Really good stuff! I built a pvc stand when I first got into the sport 5 years ago. Too complex to do again. It had a CG stand and a slot to hold your wings. This design of yours is quick and easy and something I can have on the bench or tie down in the back of the truck. With the adjustable height maybe get 3 planes in the bed.
Thanks for putting this video together. Much simpler.

Great stand! If you want to make a permanent angle you could use lawn chair strap on the bottom bars and then it could flip over like the stand you showed. Then you could even velcro two stands together to have an elevated stand.

Fantastic idea, so quick, so cheap 👌🏻
A video on the plane and wing racks on the walls would be great for me too. Thanks 👍🏻

Thanks, great video. What about a short video on how you stock all those planes on the wall. You have so many planes in a very confined space. Thanks again.

You dont need any primer, a small scratch with sand paper does the trick and in any case there is no way you need these joints to be water tight so a little glue is fine

Done! Easy! Great video! Had to make mine a little bit shorter than yours but it works great! Thanks.
Less than 20 bucks for everything.

Nice work. BTW, I'm a lifelong plumber. You don't need primer 100%. The pipes will not be pressurized. I actually build mine a while back, different design, completely without glue, and it still works perfect. Good luck!

I like the KISS concept. (keep it simple silly) I was going to build something out of wood but I like the PVC idea. Very cool and easy to build. thanks a bunch.

Great video. I noticed the Alaska Airlines 737 NG Toy Story. I'm an aircraft mechanic in Greensboro NC and I have worked on that plane many times.

Seems you can strap the wing just on the side of the foam and have it all on the stand, j/s

If you can cushion it. Foam dents easy. Even from pvc

You could do small chain in place of it but I don’t feel it’s an issue honestly

Did you custom paint the A-10? Are there aircraft out there that are unpainted so a person can customize them individually?

    • @JustPlaneCrazy
      @JustPlaneCrazy  3 года назад +1

Yes. I actually did a vid on it. It’s on my channel. A guy donated it to be in a bag, literally. It’s a fantasy scheme. There are planes that come without decals or in plain base colors like grey or white the AL37 from motion rc is an example. It comes plain white. Painting over colors isn’t bad at all

You’re smarter than me, so you either thought of this or did this-
On the 2 pieces of pvc that run parallel to the floor/table top, (Connects to the “V’s”) I put a coupler/joiner. Now I can adjust the length for the big a-10 or go smaller.
I did think about making more stands for different sized planes, but that would be too easy.... (LOL!)
I do need to make two more stands, and I will, but the FL 1600mm P-38 has me stumped. I want to build a stand for it for the back of the truck. (I swear, I’ll shoot myself if I EVER have to take the wings off again. If I crash it, I’m leaving it)

Not so cheap anymore...$61 at Lowe's and that's not including the D-ring tie-downs or the bungee cords
