Now let's see: she has the looks, the verbal skill, the cooking talent, a way with her audiences and a great sweetness about her. So is it possible NOT to fall in love with such a (female) lady? My answer is : definitely impossible. I'm fascinated by her. And so are miljons of other watchers!

Nigella, we here in Texas have much experience with "Tex-Mex." When we make guacamole here, if you will leave the avocado seed in the bowl and sprinkle some lemon and/or lime juice all over the guacamole or avocado salad, it will not turn brown. Of course, remove the seed right before serving. LOL

My gosh I would never get the appeal of that bloody weird thing she uses for a knife (to chop the fresh tarragon). It looks like a nightmare, and a disaster waiting to happen in my hands. I would be able to get anything done.
Noooo, the mezzaluna, on a day you start out stressed but are determined to cook, puts you in an earthy, dominating, totally in control place. It's like, having both hands on the wheel. Pour a glass of wine. Put on Pavarotti and get not just your hands but shoulders also into it. Sing loudly as you salsa the blade around the board! Breath deeply over the board of herbs and throw back your head and laugh with glee. You are a mezza' master. 😉
I wish she wasn't so aware of the camera. These newer shows lack the spontaneity and less "smiley" vibe of the early work. I think it's down to maybe she's more scripted now, as before there wasn't a script.
For all the stupid comments re hand washing, these shows are focused on showing how menus are prepared, made and eaten. Not each and every minute of EVERYTHING or we’d be all day in the kitchen. You assume Nigella doesn’t wash her hands???? Use your heads, if you can!
