Our Chinook start in Jun to August but we're so restricted on fishing them last year only 4 days. Now Coho on my beach August 1st to end of September the season the state gives us. This last 2024 season 393 Coho on my beach in 2023 was 692 Coho. Thank you for subscribing and commenting🎣

@@Twobrothersoutdoors I love salmon, That's a total for my beach a season not just me. I let anyone fish my beach when it's open, they buy bait from me and they fish my beach or they go to some other or boat. myself I got around 20 coho..🎣

It's cast and retrieve I use 3/4 0r 1oz. spinning lead 3 to 4 foot 12 to 15lb leader and two hooks, the size of hooks depend on herring size. I like the small herring so hook size for small I use a 1 and 2 size not 1/0 or 2/0 they're for larger herring. I do use bobber at certain times like a lot of seaweed. Thanks foe commenting 🎣

@@borbonic I Try to have it, that's when the herring come in to Puget Sound around May or June. Last year I got it first of June you never know. You can call Possession point Bait Co that time of year and the recorder will say, Yes, or, No if they got Herring.🎣

Yes right at the end of Possession point before the kelp bed starts. The last shelf coming up to the kelp bed is good. that's where I tell kayaks to go and they've done good.

I have a room full of Woolly 🦣Mammoth - giant 🦬Bison - Sabertooth 🐈‍⬛Cat - giant 🦥Sloth Bones and so on🦌..

My line on my reel is 25 I use 40 lb leader with a 3 oz spinning lead just the swivels that come with it single 2/0 octopus hook in about 28 to 55 ft of water. The trick is keeping your line straight up and down do not drag your live bait. You will see how I am back trolling to keep my bait straight up and down. You will see on my videos how I'm doing that. The trick is the small hook is not anchoring my little bait down so he can swim naturally and I am not dragging them through the water I am keeping them straight up and down so he can swim. Both Saturdays the weather was gorgeous we all had good time there just no fish at all not even a bite the 12th, but some good fish stories were told, and talk about next season, We did see a seal with salmon the only salmon. Yes I think 99% of the Coho are up river now. The only Coho we seen that day a seal had and that was it. I didn't even get a bite, we still had fun though a lot of fish stories and talk about next season. I've been seeing chum salmon jump out in front of my place now. Hope to see you next season. It took me one day to figure it out! I never turn on the grinder until I have it set where I want it and that only takes literally a few seconds each blade. And the grinding wheel I'm on my third grinding wheel in 24 years. I've sharpened other people's blades as well, I've done hundreds of them and no problem here! If you have one of these older wood Mizer machines I will buy it if you want to sell it, let me know ?..🌲🪓

@@dansSawfish5604 haven't physically seen any caught just pictures of people catching down on the beach there. I live just up the road and have been crabbing at Cornet Bay and haven't been fishing as of late.

Yes! you just got to put in time, there should be a few still heading to the river but 8-1 closed Oct 14th and area 6 is closed 16th, and then it's the rivers only and I don't know anything about the rivers I never fished a river for Coho. Thanks for commenting🎣

It was a good day! Only one incident with a boat, A guy casted over the boat line and a few words were said that was it and the boat guy speeds off. This coming weekend looks like nice weather too, I just hope there will be some Coho still coming through on the 12th. Thanks for commenting🎣.

We go down the trail that says North beach the closest to the bridge the short beach. there was 5 Coho on beach and 4 in boats in front of us. I like it the best by far but that's just me and I only use herring you know me herring only. The Coho up in that area are full of shrimp and Herring that's what they been eating, So floating a shrimp or Herring will work the best up in that area! The last three day were great. there was one close to 15lbs the day before it went to hatchery only but no video on it, that was the biggest of the season on the beach. thanks for commenting🎣

I own Possession point bait Co. I'm a commercial herring fishermen that's what I do, I supply the bait for everyone and the beach to fish on. As long as they stick to the rules of the beach they're more then welcome to fish my beach then! Lot of people just come down and pick up herring and go to other beaches or out in boats.
