Oil Filled Watch Mod

Science project time! You know me... Always got to modify things! Correction: At the beginning of the video, I said "Seiko" even though the watch is obviously a Casio. What I wanted to say was, "I'll be using my favorite Casio that reminds me of my Seiko's."

I love this. Very cool. So you think adding some esible glitter would be too much for the watch to handle? Like the kind thwy use in drinks to make them aparkle and
glimmer?

Would mineral oil work for this application?

The oil that is used is silicone based, which is a great insulator and is also not corrosive, which will not damage the coating on the dial and the hands. Mineral oil is also non conductive, but I'm not sure if it will damage the dial or the coating on the heads of the watch.
