Garage door spring trick

This is for professionals ONLY, never install a garage door spring for it can and will kill you if you get wrong, call a garage door professional to install your spring, this is only to show that winding is deadly and unnecessary. NEVER loosen any bolt on your door unless you know what your doing, you can loose a limb or your life.

My problem is the spring sets behind the door just enough where i keep having trouble getting the bars in because the hole will be blocked by the door and is a low head room door so the other bar hits the ceiling….

There is a right way and a wrong way of doing everything. Educate yourself, obtain the proper tools, get your head in the right place, and do it the right way. Peace and be safe. And that is all I got to say about that.

As a professional installer this way is very Dangerous . Also showing drill bits as winding bars . Should always follow instruction manuals not to get hurt or killed . Never do this it’s improper 100% . No MFG says to wind springs this way period !!!

As a Service Tech, I concur 100% This is NOT ideal.

@@jcrxp5904 how could you get hurt or killed though? It seems much safer than using the winding rods.
