Most realistic hospital bag video. Keeping it minimal is key, you are not there to relax or get a spa treatment. Plus, time goes by so fast, you’ll be home in no time! Kristen, healthy delivery and can’t wait to see your new baby girl!
Cute Jammies ! My mother in law worked as a hospital nurse and taught me that hydrogen peroxide will take out blood stains. Pretreat your blood stains with hydrogen peroxide. Just pour some straight from the bottle onto the stain. It bubbles up when it is working! Thank you for all of your seasoned advice. It’s priceless ! Take extra good care , 💗
Girl I just love your down to earth personality, it's like you're talking to us girlfriends in the room. 😊 I hope all went well with your delivery hon. God bless u and your family and especially the newest little wee one! ❤ sending hugs!
I'm in Australia but I have recently discovered your videos. You are so down to earth and such a calming, reassuring presence. I'm pregnant with baby #2 but really enjoying watching these types of videos, thank you Kristen! I hardly ever comment but your content is a breath of fresh air x
You deserve anything you want to wear even if you don't use it at the hospital. You'll use it later at home when you're in that nesting mode. I think everyone is anxious to see your new bundle of joy.
Praying for a safe easy delivery for you and baby. You are right keep it simple. I am a retired nurse. The hospital has all the supplies you need. Also be sure to take home with you things like the breast pump kit if you use a hospital breast pump. Any diapers or other left over single patient use items or they will just be thrown away. The breast pump accessory kit will fit many at home breast pumps and can also be used as hand pumps. They are quite expensive to buy if you need a replacement one. These are single patient use items and will be thrown away if you do not take them.
You are so precious! I love your videos. You are so down-to-earth and honest about everything. You made me laugh so hard over the bras. You made this 71 year old lady have the best laugh of the day!! ❤
OMG I LOVE your "burner" concept!!! Also love that you're not afraid to discuss sanitary pads & leakage & all the messy things that come with delivering a cherub! Wishing you a quick & easy delivery!
I am a grandma and I agree that you don’t need a lot for the hospital. You are truly amazing and I can’t wait to see your baby girl. Your family is so beautiful. Have a great delivery.
as a soon to be new mom, i really appreciate your realistic, minimal advice. theres so much pressure it feels like to buy all this stuff or have all this stuff out of fear that if i dont have it i'll regret it, even though deep down i know thats not true. Even as a postpartum nurse i still am victim to this! the only thing i do recommend especially for first time breastfeeders is your breastfeeding pillow because, at least at my hospital, our pillows suck or we run out because each person needs like 5-8 pillows to get good support because the pillows are o thin
Great advice! I like how you’re logical & u mentioned we can use an app for the noise machine. Plus all the other truthful info. too. I’ve seen a lot of “trendy” hospital bag videos where people just buy stuff bc they saw other people do it. I got bored & only made it halfway through those videos. Gonna be 32 weeks in a few days, on Thanksgiving. Currently packing my hospital bag. I like to prepare in advance, but I don’t want to go too far bc then I’ll have to carry everything & make sure I don’t lose anything. This video gave me some good ideas. Thanks. I actually liked, commented, and subscribed to this channel which is rare for me. 😁
Second time mom here! I’m currently 16 wks with my baby boy, and my daughter turns 10 this year. It’s been a decade since I’ve done this stuff and I’m so thankful for this video. I agree with everything your bringing and lots of points that you made about the hospital (US) having a lot available for you.
When you are in hospital it may be the last time for a very long time that you'll have a chance to be waited on. Embrace it. Let those nurses pamper you and the baby. Get as much rest as you can because once you get home it's game on! 🙏
In case there is an accident involving blood, it's really simple to get out. Put the soiled item in a sink of ice as soon as you can and let it soak until the stain comes out then was as usual. The colder the water the quicker the stain comes out.
Kristen you are so right. I have a 42-year-old daughter and when I went to the hospital to deliver her, I did not have a bag at all. All I had with me was the clothes on my back. After I delivered her I had my husband bring me an outfit to wear home and an outfit for the baby plus the car seat. The hospital gave me anything and everything I needed while I was there. I’m praying you have a wonderful labor and delivery and another beautiful, healthy baby.
I'm due in October with my second baby! I had an emergency c section with my first and am doing a scheduled one this time.. I'm bringing nightgowns because pants last time?!?! Awful. So that's the one thing I tell everyone when they go to the hospital.. I obviously wasn't planning for one but we ended up with the surgery and I wish I would have had nightgowns so badly. I know you had your baby already but this is always my advice to anyone else that reads this! Just one is all you need!
I'm so excited for you & your beautiful family Kristen! 💕 I think you've given great advice. There's something special about bringing four of the same sex tiny humans into the world 💗💗💗💗From one mama to four daughters to another! 💞
~Refreshing, intelligent content! ~Appreciate you sharing your wise approach & ways with any new Moms-to-be! Kristen, I laughed out loud when you said, “… well then, if it did,…whatever!” It touched to my core to see you hold up the precious floral sleeper that each one of your girls wore when they came home from the hospital! A treasure,… & paired with that bow… 💖! My prayers for you, Josh & your precious growing family are ongoing. May the Lord bless & keep each one of you! ✨✨✨✨✨✨❤️🙏🏽
So so happy I found your channel! Also on baby #4. Going back to the hospital after 2 homebirths. This was so helpful! I’m excited to go through the rest of your videos!
For someone who is larger busted and needs that support that a good quality bra gives, I needed a nursing bra. Yes they are more expensive, but they are made for a reason. Regular bras don’t work for everyone when nursing. Everyone has to find what works for them.
Love this video. I am 37 weeks pregnant with my second child, and this video is what I wish I would have seen before packing the bag the first time. I thought I needed to bring so much stuff, I even read so many places, that I should bring my own roll of toilet paper... did not need to do that, lol. I feel so much more in peace and calm about what I really need to bring this time.
I love this as a FTM! I’m 36 weeks slowly getting my stuff together and I want the BARE MINIMUM! Will be adding a fan because I get really bad hot flashes when I’m in any discomfort. We love music so a little portable speaker and AirPods just in case I want to just zone out by myself. And a blanket for hubby since he will be extra cold! If I’m not “glammed up” then I’ll pack my blow dryer and some makeup to get ready over there.
Just wanted to throw in there that every hospital is different. Our hospital said although they do have blankets and pillows to bring an extra for myself and to make sure my husband has bedding or else he’ll be laying on the pullout couch with a single flat pillow. They said that we wouldn’t be getting as many pillows as we want so I will be bringing that!
Thank you for sharing! I’m pregnant with my first baby and it’s encouraging to hear your tips and reminders not to stress because the hospital will have a lot of what you need 😅 I hope your labor and delivery is smooth and you get to meet your sweet baby girl soon! ❤️
I’m long past the years of giving birth to my babies but LOVE this video. Thank you for your honesty and the encouraging words for new Mommas. AND although I’m a grandmother now, I learned something new! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. DRY SHAMPOO alternative is cornstarch. THANK YOU! I absolutely love your heart. God bless you and your sweet family!
Kriste n, you are a beautiful pregnant momma--inside and out. Praying for a healthy delivery, wisdom for the doctors/nurses. Can't wait to see this gift from God!
Adorable PJ's!! You're so ready! Hopefully you will have your sweet baby girl in your arms in the next video! Best of luck! Saying prayers for your speedy delivery and healthy sweet baby! 💗🙏💗
It's great to watch your channel growing I knew it would!! Okay, gonna watch now. When I was having my children Everything was maternity clothes!! I remember I had four outfits that I wore the whole time lol. I had a pair of jeans, a pair of corduroy pants, two jumpers and that was it!! Now they have such cute things. Can't wait to see this baby!
You have grown so much in creating better videos. From showing your hair without hats to stopping all the dismissing comments about yourself. You are producing very relevant videos. Baby here yet? Cannot wait to see her and hear the girls helping mommy. Hugs!!
Thank you for this. I was stressing what to bring as I’m first time mom . This is probably the most realistic pack with me hospital bag I’ve seen compared to the ones from Tik tok 😅
You have such a wonderful easy going way about you, Kristen, i will keep you in my prayers that everything goes smoothly. I really enjoy your videos. God bless you and your family!
Yes, definitely pack your husband a shirt. I will never forgot our sweet one spit up on my husbands shirt. His friend had to bring him a shirt. Kristen, I hope that you have a smooth delivery. Good advice! Congratulations!
I had my first baby 3 months ago and wayyyyy over packed 🤣 I was so out of it most of the time that I didn't even know where the suitcase was or what was in it. Next time I'm just bringing my toiletries, a couple of cozy outfits and a going home outfit for baby. I literally used NOTHING besides those things 🤣
I feel like every time I see hospital or “what you don’t need” videos I end up commenting this! lol As a mom of three, who nursed all three…one to 9mos and the other two to 15mo. IF you are larger busted you might actually need a nursing bra, I tried the “just lift” method and it hurt and was extremely uncomfortable and painful. Especially durning the beginning before the milk regulates. This is accurate for her, but don’t be surprised if it isn’t for you! Getting off my soap box now!
Yes, I absolutely couldn't live without my nursing bras! Not to mention, my pre pregnancy bras were all busty push up bras so not very easy to pull up or down anyways! 😂
When I had my babies over 40 years ago, I didn’t take one thing with me. And I made it just fine. They do supply everything that you or your baby needs.
Well, you are all set..if only baby girl would get ready. Excited for you and ready to see baby girl #4. Praying for you, as well to have a blessed delivery.
Mom of 3 here. I related to this so much. I brought a going home outfit for me and baby, charger, toiletries, and nursing pillow. That was basically it. You don’t need much at all. I brought sooo much stuff the first time because RUclipsrs said it was “essential” and didn’t use half of it.
Kristen I totally agree to use as much as the hospital offers. For both of my children I only brought an outfit to take them home. I am praying for a safe delivery and a healthy baby girl 💕💕
Hello sweet Kristin, nice to see you, love your down to earth personality, you keep it real, I’m the same way. Good luck with the delivery, can’t wait to see your sweet bay. Take care.
Just seen on instagram you had your wee girl on the 4th July a big congratulations she is beautiful can’t wait for the birth story and how you found it havin a 3rd baby as I’m due to have my 3rd in January ❤xx
👵💜 my granddaughter is having my first Great grandson the end of this month and I am sure she could use the helpful advice. The best of everything for you Kristen, have a easy labor and delivery! Sending you love and positive.thoughts.
Congratulations on your little one. 🎉❤ I dont have Instagram so i didnt see that she is already here. Love the Name.❤ One of my favorite names since i'm 15. Now i'm 31
Kristen, I just want you to know that I enjoy watching ALL the videos that you have done and continue to do . I was actually thinking about you since your last video wondering if you have had your baby yet . I want you to know that I will be thinking of you and will be praying that everything goes well . I think that you have three beautiful little girls and I will be looking forward to when you decide to show us your new baby girl . Take care !!
Yes! I agree with the regular bras. Pregnant with my third, have breastfed my previous and much prefer just lifting the bra and shirt up - works just as good! The nursing bra clips on the shoulders are also big enough you see them through a shirt 😅
Cotton undies are so much more comfortable! I have a lot of skin allergies and I can't wear synthetic stuff. Once you get used to the natural feel of all natural fibers, you won't go back. Hope you have a great experience and this was a great video idea.
👍🏼 I’m about to have baby#4 and I agree, if you need something just ask for it, breast pump, pillows, warm blanket you tell them they will bring it. I basically just bring my going home outfit, facial moisturizer , few makeup 💄 toothbrush brush and paste sleeper or sandals 🩴 hair brush, robe 👘 and two outfits for the baby, I stay in the hospital gown, so when I’m discharged from the hospital I don’t have to many things to wash. I get home take a shower and change to my cute confortable Cloths
Thank you for the video Kristen! You look amazing. …. Your regular figure with a big bump…lucky lady. I pray you have a good delivery I’m praying for you 💝🙏🏼
I love that you use cornstarch for dry shampoo! I hate the smell of dry shampoo, and the chemicals they have. If you get the more natural ones, they are so expensive! I am a brunette, so I use cocoa powder. It makes my hair smell like chocolate as a bonus haha
I use those pads to put under puppy pads to protect floor. Also slept on one during colonoscopy prep! I had a older dog with CKD and incontinence and put one on her side of bed. Came in handy more than once.
Might I say, florals (for your jammies) hide a multitude of sins...."Go Grandmacore!" And as an experienced momma of 5 (and now a grandma)and RN , you've got a great (and practical) list!
Most realistic hospital bag video. Keeping it minimal is key, you are not there to relax or get a spa treatment. Plus, time goes by so fast, you’ll be home in no time! Kristen, healthy delivery and can’t wait to see your new baby girl!

I love that all of your girls have come home in the same sweet sleeper. What a great memory.
Girl I just love your down to earth personality, it's like you're talking to us girlfriends in the room. 😊
I hope all went well with your delivery hon. God bless u and your family and especially the newest little wee one! ❤ sending hugs!

Thank you for sharing! I’m 33 weeks today 🥰

My thoughts as well ! I laughed out loud a couple of times throughout this video! I’m 61 & Kristen is pure joy! ✨💖✨
OMG I LOVE your "burner" concept!!! Also love that you're not afraid to discuss sanitary pads & leakage & all the messy things that come with delivering a cherub! Wishing you a quick & easy delivery!
Congratulations on the birth of Lily Anna. It's lovely to hear that you are both well.

You look so beautiful!! That blue really suits you!! Thank you for this list. My first baby is due in October, and your tips are so helpful!
I have been looking all weekend to see if you had your baby yet!
This is the best hospital bag video I've seen so far!!

I agree. I can't imagine pulling my bra up to nurse as she described. Seems super uncomfortable. I'm glad it works for her, but it's not for me.
Any tips on where to get a bra? I’ve got huge boobs 😭
@ Kindred Bravely is where I had success. They have super busty sizes!
Love this video. I am 37 weeks pregnant with my second child, and this video is what I wish I would have seen before packing the bag the first time.
Kristen I just want you to know how absolutely beautiful you are!! Good luck with your labor & delivery!!🥰
Thank you for your videos! 🥺🥲
Kristen, you are just beautiful! Can't wait to see your baby girl! God bless.
Keeping you in my prayers for a safe, happy and healthy delivery! ❤
The clearance Jammie’s were super cute, I would have picked those.
I picked up some of those Laura Ashley organic cotton underwear at TJ a couple of months ago and they are AWESOME!
They're so comfy and great for the hospital!
You are adorable pregnant. Congratulations on the new baby.
