Live Herring Catching Coho at possession bait Co & released another King

- I didn't catch a coho this week I had them on but never got one to the beach. Friends caught coho, this video shows a few caught this week.
And another king caught and released.
I smoked some Coho from last year that I needed to smoke to Make space for my new catch this year. This week there was a few Coho around
the 7lb. mark that had hook nose.
Cool video. Although, it bums me out to see fish beached and beat up so bad before release. It would be great to see folks who fish here use a net in order to ID the fish and pull the hook out with the fish in the water to increase the survival rate of the ones that need to be released. Or at least tail them in the water rather than dragging them up the beach.
You must not beach fish because netting is even harder on them, to net them you go over them and drag them in, you can't dip there is no depth to net.
but I know this king was handled too much but it took off at the end hook were in deep. Thanks for commenting🎣
@@dansSawfish5604 Thanks for the response. I understand your point. Makes sense. I do beach fish but use waders so I can net or tail them to keep them off the rocks. Not saying everyone should use waders, but maybe just tailing them in the shallow water would be better if someone has boots. Just seems like dragging them up on the rocks like that is not a good recipe for survival. Good luck over the coming weeks. Cheers.

One is mine when I get a chance I throw out a line, When I have a customer I put the pole back makes it easy and one or two is my friends that helps me.
The fishing has been up and down this last Saturday we had 16 and today Sunday 0. My smoking fish I think it needs work but it turned out okay

Yes I have been fishing since I can remember.
I've been a commercial fisherman for herring just as long. The King did survive🙂. I let anybody fish my beach I own 220 ft here of Beach. I think you would be able to fish no problem bring your friend. I would lend you one of my poles.
My beach stays open until September 24th.

@@esybe999 Okay I did it, I caught a coho salmon did the "catching fish dance"🐟 now what? Today I caught two Coho salmon, there were 25 or 28 Salmon caught
