  • Welcome to the Question And Animation Series Episode #1. This is the animated story of how I started my self-improvement journey. Funny enough it was a real life battle royale (before Fortnight and PUBG were even a thing) that sparked same change within me. I hope this resonates with some of you - if so then you should consider starting your self-development journey as well. Take a look at the links down below!

So true. 5-6 years ago when I was in high school I had bought into everyone I saw on social media talking about how they didn't need anyone and were happy completely by themselves. Well, being naive I bought into that and became a complete recluse. Hasn't been until now that I realized it's not cool. I'm also on a self-improvement journey now! I am really trying to open up to people because I'm a shy guy in real life, so I volunteered for speeches and stuff against my own will. It may be hard, but it will be all worth it once I'm used to talking in public (of course, not in the *public public*, but you get what I mean). I'm also playing less of video games and more talking to friends and meeting new people. IMO, there's nothing wrong with video games , unless you play them too much.
I am also trying to be nicer and kinder to people, even if they aren't to me. That doesn't mean I won't stand up for myself though, I will just try to avoid unnecessary arguments and stuff.

From time to time I come back to this video and this channel because it gives me so much hope. During high school, I was in a pharmacy technician course which is kind of course which is fulled by academically succesful students and that was the case with my class but they were succesful because they liked to cheat a lot but they were also popular kids. They often made fun of me because I was shy, kind, I had different hobbies and attitudes towards life than them and because I was an average B student. There was one arrogant guy who liked to label me and my friends as 'F students' even though we weren't. I wasn't very hard working in high school because I lost intrest in the course (I love to draw and I realised that I want to work in creative field rather than in health care field) and because I was anxious. I had problems not just in school, but with my family. I often fought with my family, because they were criticizing me too much and my sister was a huge bully towards me since I was little (she isn't anymore). All this drained my energy and I lost my will to study anything. Going to psychologist at the age of 17 was the smartest decision I have made in my life. That changed everything. Luckly, I convinced my mom enough to let me find the right one. The first time I started going to therapy I remember thinking "Okay, I found help for myself and I will give my best but I doubt this will even help me".Guess what? I listened to my psychologist, she told me what I have to do to be happy, some of the tasks I didn't like doing it but I did anyways. And what was the result? I stopped feeling suicidal and anxious and right now I am the happiest I have ever been. I stopped going to therapy because I am happy. Right now I am in college and my first year is not doing great because I am lazy, I know it's a problem and I need to improve myself so I sometimes watch this channel and it helps me. Sometimes I worry that I will stay as a loser and nobody like I was in high school but this video gives me hope I can make something out of myself. This video gives me hope that even though I am 19 and things are not going that great I can still succeed in life in my own way.

At first impulses hit hard. With persistence and discipline, impulses lose power over you. I thank my past for the indulgence in drugs and impulsive mistakes, because now I have through experience a personal contrast as to who I want to become. Rather than that of my former self. Many of us are stuck regretting our darkest selves, when in fact that very darkness can bring about the light within us if we work to understand our inner nature. Mind: Visualize the path. Body: Take necessary action. Spirit: Facilitate positive outcomes of the mind and body through emotional will-power. Think, feel, do. Hope this helps friend.

    • @jaycole6824

Your subconscience knows better, via intuition. When intuition subtly speaks, listen. Then you feel the devil and angel effect of the conscious vs subconscious battling over your impulse to make a decision. Think on that, and choose the one which will steer you towards your ideal future self which you're working hard to become.

I told myself the same exact things you are/were so I could justify my own stagnation. I told myself these thing, but in reality, I didn’t like the person I was. I was lonely, sad and a shell of what I could be.
I would like I think I’m improving since then. I’ve been going to more outings, met new people, just stuff like that. And all in all, I feel a lot happier than I was. I’ve got multiple friends now, I’m trying to fix my sleep and eating habits, but in general, I just feel better about myself.

@@alexradu1921 I know that story. I meant how he actually started his improvement. It need not necessarily be money. Like improving his lifestyle , getting better habits etc.

I actually really needed this right now. This is helping motivate me to bite the bullet and start hunting around for jobs so I know where I want to apply to once I'm legally allowed to work. Thank you!

This happened to me! I realized I was alone in highschool on my last year, the problem was that I took it so bad and felt a lot of resentment for my partners that even when they occasionally invited me to something I said no as a self defense mechanism, telling to myself “they don’t deserve me”

My true weakness is that when i feel like i don't want to do anything, i just don't do anything and feel guilt afterwards, this is tearing me apart. Don't want to make or post videos, don't want to study or learn new things. But if start something, i can work very hard on it. The initiation is my problem

I started my self improvement journey when I failed in school. I have an IQ of 107 which means I am not dumb and I can easily pass school yet my laziness of ignorance made me a failure. But now I have changed to some extent.

Your past have similarities with my past and I'm still in highschool. I started to highschool last year and I wasn't spend time with almost anybody. I was never social and I stopped doing the things I had do before. And when corona time started I started to think about me. Then I started self improvment and I added sport to my life. I started doing exercises. And I attended a entrepreneurship project in my school even its online.
Now I'm more known than before in my school:)

I'm barely starting my self improvement journey. Part of me feels like I wasted my time and should have started earlier, but I also feel excited knowing my best years are ahead of me. Thank you for sharing your story!

my high school expperience was not fun socially. but I learned quite a few life skills through perseverance and tough experiences. my medical college experience (right now) is not uneventful but nobody's experience in medschool is very eventful-I am fulfilled with how it is, I work on it everyday to grow and videos like this help a lot.
~Wishing you luck on your journey albeit 3 years late.

Until I graduated from college, I thought people were born the way they were too and had no confidence in myself...fast forward 4 years...I’m about to start Med school. Don’t let others tell you what you can and cannot do. Also don’t limit yourself. Your destiny is not determined by your genes.
