Big fan! I’m also from Atlanta and now live in the area. I watched the apex and white ranch videos before I hit them up recently. Next stop Lefthand and Walker Ranch
Dude made it look easy I was walking all the way down those steep windy cliff hanging trail. Really opened my eyes to what full suspension dh riding is like. I love the trails tho. Came to CO from Mass.
I've been hearing Crested Butte is one of the best. I'll have to take a weekender out there this summer sometime. Where do you think you'll go for vacation?
@@_Aitch_ Pikes Peak and Palisade plunge are the 2 trails I want to ride the most. I also want to get out to crested Butte to ride the 403 trail and doctors park. Then probably just gonna find some other trails to fill in the gaps.
Mind sharing your climbing times on any of these CO trails? I also have a longer travel bike and am coming from the south so wanted to figure out how much time to budget for these trails when I visit
I actually rode here yesterday. Belcher Hill climb and Upper/Middle Longhorn took a little less than an hour and half. Most of the trails right outside of Denver are about an hour climb
Bikes yield to hikers and to uphill bike traffic as well. Most hikers or runners (like those in the video) just hop off the trail real quick because it’s easier to let the bikes filter through. I was slowing down to stop but saw they had moved off so I just kept going. Also, everyone I’ve run into has been super friendly. There’s a bit of an mutual understanding I think… like I’ll slow down and stop if I have to but at the same time they’re also trying to let you through if they can. I try to be respectful because they’re just out trying to enjoy their day too without getting run over by a bike. If I’m coming up behind them, I’ll fully stop and say “right behind you when you get a second” or something like that. But if they see you from far away, there’s a little more leeway. But it’s a little bit situational. Thoughts?
@@_Aitch_ Sounds pretty standard. Same general rules here in SoCal, and often same dynamic - hikers often hear us coming and step aside before we even get there. Agreed that everyone is out to enjoy the mountain, and I try to take a couple seconds to gauge people's reactions/temperament as I approach. I was just wondering, because it almost appeared as if the rules were different, like maybe the trail was a mtb-specific trail where hikers understood they need to yield. Just curious. 👍
Keep the content coming. One of the most underrated mtb channels out there.
As you wish. More on the way!

Glad you’re back in the saddle, H! I’ve been itching for these ride videos all winter!!

I've been waiting for this!
Sorry to keep you waiting! More coming soon!
Man I love riding in Colorado. Crested Butte is probably my favorite area but this year I’m hoping to do a 2-3 week vacation to check out other areas

@@_Aitch_ got it thanks so on average 4ish mph pace uphill you think ?
@@ts-rf7er looks like an average of 4mph on the climb for this one (eyeballing it on my speed tracker)
Curious about your interactions with the hikers...do bikes have the right-of-way on those trails?

You considering going to Ober mountain opening day next weekend for a video?
I live in Denver now so probably won’t be able to make it unfortunately. Is it a new park?
@@_Aitch_ yeah Ober mountain in gatlinburg is opening a lift access bike park this weekend, supposed to be 12 trails & was built by the Windrock guys
Are you living in CO these days?
Yeah I moved to Denver in December. So “bike season” has been a little more “seasonal”
