  • Apex Park was a fast favorite of mine... Enchanted Forest is fast and well built and Magic Mountain is your techy option. The trail layout is very "out and backy" making both Enchanted Forest and Magic Mountain easily "lap-able" if you want to hit either of these trails more than once.

I've been riding Apex since the mid 90's and still don't have every line mastered. Such a fun trail. I love it because I'm capable of riding the entire thing, but it's close to the limits of my ability. Keeps me on my toes for the entire ride. Just a note for first timers. Bikes are allowed on EVEN days only (the date ends in a even number, so 2,4,6, etc.

I like how you re-rolled that one Magic Mountain section. I’ve started doing that a lot, but it is helping my flow and confidence. Sometimes it takes me like three hours on a trail like that, because I keep sessioning various sections on the way down.

That's the best way to do it. If you feel like you can do a feature, it's always worth stopping to try it out. That's the only way to get better... try new things when you feel like you can do them

Awesome video! I only rode Apex a handful of times when I lived out there, but the locals refer to Magic Mountain as "the gut" and it is famous for people taco'ing their wheels on those rocks. Glad you enjoyed it!!

Hey just saw this. Glad you liked it! It was a lot rockier than I expected after seeing how smooth Enchanted Forest was. I can definitely see people smashing rims on some of those rocks, glad that didn’t happen to me… although I don’t think I ride hard enough to do any serious damage 🤞

hahaha dude I saw multiple people walking out when I went there for the first time last week. I believe it. Very glad I put my cush core in before checking this trail out.

APEX ROCKS!! I wear Photochromic lenses when on that trail due to the variation in lighting. It has been a minute since I have been on there. I need to make a trip!

Living the life! Sick trail. That Toyota Sequoia still reliably taking you all over the US I see.

It was a sick trail! One of my favorites I saw out there for sure. Sequoia is doing its best haha. It's still truckin and starts like it did in 06... just needs mechanicals every once in a while tho

Nice vid, I missed this one when I was in Denver and opted for North Table Loop instead, but how long was the initial climb? I heard its a tough one.

Like 3 miles I think? I remember a couple tough switchbacks and a punchy section or two but I don’t remember it being too bad. Definitely worth the climb tho! Super fun trails

Love your videos! I assume you climbed Argos to Pick-n-Sledge and Sluicebox towards Apex trail before you got to Enchanted Forest? How are those climbs?

@@Proviction Thanks! I sawed a GoPro mount in half and JB welded the eyelet part to the chin of my helmet. It’s come off several times in crashes but it’s been pretty sturdy… and since it’s kinda molded to the shape now, it pretty easy to reattach

Hell yeah, just rode this for the first time the other week! Such a fun trail. Its funny that section at 6:45 - 7:16 looks so much more mellow in this video, wonder if its gotten washed out or something.

Thanks! I personally don't feel like it climbs any worse than my Spark. I'm not a bike geometry specialist by any means but for what it's worth I don't feel like I'm dragging it along

"THE GUT" the renaming is BS. you will know the real ones from the newbs based on what they call the trail.
