SF doesn't need any more "upscale" places to eat. What it needs are more AFFORDABLE places to eat.
That doesn’t make them money 😂
I’d be surprised it lasts more than a couple of months.
all negativity. At least these people are trying
SF food court
Thanks for generosity in donating food to who needs most.
Btw, there was another food hall a couple of blocks south a few years ago. Are they still there??? They had a small grocery store and about 5 small eateries.
nope
We could eat for under $10, but it was in the tenderloin and now it’s not there anymore
Do not get to used to this food court, it will shut down soon.
They just closed the venders market in the Mission cause no one came. Now this. Plant trees and open cafes that are well lit at nite. Let street ARTISTS and MUSICIANS thrive. Bring back CULTURE
To be honest, I agree that literally cleaning the streets, planting TREES, keep it safe at night, etc goes a long way
no one wants to work in SF anymore.
They all the same groups of people.
I don't go up because BART is a nightmare, 880 and 101 traffic is insane, toll is expensive, parking is a nightmare AND expensive. it's just traffic and parking. i don't mind anything else
but there's just so much food up there, even to this day that i wanna try that opened up in recent years that i have yet to go because downtown congestion is just absolutely the worst- even with people not going up because of crime.
for me, all the best food spots are in the heart of ghetto ass neighborhoods.
And where do they want to work.?? ...... Oakland...
Upscale 200 dollar burritos
I was in Ikea a couple days ago, it was pretty quiet in terms of customers.
I'm shocked
The days are numbered for those glass windows….I give it a week.
I'll check those windows for you next week and let you know 🤡
I give it a day.
@@lescobrandon9693 I went last week, still open 🤡 no broken windows either
10 minutes before it gets turned into a homeless shelter
haters gonna hate
Upscale means how much for a burrito?
$25..lol..there's already one in Mission that charges $22 and justifies it cuz he said his onions are $80 a bag🤪
San Francisco is a City so rich in history. It will remain an iconic place and although it is down right now nothing ladts forever.
Lol okay 😂
I can just imagine it becoming a after hrs spot lol
I guess in San Francisco "upscale" means there's no one leaning against the wall with a needle in their arm...
they had one of these food court on 6th and Market a few years ago, Not Closed
There was a food court in the Emporium, CLOSED. There was a food court in San Francisco Center, CLOSED. There was a food hall in the Twitter Building, CLOSED. San Jose announced their own downtown dining hall of upscale expensive fast food options, and when I passed by it last weekend, half the place was closed, the other half looked boarded up. I've no doubts this place is going to flop.
@@celebrityrogI have hope it won’t flop
Great! In easy walking distance. Just what we need. Had I known I'dve got off at Powell at 6pm .
I want SF to succeed but that won’t be possible with this mayor
Lol!! It's not the mayor, never has been. It's you demorats.
36% compared to 4% 4 years ago... I say give it a year & it will be up @ 50%...
SF needs their own Grand Central Market like LA's, a huge night market always livens up an area and brings revenue for Downtown. I always visit Grand Central Market when I'm in LA and it's always busy and lively
CONGARDULATIONS SAN FRANCISCO!!!!
San Francisco is a no go zone
lol stay home if you're scared ❄
@@MindMapMarvels lol not staying home just not going there lol
please stay away
@@episdosas9949 Don’t worry, I don’t want to step on Democrat sidewalks 💩
That's a homeless shelter people have been asking for
im on the fence but still leaning no.
I live in sf and plan to visit soon. I'll let you know how it goes my dude
went last week, preety cool venue. upstairs can get pretty crowded with all the different food stalls and people trying to order / looking around but ate downstairs and it was actually pretty chill. staff was nice too
Isn’t this next to the Whole Foods that closed because of crime?
next to IKEA that has been there for years.
IKEA on Market St. opened on Aug 2023. But it does feel like it’s been open longer.
@@onebabycat6052 you are right, it does feel longer, but still longer than whole foods.
Just down the block from San Francisco Centre which just closed
great news piece
give it two weeks
two weeks, man such a pessimist. I'll let you know in a few weeks if its still open (it will be) 🤡
Upscale == Needless markup. You are still pooping it.
Hi
Dolores Park in 4k thats where the REAL DIRRT is in Sf Ca...
Lets see how long this will last..
geeze another lazy comment...at least throw out a number dude. 6 months, 1 year, something.
whatever you choose, I'll go and check it out for you
Won't last a year
Is there not one normal person in that city.
lots of normal people here my guy. Should come visit sometime, oh wait you're probably at home clutching your pearls in whatever podunk town you're from 😂
@@MindMapMarvels Hey gotta admit you looked really good in the video love your nose ring really brings out your personality. I was thinking about a visit to SF but then decided to visit Gaza where I would be around more normal people have a great evening oh and hey take care of that nose ring.
@@georgemichael9106 lol man you're really obsessed with nose rings. did someone with one steal your gf or something? 😂 Anyway I could tell you put a lot of effort into this comment, bringing current events and referencing someone in the video👏
Kudos to you sir, while still a 🤡 you at a least gave it your best shot 🙂
@@MindMapMarvels OK dose that mean you are or are not still mad at me. 😂
@georgemichael9106 I think it's like a city mandate everywhere you go in SF you see them like a copy and paste type of thing
same thing with the Asians with the sailor beanie and thick glasses so over rated
Would have been better to open in the Marina or Union Street.
I LOVE IT!!!!
What makes it innovative exactly? Please elaborate.
You know, its like, innovative and, like, so exciting
free food court for the homeless
You can buy fentanyl laced crack and your free to poop anywhere you like in the food hall. No wonder London Breed loves it so much!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
The mayor is claiming credit except for drugs, crime, and homelessness. 😂
I give it 5 months or less.
I'll take you up on that 🤡, lets see if they'll still be open inn 5 months. Heck let's do a full year
I know its only been a month, but went last week and its still up and running. I'll update you agian in a few months. I know you care so much 😉🤡
Mid-Market? lol good luck with that
hahahaha San Francisco...hahahahaha ...and I live here!!1
yeahh I'm sure you live here "redneckReno" 🤣 I'll play along though, what neighborhood you live in?
@@MindMapMarvels "Sparks" It's a district on the far far far far northeast part of The City. No one goes there cause it's out in the boonies and you literally gotta take Amtrak to get there. Muni and BART don't go to that district yet. HAHAHHAA
@@MindMapMarvels tenderloin, bruh took a greyhound from reno after losing all his money on slots, now homeless and addicted to blues
@@MindMapMarvels tenderloin
...and of course our failed Mayor London Breed takes credit for this.
do we really upmarket food court? or do you need a real affordable diverse food court like in LA ! that's what I think we need
SUGGESTION: FRIDAY NIGHT CRUISE NIGH!!!! WITH LIVE BANDS!!!! FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!!!!
Why don't they open a food mart for the Homeless where everything is free for them.
I think they just did haha
No jodas que trabajen
Can i roll in my luggage without getting mugged?
yes just don't leave it unatended in your rental car you 🤡
@@MindMapMarvels Is that how you treat the tourists? No wonder they don't want to visit
Getting your luggage stolen is normalized in SF. While the rest of the world, I have peace of mind.
Grand Opening... Grand Closing... LMAO... just give it a few months...the ppl running SF have no idea what they are doing...
You said that right. The people, all those demorats who keep doing the same thing over and over, lol!!
It could Fly... but only if’s U have a place for People to Park... and this City has it out for anyone who drives a Car... and thats 90% of Americans... I wonder if Breed will ever figure that out...
Upscale my @$$. The Emporium food court was upscale, had better food than this, and look at it now. Half the restaurant stations are closed and it’s on the verge of collapse due to overpriced rent, rampant crime and drug addicts, and people not wanting to put up with it all.
This won't save downtown, silly guys. It's still a sinkhole.
If people wants this to prosper and not closed. vote out progressive politicians
The homeless and thieves will be right outside the doors, ready to pounce on the customers.
dude you're clearly not from here, quit your fearmongering. "ready to pounce" 🙄
@@MindMapMarvels I am from here, genius. You, on the other hand, refuse to face reality.
@@zekefister8294the city has its issues for sure, no head in the sand here my guy. But homeless people waiting to attack people is wild, outside asking for change maybe.
Anyway man, if fearmongering is how you get your kicks, have at it 🤡
I went up to SF via BART a few months back for the Murakami exhibit and had much of these perceptions because of the fearmongering I was always thinking about the what-ifs. Though I was still able to be in the moment and was able to enjoy my time. But it honestly wasn't as bad as many people said.
The only other time I went up to SF in the past 2 years was for a friend's wedding in city hall and parked in the garage under. Still sketch but nothing bad. Then walked through the early parts of the Tenderloin. It was scary but nothing to what people said by comparison.
It's more about the filth and poop and stench and why are you supposed to pay a premium for that?
Ikea to the rescue ...
GOD IS HEALING YOUR LAND!!!
Gee, that's great. Watch out for all the used needles and poop on the streets if you go there.
This food court will not last long. Homeless and mentally disturbed transients will come and destroy this place if there are no security guards on site
We need a WNBA sports bar!!
Ok...that's fkn funny !
I wish I could give you a high 5 for humor.
that was funny
Is the homeless invited?
And of course... No mention of the fact that at least 4 vendors are fully vegan. Shame on kpix!
Let’s see how it deals with the fentanyl zombies
the news always with the advertising for corporations. they have no shame, instead of being journalists, they are like used car salespeople. its a janky cafeteria downtown.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
THAT IS SO NOT FUNNY!!!!!
@@Jnthncrrll Are you kidding? The place will be closed in a matter of months.
@@bradspringer2372I’ll take you up on that bet my guy. Let’s check back in a few months and see how they’re doing. You down?
