5 years is nothing. Pop music will come and go, but great orchestral music still gets played a hundred years later! I don't know if HTTYD will still be played in 100 years (I hope so), but no doubt some film scores from the first decades of the 21st century will still be popular.
hey this is nice I'm surprised I haven't bumped into this one before. I like how they cooperated some of the more less used pieces from the score into the piece like the very creatively named Dragon battle into the piece as well as the same old - this is berk, see you tomorrow etc. really generating a strong piece. I also like how they cooperated the choir in as well that's pretty awesome not all the pieces I find do that. Also to improve id like it if they played the beginning of this is Berk at the start instead of just jumping straight in and the piece could do with a hint of new tail some where in there, but yeah it quite the piece
I think the reason it jumped straight into it is because the clip is cut, but I agree with everything you said. One of the better covers of this amazing piece of work.
Wow😍 A few parts are still a bit messed up, but that's okay, because it's still a rehearsal. But most of it sounds exactly like the actual Soundtrack. Well done🤩😍😍
It wasn't the only place when they had different tempos but overall it was played brilliantly and faithfully reflected the original soundtrack. (Not to mention it was only a rehearsal!) PS According to the definition, commenting is for people to express their feelings and thoughts about something, so why are you two criticising Kevin Liu for expressing his own thoughts? Maybe it wasn't constructive but, nevertheless, he has some point.
I’m just expressing my opinion and view on his comment :) You’re implying that people should have their own thoughts and opinions, which is true, so who are you to say that I’m ‘criticising’ him? God sometimes people are extremely hypocritical. I’m sure they worked so hard to do this, honestly this piece is amazing and you are not taking account on how hard they worked to come to this level (bearing in mind this is a rehearsal, this is spectacular!)
00:00 - 10:41 Best part
Real.
Test Drive has got to go down in mankind's history as one of the best score ever. I hope Aliens listens to it and grants us mercy on that.
amazing to think that even 5 years after the movie released, a lot of orchestra groups sill like to "cover" Mr. Powell's musical masterpiece :)
agree! it really proves how much impact his style of sound has on worldwide audiences and lovers of music
AI SHA dammit, The Academy really screwed up when they chose Trent Reznor's work over John's that year... :(
True, and in a very very skillful manner,....just unbelievable how true to the original score it is! Very well done.

Hello
_"There were dragons when I was a boy..."_
oh, there were great, grim sky dragons that nestled on the clifftops like gigantic, scary birds!
Little, brown, scuttly dragons that hunted down the mice and rats in well organized packs!
@@eliaslightwood5930 Preposterously huge sea dragons that were twenty times as big as the big blue whale.

Søren Thustrup fuck yeah

Slightly disappointed that they didn't include the objectively best httyd song (forbidden friendship) but great work regardless!
The fact that it combined a concert band and a choir / vocals together is really impressive. Fantastic work. 👍🏻

A musical concert shouldn't be so casual. As L know, the clothes should be same.as a respect reason
did you even consider reading the description section? speaking about respect , it's clearly stated that it is "Filmed during a rehearsal"
