Have had a prs tremonti for years, fantastic guitar, low maintenance and reliable. They really have their own sound. Plus your extended jam with the prs was awesome!!
couple months ago i was actually looking around for a Epi LP with p90s, cause i wanted an LP but i wanted the p90s because my guitar collection is lacking in standout clean tones. stopped in the local music store after 2 years and saw the g5655t electromatic, cadillac green with gold hardware. why not have a listen/play on the pickups, see what the cleans are like? i now own it. and at the price, i feel like i stole it (i got 500au off clearance). and it leaves the "p90 guitar" slot open for the future, because the broadtrons are a nice discovery and have those chimey tops, the quest for MY p90 pair continues. i reeeealy like the sound and dynamics of the p90s in Rick Beato's Gibson but the guitar itself is much too expensive. but those p90s in a decent Epi SG, black in black? holy Iommi, batman! and yes, i know Gretsch do the Jet with p90s, but in the review vids i've seen the pickups are lacking something. i'm not sure what.
Decided to do a blind listen so I could focus on what sounded better. Gretsch won by a country mile. It also looks incredible, I was shocked when I looked back at the screen.
My Les Paul alternative is the ESP LTD PS-1000. Build quality is awesome. So are the Seymour Duncan Phat Kat P90s and Tonepros bridge and tailpiece. Purple Sparkle offset semi-hollow offset body is beautiful.
My first “big boy” guitar was an EC256 in lemon drop. And I’ve absolutely abused that guitar and it’s taken every bit of it in stride!!! ESP makes great guitars and that’s probably why my number one is an LTD
Woah, hold on... Creed?! I don’t believe ive ever heard you crank out any Creed, Dagan. Nicely played. Thats a band that hadnt crossed my mind in YEARS. Now I've gotta dig out my old CD/DVD set.
You said they were mint, that was before you played them because everytime you went to tear into one to play,I swear I think I seen sparks flying off th picks you were just burning them things up ,I tell like I said yesterday you are the best guitar player I have seen since Angus Young of AC,,DC
The vintera doesn't have wide range humbuckers, they have wide range covers to look like they have wide range humbuckers. You have to go fairly high in the American range to get them or one of the new cunife edition to get wide range.
PRS SE renew the catalog this year,i think some model stop making , if still can get new older one PRS SE 245, i think one of the best value les paul/single cut like guitar , around $420,really hard to beat.
I have that exact revstar. Its a great guitar. The focus switch is great. The color is awesome. It sounds excellent. However, the stainless steel fret work on my LTD EC1000 and Sire S7 is head and shoulders above the yamaha.
like most guitarists, i have an unconscious bias against Yamaha. no one knows why it's a thing, it just is. but i gotta say, i'm coming around to the Revstar. it sounds versatile and solid, like a proper gigging guitar. i still don't like the "theme" with pinstripe thing BUT, the green with black stripes, scratchplate and headstock is the best looking colour combo for sure.
Say what you will about Harley Benton, but I picked up a secondhand SC Custom Plus II FR for next to nothing (expecting about the same) and I was truly impressed... I even thought I'd dislike the satin finish. Note: Previous Owner swapped out the Pups for Seymour Duncan Blackouts. Just FYI.
Is there any way to get an antiquity ls1 in the US im in California and the website only has uk ireland and isle of man listed .the prs sounds amazing .best looking one was the gretch but the tone isnt what km looking for . YAMAHA is such an underated brand and the one listed here sounds awesome but not really the esthetic im looking for .the prs is so FN good but for the price id rather go with the Antiquity. Please help
in my opinion hands down Schecter, ESP, and PRS and even Epiphone beat a Gibson les paul. I currently own 7 schecter guitars 3 ESP 2 of which are the EC-256 3 PRS 2 of which are the SE 245 including the one in your video. and 4 Epiphone les pauls. as well as several other guitars. I used to have Gibson les pauls but sold them many years ago and have never gone back to them as I feel they are just way to over priced and you are just paying for there name now. Schceter,ESP PRS, and Epiphone are making way better guitars with better spec's and QC then Gibson these days as well as several other guitar makers and you do not have to sell your house car and kids to buy one! In my opinion Gibson has go the way of catering to the Collector market out there and totlaly forgot about the average player out there.
Man that Gretch is something else.
Just thinking the same thing!
It really is! 🤩
another really good alternative is the sire L7! its basically a les paul with an access heel and a satin neck, its an extremely fun guitar to play imo
I too can highly recommend the Sire L7. So good I HAD to get one in white and one tobacco burst.

14:50 applause for the video editors 😂
lol
Gretsch streamliner and electromatic lines. By far my favorite. Gretsch has stepped up their game like no other company for the money.
I agree wholeheartedly!! Literally NOBODY is making a $1000 dollar guitar that's better!

RevStars are a Gem!
They’re excellent, I’ve got three of them.
Are they good for metal?
@@keviaaar Definitely
That prs really suits you sir
My Les Paul alternative is the ESP LTD PS-1000. Build quality is awesome. So are the Seymour Duncan Phat Kat P90s and Tonepros bridge and tailpiece. Purple Sparkle offset semi-hollow offset body is beautiful.
Oh shit, iam first on Dagan's new vid....NICE!!
Love your work brother!
Thanks!
My first “big boy” guitar was an EC256 in lemon drop. And I’ve absolutely abused that guitar and it’s taken every bit of it in stride!!! ESP makes great guitars and that’s probably why my number one is an LTD
You’ve missed a really obvious one the Sire L7 Larry Carlton, maybe because you don’t stock Sire guitars.
Sire makes the best sub-$1k guitars in every segment they complete in.
I have a PRS SE 245 and it is excellent.
love my revstar
They’re awesome things!
Woah, hold on... Creed?! I don’t believe ive ever heard you crank out any Creed, Dagan. Nicely played. Thats a band that hadnt crossed my mind in YEARS. Now I've gotta dig out my old CD/DVD set.
Mark Tremonti is such an amazing player. I love his riffage!!! He's a shredder, too! Check out his solo stuff. I personally like him more post-Creed!
The amp sounds great. Which model is that?
You said they were mint, that was before you played them because everytime you went to tear into one to play,I swear I think I seen sparks flying off th picks you were just burning them things up ,I tell like I said yesterday you are the best guitar player I have seen since Angus Young of AC,,DC
Sir, you are quite a good guitar player! Cheers :)

I would love the SG version of this video.
Dagan is a treasure.
I’ve got an epiphone HCS but replaced the ProBuckers with Gibson Custom ones. It’s sounds incredible
I would give the Gretsch a try, but what I would love to see is a similar comparison of flying v's alternatives.
I've had a vintage cherry SE 245 for a couple years, and it truly is a workhorse guitar. It's excellent, definitely my favorite guitar that I own
Ow!! The PRS is realy good!!!!! Man...
Nice demo as usual for Dagan.. he's always over the top for being an Englishman..
Man, i clicked on this video expecting to see a Dean Thoroughbred... I own one and I absolutely love that guitar...
Dagan I dropped mine. You should do a video about ur damaged guitars, and if u fix them or wear their battle scars proud
fav guitar les paul
All good, liking the Bill Withering
I have the LTD in purple, and I love it! I go back and forth between it and my player strat. Both are so versatile, but the humbuckers...
I have the purple one too. Love it. I did swap out the pickups; tuners and nut though.
PRS SE renew the catalog this year,i think some model stop making , if still can get new older one PRS SE 245, i think one of the best value les paul/single cut like guitar , around $420,really hard to beat.
Japanese makers like Tokai and Fugigen also make great Les Paul replicas at half the price and much better quality control than Gibson.
also that amp is bloody good too ! having said that I have the SE 245,, you wouldn't need much if you have that.
Agile AL-3200MCC from Rondo Music.
The Gretsch for black tie affairs. The PRS, grocery getter daily driver.
👌👌

I have a Schecter Solo II Evil Twin with Fishmans in it and I love it!
If I have 1000 euros, LTD EC1000 is a no-brainer
I would of put a prs 594 sc instead of a 245 but great video!
For that budget, I’d be tempted to go Solar, or Chapman.
sorry but did you mean the revstar was a metal beast or the ltd 256? im trying to decide between the two
+1 thanks for your effort

I always that the Wolfgang is similar to the Les Paul. Only major difference is the Wolfgang has a Floyd rose.
Dagan!!!
👋
@@PMTVUK great choices! Just got 2 of my guitars spruced up for seasonal changes humidity etc oh the NorthEast 😅😂
I hate prs too
The best ones is the Ltd, Yamaha, Fender.
prs rule.
It's a little pricey but it is a great guitar from the Japanese makers Tokai is the love rock model. I personally think it's better than the Gibson.

Where are the Michael Kelly Les Paul Guitars ? Should be in here
Kids: We want a rock n roll Russell Brand.
Mom: We have rock n roll Russell Brand at home.
This is the rock n roll Russell Brand at home.
Love it.
Maryland isn't part of Pennsylvania lol 😂 I live in Maryland but yeah pa is the state next to use...
the best les paul models after gibson are the vintage v100 guitars
Antiquity LS1 wins by a long shot
What bout those under $300....do a video on those

Jackson Monarhk is king
Gretsch? Inspired by Les Paul? Got that backwards...
It was actually baby bears' porridge that was just right, goldilocks was a home invading thief
Under 5 😬
There is no alternative to a Gibson Les Paul...LOL...😂😂
Les Paul does not have an alternative.
