Tell your friend to NEVER wear boots like that when you're fishing. If you fall in, they'll fill with water in a few seconds and you go straight to the bottom. When gumboots are full of water, it's almost impossible to take them off underwater.

Do you need fishing permit to fish in auckland. I have read that you need permit for the lakes.
