestions miss her point of being a minimalist. Someone whose toiletries consist of a hairbrush, toothbrush and paste and very little else is a capital “M” minimalist. If she watches this, I suggest she start her videos with information about the bag/pack and the packing cubes. This saves her having to answer the questions.
@@sandrakramer1520 I am saying you can take that much in a tiny bag! I NEVER miss the point! it just an excuse to be filthy not to take enough for clean items for AT LEAST every other day so you can wash them and rewear them.. also you need to either take or buy toiletries and what difference does it make if you take enough for a few days and buy more! taking a carry on bag is minimal enough for anyone, it is just an excuse to be unhygienic and dirty!
switch ipad you have? I have regular Ipad 3 older one but things i bring with me to New jersey every year in August i go back to see my family is my phone of course headphones word-search book and brought small adult color book and ipad 3 but this year might switch order myself ipad mini for less space and less to carry through airport security also i can bring back airport souvenirs for my family :) also a portable dvd player with mini make up kit
jacqueline davis but she is using it all the time, so it’s great! Sometimes plastic bags and bottles come to us and using again and again and don’t throw it is Ok. I usually try to go every time with my reusable bags and my steel water bottle, but sometimes somebody bring me things in a plastic bag or I need to buy water or anything and then I try to reuse that plastic the more. I’m going to try to fuse plastic bag in strong plastic sheets to make a big and hard reusable bag for the shopping time. It’s better zero waste
Just good to have a backup, pickpockets and the likes are everywhere. After all a phone is all you really need in a case of everything going to sh**. Doesn't hurt if you happen to own 2 already, personally def take another too if I had a decent one. They weigh like nothing. Tho not going to buy one just for that.
Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. You are beautiful!
True minimalist
Very instructional for those of us who haul WAY too much with us. Good luck with your trip.
Keep smiling. God bless you with peace & love.
You've beat every other video I've ever seen on packing light AND sensible. Good on you.
A light sweater & a polar fleece jacket is good.
I’m just planning a 5 day trip, very small bag! Excited! 😊
Ignore comments and keep doing your own thing. Thanks for sharing.
You Go Girl!!! Fantastic packing job!!!😀😁😂😆😉😊👍👍👍👍👍👍❤💙💚💛💜
That’s great , I’m still working on mine. Less is more then life happens and you started to accumulate more things.
Awesome!! Next time I travel I'm going super light. Hate lugging a heavy bag around!
what a cool bag!
very good! my stuff seems to take up more space, but I can sleep out when needed. I don't have a tripod, just the cameras in my phone. Happy travelling.
Money and passport in an outside pouch? i would re-think that, its a pick pockets dream

Very inspiring!! I love that you have 4 tops. I'm thinking of going that route as well for my travels.
Excellent! Ans I know people who have a problem fitting everything into a board-trolley for just one night. This here is the way to go :-) I can also manage weeks with a 25l backack

Nice video, I just bought my first true carry-on size backpack, a kelty Redwing 44. I'd like to upgrade to a Synapse in a couple years though.
I love this!! :)
Thank you for sharing xXx
The water bottle ... the coolest part XD
I would suggest you invest in a metal water bottle. Plastic bottles are not healthy. Great video:)
***** good reply
Awesome job!

Good packing skills for sure ;) 😂
Very nice.
What about a windbreak or rain jacket?
Love the video - could you let me know which packing cube the larger one is? Thanks!
AWESOME!

What a lovely accent
you and your video are so cute 💕💕💕
Heya from new Zealand! What brand are your sandals? They look great, loving your vids xx
Great editing, simple good video :)
great video
Try downsize it to the Synapse 19, seems like you have a lot of extra room :)
I love your videos, I purchased a Synapse 25 last fall after watching your video and being inspired. What size packing cubes are you using? They look like the TB ones.
like the accent thanks for sharing
ur a champ. inspiring

Loved the video!! Was just wondering what kind of sandals those were so I can look into getting a pair😝
Angelina DeMaria They looked like earthrunners
I suggest more than 1-battery back up.
Why do you have packing cubes within packing cubes? Why not just load the smaller ones in the bag so they're easier to get to?
David Gessner they have a list on the Tom Bihn site showing you what fits in the Synapse 25. Also the eagle creek specters work well too
I'm impressed! It is the BEST PACKING VIDEO. Thanks for sharing, btw for how long were you travelling with these and where have you go. I mean like weather wise and so.. Thanks again
"This is my bag...completely full...completely full." Yeah, I get it. Virtue signaling because packing.
What about soap, schampoo, conditioner etc? :)
unless you're going to a really remote and secluded place you can buy all that at your destination ;)
Jesus Izquierdo yeah, and that means that you're then carrying them in your backpack.
numbereightyseven I usually just leave them behind.
Then again most times I stay at places for weeks, so "losing" a little soap and shampoo every now and then is not a big deal
What packing cubes do you use? I have the synapse 19 too.
What about toiletries ?? there are so few clothes ,there is minimal and there is your tiny bag!!
Her toiletries consist of toothbrush, toothpaste, and sunscreen. That’s really all you need if you’re staying in hotels that provide soap and shampoo.

Where did you get the stuff sack for clothes
Where did you get your packing cubes from?
Not bad for a slimy limie, slow down a little when showing the knickers, lol
Yes, I'm an idiot
can you tell me what kind of packing cubes you use? That looks like a rad set. Thanks!
I can't actually remember exactly, they were just off the tom bihn website. They have a few good options
i just found your channel and love it :) quick question - what camera do you use when traveling? and you edit everything on your ipad?
What packing cubes are these?
how many litter is your rucksack?
what size bag
25 Liters
What was that thing that she said was for hostels?
so skin cream...?...no? shampoo...? no?.. ok then , what is the name of the backpak / the brand?
switch ipad you have? What size are the packing cubes that you have inside the bag? I am looking on the Tom Bhin website and I can't work it out!
I love your multipurpose sports bra/ bikini top, where did you get it?
It's made from bamboo! I got it from a cute little independent shop in Byron bay. I think any generic sports bra or bikini would do the trick though
What are those shoes?! They're so thin!
I have some space in my carry bag... can I pack you in?
good!!!!!!!
were did you get these shorts that you're wearing from?
I got them about 10 years ago so I can't remember! They are just Nike running shorts I think
where did you get that backpack? or what brand is it?
It's a Tom bihn synapse 25, though they also do a 19 aswell. I had to order it online as they only make them in America
Unbelievable😅😅😅
what about washing stuff or deodorant or feminine products ??
Ti Jay probably available where she's going or provided at places she stays in most cases.
@@laineydiamond She doesn't mention it! i can't use dangerous products that are full of chemicals and heavily perfumed!
what about soap/deodorant?
What sandals are they please?
Rosie Lloyd they look like the xero shoes. Maybe the amori clouds???
It's hard to find an American minimalist girl. When I tell them I'm a minimalist they run away lol
Omar s
She is not American.
I know that's why I said that.
and then someone steals her bag
You are probably right. The argument checks out
Too much plastic!! ☹️

Beautiful girl, beautiful feet x
2 phones, unnecessary
Alina Aziz you have no idea what she uses them for. she shared what she has. she didn't ask for your critique.
Alina Aziz just in case. Sometimes you don't find an electrical supply or have no antenna
Carlos with that logic, you'd need two of everything wouldn't ya!
Just good to have a backup, pickpockets and the likes are everywhere. After all a phone is all you really need in a case of everything going to sh**.
