All the musicians like your work :) you're the reason (with meshuggah), i still listen to metal, and enjoy my day! (or more accuratly, the parts when i do something physical, else i'd listen to tony joe white) ... rabea and leo are sure top notch musicians, and it's a pleasure to see rabea dissect an opeth inspired riff, and make it so simple. As for the singing, i'd like to say, with sophia urista, you have the greatest singing talent i know, it gives me shivers everytime i hear "pisces". Love from Paris
Jinjer, I'm an old metal head from the beginning of it all. Grew up on Sabbath, early Scorpions, etc.. then liked Testament, Early Metallica, Anthrax, Seven dust , BLS, Cycle of Pain... I haven't listened to new metal in decades. Maybe a Lil Avenged Sevenfold. You guys brought me back. You are so versatile and have so many different elements in your music. I love this current line up. Drummer is fantastic, bass is phinominal, guitars are insane and your vocals hooked me from first lusten. I love how all your different influences shape a very unique and interesting style. Keep doing your thing. It's effing awesome.
I love Tatiana's distorted vocals, but her cleans are top tier for me. The kinda 'smoky' quality she has is just amazing. I love the format of these, with the riff lesson at the end.
@@m2pmd70 I've always called them hardcore vocals, if someone came up to me and called them distorted vocals I'd either assume they played guitar and weren't into metal or they had severe autism
Very cool to see you learning this live, then playing along with the band...oh, and switching live between your two cameras. You’ve got a great multitasking mindset for this. Well done and thank you!
I don't see a lot of people bringing light to how good the band is as a whole, so it made me happy seeing you mention that. Tatiana's vocals are obviously phenomenal, but everyone in the group just absolutely kills it. The composition for every instrument is just as good as those top notch vocals.
To this day I watch every JinJer react that trails across my feed lol Also love the face he’s making at the end basically nailing the part off a first listen. Great musical ear. This is the metal i’d play if I got back into it. Love it.
Dude, yes! React + figuring out riffs and demonstrating that is such an awesome differentiator from other standard reaction videos/channels. Loving it so far, dude!
I can't tell you how refreshing it is to finally have some who knows heavy music react to this song. Don't get me wrong, seeing the reactions of non-Metal people to her voice is funny as hell, but some of these are just annoying...."OMG IS THAT HER? THAT CANNOT BE HER!!!! THAT'S A DUDE!!!! HOW DOES SHE STILL HAVE A VOICE?!" Yes it's her. No, this doesn't hurt her voice, at all. If this was the case, no one would be doing it. Of course, if you do it wrong, you'll destroy your voice, but that can happen with any kind of vocal.
They also made that video to show off how good their drummer is, and no one talks about it. This probably the first reaction video that I've seen that even mentioned time signatures, which they switch pretty frequently in the song (though the song is arranged so well I didn't notice most of it the first couple times I heard it). It's nice to hear someone who actually knows what they're talking about react to music. Again, as you say, it is funny to watch other people
@@PalmelaHanderson yeah I'm not a drummer so when I notice drums it's usually that it's awesome... And damn that drummer is on point, so groovy and intricate
😂 I know guys, just kidding, it's always good to see reactions when saying stupid shit like that!! But she is one of the best out there right now. No one is the best, music is art not sport
This song was my introduction to the band. It kept popping up in my recommended videos, which I tend to ignore because they are generally shite. But I was bored one day and decided to click on it. So glad I did, as this has become one of my favorite bands. Such a great group of musicians.
Its not that difficult if you have a good ear and work ethic. The musical ear helps you hear the notes and the work ethic (years of playing, fret knowledge) helps you find it. Saying that though, not everyone has the talent, he has a fantastic musical ear.
Hey Bea, ever considered getting the other guys in Toska to react to the same video, then upload their own instrument breakdown to their channels? Would love to hear Dave's take on the bassist from Jinjer, he always sounds so unique in his compositions. As for a suggestion for next time, 'Oceans of Slumber - Winter' is an absolute belter!
Love it this was awesome. Normally i can't be bothered to watch a reaction if they already know the band/song, but you were unsure so i gave it a shot.. your riff breakdown was so cool glad i stayed and listened
Dude, I've been following you since the Toto cover you did with frogleap! I love the video format that you do! The fact the you minimize yourself, and put the video that you're reviewing as the main is awesome! I think you are the only RUclipsr (at least that I have seen) that does it that way! Keep up the incredible work man!
I subscribed to you on the first view because you thought the same thing as me all of the way through, especially the Opeth feel before the end. Seriously Opeth which is incredible to recreate in their own feel! You are the first review vid of this that acknowledged Op! Subscribed and following because of that.
I just want to say I love that you have the song large and your reaction in the smaller shot! I love Frog Leap, so I have been following you for a log time. I also watch every reaction to Jinjer but enjoy the musician’s reactions most because of the breakdown of the songs. Thank you for doing this if I can make a recommendation Judgment & punishment one take studio video.
Hi Rabea, I wasn’t sure about you doing reactions (lots about these days!) but really enjoyed the riff breakdown and how you picked out an interesting technique in the spiritbox video. I think info on the time signature, tuning, interesting chords/modes is really interesting. Despite reservations about you doing reactions, I’ve personally discovered some new bands (to me) who are now firm favourites, like Nightwish, Amorphis and Band-maid, all through reactions and comments. It would be cool to see you introduce us to some of your influences and favourites and break down some tracks and techniques. My song suggestion for you is band-maid Freedom (Live), which has some tasty drumming in it!
Another great one. I like how you show the process floundering around working out the riff, far more relatable and informative than if you just suddenly know it.
Glad to see you doing riff breakdowns with your reactions. I have been watching you and the others for years. Would love to see you react to Unleash The Archers, Awakening. Love the riffs in that song.
Spot on with the Opeth reference. It's the first thing I thought of when I heard that bass line. The bassist did an interview with Alex Hefner recently and stated that he listens to Opeth.
Thanks you for this video Rabea, your the men!! Your rocking to my favorite band at the moment and wearing my favorite band of all times!! And by the way, that last riff was all i was missing to finally play this entire song, thank you again bro!!!! I defenetly recommend you to listen more of Jinjer !!
I've watched 30 - 40 of these Jinjer Pisces reacts, chasing that rush of when I first heard it. This is the first time I noticed the Star Wars poster behind the bassist, lol.
Dude, just saying, the instrumentation reminds me of your style in a loooot of ways. From the jangling vibey clean sections to that crushing outro riffage. I am definitely going to check out Jinjer now, they seem to be a very talented bunch of musicians. It's so nice to see you figuring out the parts by ear and really diving into the ins and outs of the song as well. Thanks for working so hard on the freshness of your content and being an inspiration in general.
Nice!!! Love to see your reaction bro! This is awesome. A respectable musician reacting is what we need!! Plus I’m saving for your new sig with burl. They tickle me in all the right places. Ha1.
Hah, love it. All of these other reaction videos are all grooving, then go google-eyed and flustered over her growl. Rabea just digs in and gets his nod going.
Dirty Loops - Work Shit Out. If you're not already on board with this band, you will be. They lure people in with pop vibes, but then hit them with jazz-fusion-y... stuff, and absurdly good instrumentation.
Thanks for this reaction! Always big pleasure to see talented top-notch musicians review our music 😉
Love you dudes 🖤

Yea...... There's no distortion here baby. Just raw talent
It can be rightfully be called "distorted" without meaning it's synthetic. To avoid confusion I'd pbly use the word "growl."

that exact underrating of the bands other members was very disappointing
This is one of these songs that I wish I could hear again for the first time.
This idea is absolutely sick. I like the reaction but the idea of Rabea working out riffs for us is gold
Making reaction videos with your style of riff breakdowns is the absolute best content.
Dang I love her cleans as much as her gutturals. So much talent. The whole band sounds amazing live!.
Hi Bea, could you do a riff breakdown for some Karnivool? Maybe Themata or Goliath would be sick to hear !
Yaasss
Rick Beato has a pretty good video about Goliath
Pls! I would love to see a Themata riff breakdown. That song sounds amazing!

I have a friend that toured with them and was blown away by Tatiana's vocals. She's always on point with the screams and tuning with clean vocals

DUUUUUDE .. the first person who is able to hear the resemblance with Opeth .. tbh as I'd expected from you ;) hat's off!
@ i'd wish for more stuff like this, opeth definitely left a gap there...
@ Still are
Him and Truant Reacts and 7 Aeons are the only one's I've seen pick up on the Opeth vibe. I felt it immediately too
The Opeth influence on the bridge riff is *incredibly* obvious. Seriously nobody else has pointed it out?
More like with In Mourning
Bring this series back!! Love watching these dude!
Not quite sure if Jinjer or you transcribing it on the spot is actually more impressive.
He is spot on. It’s insane.

Ditto summer 19 - once past the WTF some very very clever skills in this band
This still gives me shivers
