After receiving a lot of question about how to correct color in underwater footage, i decided to do a tutorial on how to get great color in the camera while shooting and if your footage is all green blue, how to get it right in post production with DaVinci Resolve.

Thanks a lot André !
Thank you :)
You're welcome!
Thanks :)
You are welcome :)
I know it’s been 3 years, but this really helped me. Any cave specific feedback you have would be awesome. I’m typically in complete darkness at 60 - 70m.
Thanks for the keen words! The great thing about caves is that you bring your own light. For this (I am also a cave diver) i put everything at 5600k and then stylize in post.
Very helpful, thanks! Le mot comme pire(?) que vous cherchez c'est worst: "setting white balance to auto is the worst thing you can do."
Thanks! :) yes indeed haha
Good video. Thank you for taking the time to make it. I'm American, so the accent is a little difficult for me. My wife is French, but I am still getting used to the accent after 25 years. Si vous parlez lentement, je peux comprendre
Haha, yeah I need to work on that accent. Thank you for the amazing feedback
I have like 100 short clips, is there a way to mass apply to all and the go in to change those that looks weird with the preset
You can do a preset in one video clip and apply to all after it
I do not use gopro, will this information apply to other underwater filming? samsung s22 ultra in an underwater housing
Actually any camera. I just used gopro as 3-4 years ago that was the “standard” for beginner :)
thkank you @@MaximeCheminade
Reverse question please, how can we fix video where the Red filter used for underwater was accidentally left on for above-water footage, which now has a very red tinge? any help would be appreciated. thanks
I would inverse the values… but its trickier. If you have some footage to share, i am happy to give it a try :)
There is even worse: red filter on and shooting towards the bottom then horizontally or towards the surface and then the sun rays hit the water. The footage from the bottom are amazing but everything else gives a random or plain red hue that is extremely difficult to remove in post!! I just did that last week in Guadeloupe and I am mad! I lended my DJI Osmo action which has an underwater setting to my wife and she did not have this issue. I think, I will never shoot with a red filter again underwater even when I go deep!!
are there any tutorials for adobe premiere?
Should i do one ? :) Happy to do so!
Working on a tutorial for premiere as we speak ;)
@Envela Castel Pour le coup, je suis sur premiere, et meme si les bugs sont toujours presents, je prefere l'interface de Premiere
:)
Premiere pro tutorial is available :)
