The Irene song makes me see Benedicts face so beautifully and you capture the full moment of Sherlock and the characters and it’s truly outstanding. You can really connect to the show through this.

Orchestra's members are normal people, you know. We love movies, and tv shows, and when we watch them we say things like "have you noticed his oboe theme?" or "I'd love to play this!". (So maybe, not that normal after all...) Personally I love playing soundtracks and musicals, and my conductor is usually open to suggestions. I like Beethoven, too, but modern stuff is actually more fun for percussions and winds and great to play in huge symphonic orchestras (like the one in the video). All that to say, if I wanted to play something, I just had to find the parts and ask the conductor. Probably this recording is the "fault" of some really hardcore Sherlock's fans in the crowd of musicians.
