Hi Cathy I have a question which cleanser should I use I have balanced and sensitive skin so I was thinking about these two the SA cleanser and hydrating cleanser so please help!
Thank you for making this video, we really appreciate it. Just a note, there's been more recent research that proves that both physical and chemical sunscreens absorb the rays, the physical ones block a very small percentage and absorb the rest, just like the chemical ones.
I use the CeraVe ultra light moisturizing lotion spf 30 and from my experience it’s pretty great. It’s light weight and blends very nicely. Like she said in the video, it leaves a nicely blended velvety finish like a regular moisturizer. I do have darker skin and it leaves no white cast. I have combination skin and throughout the day it does not make my face extra oily. Also at the end of the day when it’s time to wash your face. It easily washes off with my face wash (yttp). I haven’t tried it in water so I can’t say anything about that.
Ironically I am actually happy for the white tint mineral sunscreens leave because I have a very light skin tone and when it comes to make up, the lightest foundations in stores are too dark for me. So this is oerfect really, because it will not only protect my skin, but also even it out like a foundation would.
I just wanted to make a correction about “reef friendly” or “reef safe” ingredients. I was in Hawaii where the coral reefs are actually in serious danger from chemical sunscreens, and the harmful ingredients aren’t just the 2 that were mentioned in the video. The only sunscreens that can be considered “reef safe” are physical or mineral sunscreens.
@@victoria-ik2le wow the planet that you live on… and your children will have to live on… is dying and you say it’s not your problem…. I really hate humans lol
The coral reef is in danger because the tones of garbage and oil thrown every day in the ocen, the excessive use of boats which also polute and mostly from the danger of FISHING 🎣 , which destroys the coral reef and marine life the most. Go watch Seaspiracy

I never understood when people complained about white cast (as I've never suffered from it, and if I did it was so slightly that it didn't even made a difference), until I bought a sunscreen from Nivea and now I look like a ghost when I go out 😭 whatever you do, don't buy Nivea Facial Sensitive 50+ (for kids). That sh*t looks like face paint. No joke. Aaaaaand. It does not fade. Aaaaaad, if it's really hot outside and you're sweating a lot, the sunscreen won't dry and will move all around your face/body and get stuck on all fine lines you might or not have. Don't recommend 👎
@@huang3925 I actually really like Nivea sunscreen 50+ broad spectrum, it comes in a blue bottle in my country. It's very nourishing and doesn't dry my skin like most sunscreens do. Which is why I bought this new sunscreen from them, trusting it was as good as the one I usually buy 😭
According to a video I just watched by Chevy Chiang, the UV clear has an UVA protection factor value of 5.8 which is pretty low. Reason why he stopped using it, since it doesn’t protect your skin like it should. That’s the reason I will not buy it alone, because I really like it, but it isn’t enough. So I’ll use it once I’m sure I won’t be outside for longer than an hour! It’s really nice tho!

Love this!!! How do you reapply sunscreen through out the day if you're wearing makeup? Use a spray on sunscreen? I still wanna preserve the makeup & be protected all day!
My dermatologist recommended the elta md uv clear OR the alumier clear shield, and i opted for the alumier cause they only made 100% physical and I believe it is cruelty free. Im SOOO happy I tried it!! The whitecast is gone for me in about 10 minutes and i love that its something I can feel comfortable with applying daily since its all mineral. I have oily and acne prone skin and its made my skin feel amazing. I absolutely love it and im so glad I finally found a sunscreen i can rely on daily after 6 years of trying like 20+ sunscreens 😅 my wallet is also happy I can stop searching haha

The white cast can be solved, first you take a very small amount on your palm rub them together then spread it on your face. At first I was applying sunscreen from Cerave all wrong until Cerave customer service gave me a very good advice. My skin was not white like a ghost but I noticed my skin colour changed a little bit, it’s not too obvious which is a good thing for me. Unfortunately the spf 50 sunscreen is more for lighter skin tone. I had a light skin tone maybe that’s why I didn’t have a problem with a little bit of white cast.
So your palms absorb all the sunscreen? You won’t have as bad white cast because you don’t get as much product on your actual face. I notice the cerave 30 is good for my skin tone (I’m pale). Tho the 70 leaves a white cast. It seems to get whiter the longer is stays on my face.
