  • If you want a soap that strips, this is a must have in your arsenal. It is now discontinued but still available online (I found it on Amazon). Love this product!

    You used very little amount indeed and it worked perfectly.
    Also I want to suggest a group from Germany (detailing school) who have also covered this product in 3 videos.. They found that when you press it harder is more effective and that it does not cause maring but any maring is caused by the mitts actually. It actually removes even ceramic coatings.
    I wonder how is it possible to remove protection so easily and other dedicated products always fail. And how is it possible it is discontinued since it is so effective.
    2 years later and it is still available..

    Would you say it’s good at removing contaminants, thus reducing the need to clay your car?

      There are no shortcuts in detailing my friend. U will still need to clay

      You may very well still need to clay, BUT this product may help reduce the anount of contamination, therefore saving your claybar the extra hassle and prolonging its life.

    3 years later, is this product still viable? Would using a decontamination towel give similar results? Anything else on the market that works like this? Thanks!

    Great job again Ben. Keep the videos going buddy. I love your channel. I've learned all sorts of new things from you and many different effective products to use in detailing. I see you crossed the 500 subscribers threshold! Congrats. Your getting some recognition finally for your great detailing channel. You'll be over a 1,000 in no time and then............who knows.
    I finally got that paint correction done on my car. Whew man, I don't want to do that again for a while. I took me two days just to compound and polish. It looks FANTASTIC though. I was very pleased with the final result. I used Polish Angel Master Compound with microfiber pads, then their Master Polish on foam polishing pads, they both worked very well. Leveled down the paint and polished it to a super high gloss. Super easy wipe off and no white residue on any of the trim because I didn't tape it off. Now I have to apply their Master Sealant and I have a several different products to maintain the paint afterwards. I need to get their Rapidwaxx, or Red Opal (which is a unique "color infused" liquid carnauba wax with red coloring in the wax to enhance red paint) as a final step product and topper. I need to get you a picture of the final results! LOL

      On a site note related to this video, I still have a bottle of the Mequiars soap you show here. It does do a wonderful job of striping down the paint. I used it on my wife and I's daily drivers occasionally before I put a new coat of sealant on them and it works great to get the paint really clean and ready for a new coat of whatever wax or sealant you use. I didn't know they were discontinuing it though. I'll have to get a few bottles to keep on hand for any future strip washes. I don't think most people really understood what the product was so it didn't sell very well. That's a shame because it is a great product for what it is, stripping down the paint to prepare for a wax or sealant. They should rename it "strip wash" and it would probably sell great.

      Wow, sounds amazing! Yes, it’s a ton of work and well worth it in the end. Glad ur liking the Polish Angel. It’s so intriguing. I appreciate the nice words as well. Keep on detailing. Make a video of ur car so I can watch the finished product.

      I love it..I agree that people didn’t know what to do wit it..I use it before polishing to get any old sealant and deep caked in dirt off... they should have put it in their professional line and marketed it ask that and I think it would have done better

    Thanks for demo. Always thought it was an intriguing product. But, I thought applying it to the mit/sponge a hundred times to get around the car would be tiresome. Think I would prefer to dump 12 oz of Purple Power Vehicle and Boat in a couple gals. of water and be done with handling the bottle. Probably just me, though.

    • @DetailingBreakdown
      @DetailingBreakdown  4 года назад +1

      Stev Blatt I’m always scared of that Purple Power. But u have to do what works for you. I bet the Meguiar’s works great on water spots as well. Definitely cleans bugs easily

    • @joevanseeters2873
      @joevanseeters2873 4 года назад

      I think they are "safe abrasives" if there is such a thing. It is a strong soap though and cleans the vehicle (paint, wheel wells, etc.). I've never had a problem with any "marring" or anything like that on the paint. Seems to work like a strip wash similar to Adams Strip Wash or Chemical Guys strip soap, etc. I don't use it for regular washing, only when I want to strip off any waxes or sealants that are on the paint and then apply a new wax, sealant, spray coating, etc. immediately after drying the vehicle. It works great for that.
