These monsters with their tiny shopping cart (or man's purse as a lot of people says) in the back have nothing related to pickup, except the name. Look the "mid-size" pickups segment right now, no more 7ft beds, very limited models with 6ft beds, most commonly 5ft beds and less, all of them have 4 doors, and they all are the size of full size pickups 20 years ago, and they cost 50-60k+.

    • @Alan-tr5uj
      @Alan-tr5uj 9 дней назад +2

      Yessir! The prices on new half ton trucks are ridiculous(let alone heavy duty trucks). I paid $68k for a new 18' Ram 2500 Laramie w/ a Cummins out the door, pretty well optioned out, 8ft bed w/ fifth wheel hitch, etc. It's a work truck, and it gets worked HARD. Even $68k is a lot for that truck, BUT it does clean up nicely. I can toss a camper in the bed and take the family on a camping trip, and it's an enjoyable ride every time. I wouldn't pay $70k for any of these new half ton RAMs, I don't care about the off-road chops. That's a lot of money for a truck that's not very good at doing regular "truck" things. How many people are actually paying $70k+ for a new truck just to rip it off road Baja-style? The truth is 80% of these or more will NEVER leave the pavement, the furthest off-road these go are into a shopping center parking lot. 😆Can you even get a long box with the crew cab on a half ton RAM? Anyways- how come automakers are so tone deaf as to why sales are in perpetual decline?? COST is the #1 reason preventing sales in most cases. Quality issues are a close 2nd for many, and now banks not lending on Stellantis vehicles unless they're financing 85% or less of MSRP, simply because banks don't believe CDJR vehicles are actually worth the price listed on the sticker- are reason #3. These reasons are all compounding into one major issue that needs to be addressed before the damage becomes irreversible for Stellantis. No they won't fail overnight, but if this trajectory continues, bankruptcy WILL rear its ugly head. That's a certainty if steps to change course aren't taken in the short term.

He said that motor will bring the brand down for good as they never got it to actually be reliable and management forced it into production even though it will not pass a single durability test that was done on the V8's. He said they land up with a cracked block around cylinder 3 and Stalantis solution was to removed the test all together and changed the software to shut down the boost to try and prevent the blocks from cracking and that they still pulled the test motors and found fractured castings that would fail in the future. @@DeepDishPizza Thats great! Thanks in large part, I imagine, to deep discounts and special financing, but that was not the norm up to a the beginning of 2024 and still not for some dealers. I give Ram credit for their efforts in moving inventory. Ford, Toyota and chevy should be taking notes. Ram needs to watch what's happening over at Toyota with Tundra sales since their drive train change.

      As one of the first 100 Rebel Gen 1 owners, I can tell you that all I am waiting for is for the RHO to show up on RAM'S Build and Price, and then I will be ordering this one straight from the factory. Just like I did with the Rebel, who at the time, not even dealers within almost 400 mile radii had heard of.

      @@mb34928 Huh? We don’t deep discount and our customers don’t really qualify for incentives. We sell our trucks for MSRP when other dealerships are still asking markup. Also, most of our customers have average credit 640-670 or they are cash buyers.

    "Did they build a better TRX?"
    Math will never be defeated
    This has less power, less cylinders and less litres per cylinder
    Numbers are some of the best things you can base your common sense and logic on
    So the answer is ×××× no, they did *NOT* build a better TRX

    I like the classic grill but the warlock is alot darker than I want. I do think the RHO would make a fun weekend truck with that high output. But suspect parking in standard parking lot could be a challenge.

    I would think by now TFLT would get tired of being ratio'd in the comments for trying to gaslight us that these trucks are a "value" or "inexpensive". I refuse to be a fatalist and surrender that trucks now cost twice what they did 10 years ago.
