Thank you for sharing some precious items with us. I know what it’s like to keep items from family members because I have things from my mom. I hope my kids will treasure mine also .
I love old sewing things! I usedto g " junkin" a lot!(as my kids say ) I collected different boxes with needle packets , some of them unused . Wooden spools of all sorts and crochet hooks ! Bak in the day, there were hooks from England, Germany and the US. I have vintage crochet booklets from 1912 that specify which hook types to use ! They weren't a standard size then ! I have quiltpatterns by McCalls priced &.10 ! I didn't get any of my family quilts, only the one my grandmama made me so I've adopted a few orphan tops 😂 I'm currently finishing a flower garden top of all lavender print flowers with golden yellow print and white. The end needs finishing as the maker miss sewed the end 😂.Almost done with another traditional floeer garden that was missing ten green edge pieces ! A lot of handwork to do this summer to finish for my girls! 🎉
How precious it is to have such lovely keepsakes. I love it when you struggle to say your words. You just pull yourself back in line with a big "bluùurŕr" and then carry on. I'm so glad you don't edit them out. Thank you for sharing xx❤
I got my grandmas sewing box and she had wood spools with thread and it said “can boil”. She had stuff in there with the price too. Wow! It’s way more expensive now.
Thanks for sharing your personal memories....
Love this.
That is a very unique and beautiful quilt. The contrast between the fabrics is outstanding. Lovely and inspirational, Old Glory.

Thank you! Sometimes I wonder if I’m boring people. I appreciate the feedback.
I have my grandmother’s Featherweight. It still works but currently in the original case.
