Hey guys! If you haven’t heard of Warmoth, they’re an American company that is Licensed by Fender to manufacture Fender parts such as bodies and necks. Don’t be fooled by the classic traditional Fender attitude, you can fully customise everything on the website to make yourself a modern metal machine ;) Let me know what you think!
I wear their T-Shirts and people/guitar players around West Central Illinois where I live are like “I’ve Never Heard Of Them”!!!!! I tell them - Now You Have!!!!!!!
Your content is great. Not many people can convey how a stick of wood can play such a role on how it will influence a particular style of music they are going for.
I'm in the States and I've used Warmoth also. I too ordered a roasted AAA flame maple tele neck and I have a pretty good idea what you must have spent upon it! Not cheap, was it lol ;-) It was part of a tele build I decided to do during this covid lockdown to fight boredom. I had them make me an ash tele with with AAA quilt maple top done in a black cherry burst. The neck I opted to have a clear gloss finish-it did make it even more expensive, but the grain pops even more and also changes as you look at it from different angles. I had them install SS6105 frets and it has a 59 roundback profile. Gold Grover tuners and gold Babicz full contact tele bridge, Bareknuckle Flat 50's pups and this thing sings like a bird. The neck is awesome, doesn't have a dead spot on it anywhere.
Hell yeah. Beautiful neck. I have a white HH Tele that’s all Warmoth. That guitar has more sustain than any guitar I’ve ever played. I also have a Strat with a Warmoth neck that plays amazingly. Warmoth makes great products.
I just got mine this week and i am blown away at it ... it’s just beautiful !!! Roasted flame maple neck with a kingwood fretboard ... i have put together many Warmoth guitars and they are as nice as my Carvin’s and PRS guitars
Man im so hyped for mine...i love carvin too. My dc400 and my bc rich mockingbird legacy ST are my two main guitars. The neck dimensions must be almost EXACT if not identical and they're my favorite. Like a wizard but a littke beefier. Warmoth's wizard dimensions are almost the same as the bc rich "shredzilla" neck so i know ill be happy there. If you're love the DC 135/200/400 necks then you will 100% absolutely love one of the newer bc rich models with the "shredzilla" neck. They're practically identical.
Fyi, flipping the headstock ala Hendrix isnt just for looks. This allows for the unwound strings to be a little shorter making bends a tad easier. Same principle with a top loader tele bridge. Just an FYI! Beautiful neck, how does it sound? I found the Fender CNC roasted neck I bought had much sharper edges all around then my custom shop and other older necks. I "rolled" or lightly sanded the fretboard edges and other sharp edges that my hand touches, took about 10 mins.
BTW ..For the record, Warmoth stipulates that none of their necks come with pre-leveled, or polished frets. I know because I have one of their roasted maple necks with stainless steel frets. I had to actually polish the frets myself and the frets did not need to be leveled, as there were no uneven frets. They say that the frets typically don't need to be leveled but once the neck is installed on a guitar body that fine adjustments to the frets may be required.
I have an almost identical roasted flame maple neck from Warmoth. I love mine as well. I wish that I had selected the light colored inlay dots on the fretboard and side. With the flame maple black dots are hard to see in dim light. Next time I might also not have it with the flame maple fretboard. Basic roasted maple might be less dark. Also I thought mine was also one piece of wood. If you look closer you might see that the fretboard was glued on like mine is. It plays great. Sand it down to 2000 grit sand paper not missing any grits and then oil it with boiled linseed oil. After that give it a nice polishing. It will feel like silk.
That neck is so so niceeee! A question not related to the neck, in your opinion such periphery songs are the best to learn and practice right hand technique? I’m a beginner to intermediate player when it comes to djenty right hand... can you help me out?
I had a 2018 Mexican Standard Tele and I sold it. I would've loved to put a lefty roasted maple on it so the head would've been flipped. I thought it would look cool but I sold it since I never played it and preordered a Solar A1.8D
Hey Keyan, this is off topic, but I need to ask you Should I use passive or active di-box for my guitars with active electronic? Thank you, love your channel, dude ❤️
I've always found highly flamed necks to be very unstable. Beautiful but unstable. I can't attest to how roasting stabilizes it. I'd be interested to see how it works out for you.
That's so cool, congrats. I'm hoping to do a very similar build for exactly the same purpose very soon lol; I'm heading out to urbana for school next year which is like the home of midwestern emo. Did the body you bought have a contoured heel joint, or was it a stock fender replacement body?
Hey there!! WOW!! That is one beautiful neck!! Could you tell me What are the exact specs on that thing?? I would love to get one just that size!! Most the necks I have seen look a bit large by them for my hands but that looks GREAT!!
I'm 3 years late, but how can there be this many questions in the comments that were clearly answered in the video? I feel so bad for creators being peppered with this level of questions.
Nice neck! I would make sure to check the fret leveling. Warmoth does not level their frets, they leave that for the customer to do. Mine was pretty good, but definitely not perfect.
@@QuickSticks8771 Not at all saying that they aren't great necks, or that the fret install isn't usually passable, BUT, even warmoth states they do not level frets on their necks because they are a parts supplier, not a guitar manufacturer. They leave the fine touches to you, the customer to complete to your preferences.
Fair call , I haven’t bought one yet and seriously considering Seems all the hate comes from this sharp fret issue But if they state that on their site then I’ll just manage that expectation Thanks for the heads up
@@QuickSticks8771 I don't think you will have any issues. I have 3 different warmoth necks here now, that were all ordered over the past year, and none of them have sharp fret edges. One of them does need a slight leveling, but all came out of the box great players, and extremely well constructed necks. I do not think you will be disappointed as long as you make the right selections. One of the necks here is a replacement neck i had to order because I Ordered a back profile that i didn't vibe with. So no fault of warmoth, more me taking a stab at what profile "I thought" i would like, but didn't end up liking.
Thanks for your time I’m just getting the last few details together to order Want to get it right as I’m in Australia and the mix of currency conversions shipping and taxes doesn’t exactly make it a cheap option But certainly cheaper than a fender custom shop !!
Gorgeous flame, but it won't be as stable as a straight grain would be. :) MAKes me want to buy one of these for my Mexi Strat.........it's a cool guitar, but a little plain.
Looks like flame maple, or tiger maple......I have some of that in my garage,...polyurethane 12 coats makes those flames dance in the light, oil dulls it out

What is the finish of that neck? or is it unfinished?
The smell of a new roasted maple neck is heaven when you unbox it. The one you got is a stunner too.
Your content is great. Not many people can convey how a stick of wood can play such a role on how it will influence a particular style of music they are going for.
Thats a sick looking neck \m/...Cant wait to hear it in action!!

Warmoth has a great neck. Probably the best guitar neck I've played on.
I have one of their roasted maple necks on my most recent build. It's beautiful.
Dude I just put a roasted maple on my Strat and woooow it’s nice. I made a vid about it

Nice! Did you get a satin finish or no finish?

Got A MJT relic Telecaster in a trade and has this exact neck. Never knew anything about it until now. Beautiful neck indeed.
Surprised you didn't choose to go with their 28.625 scale neck!
Whoa, Thylacine maple is real! Frickin' beautiful!

hi, really nice neck. can you tell us what finish you orderd and if this is a 3a or 5a neck or a regular quality? thanks

Yeah you're lucky you got that my neck has barely any flame in it and I was told I have to deal with it

Is this regular roasted flame maple or AAA roasted flame maple??
What grade flame Maple was that exactly? Thank you beautiful neck. Use it in good health

Is there any finish on neck or it is unfinished ? Warmoth give warranty for unfinished roasted maple necks .Thank you.
Love it! Working on my 3rd Warmoth right now! Have a very similar CBS strat roasted flame neck going on!
Did you get this one with the vintage tint gloss?
How much was it?
How long did delivery to Australia take?
Did you have to pay import duty?
Do you have to drill the smaller guide pin holes for the fender locking tuners yourself?
Hey Keyan, this is off topic, but I need to ask you
Should I use passive or active di-box for my guitars with active electronic?

Awesome video, overall I want to see you incorporate more B-Roll! Wait till you're finished with uni though maybe.

Awesome Neck. So what specs did You order when it came to the neck???? I’m wanting the same neck.
Hi could you specify did you order a 5A roasted maple neck or just regular flamed roasted maple neck?
Cool stuff! I've heard Warmoth necks have insane sustain.
Which BKP do you plan to put in it? The Yardbird set?
That neck is astonishing! Cheers
did you order that as a 3a or 5a flame maple?

does that arm have any finish?
Awesome ! Still waiting for my custom order roasted maple neck and roasted ash body !
Do you still have this neck and how stable has it turned out to be ?
Are you going to use Tru Oil on that? Curious, because I have that same neck.

What are the exact specs on that thing?? I would love to get one just that size!! Most the necks I have seen look a bit large by them for my hands but that looks GREAT!!

I'm planning to buy Warmoth body but kinda scared now because of your unfortunate dent

My first thought was that you were going to slap it on your Fender...
That he sold.....
