LOL Alex is the skipper of the boat. He also does a keel walk, to show how extreme these boat's are.
Alex was number 2 on the last Ocean race/single-handed around the world in 2016 !! Next race is in 2020. Where Hugo boss and Alex Thompson is one of the favourites.
Try looking him up, and see how extreme the real race is. The French military has some great video of him alone on the boat, with the same lean on, and a broken foil.

..underway during an ocean race to free jammed lines
    ..very scary.

This video I think exemplifies much of what is wrong with sailing and why fewer and fewer people are taking part in it. This is neither heroic nor impressive. It's some dingus in a suit climbing a carbon fibre yacht with Hugo Boss written on it. Hemmingway wouldn't have written about it, that's for sure.

I've never heard of anyone completing the "Inspectors Walk." It's a double mast walk basically, where someone walks up the mast, the boat rights itself and then the mast is angled the other way and the person walks back down the other side.

He may do the dive himself, but by the looks of it he over-rotates and lands on his fucking back. Probably the reason for the retake

I’m not a sailor so i don’t know all the lingo but, i thought the mast was the pole. Walking to the top as if on a balance beam( hands are cool) I’m thoroughly impressed! Running up the sail not so much.....also Charles Barkley would have something to say about that “dive”.

This Vendée Globe without Alex Thomson and Clarisse Crémer will be a major let down. Shame on Hugo Boss and Banque Populaire for pulling their sponsorship, and depriving is of cheering for these two amazing sailors.
