Thank you, I'll check this out, can't justify what they want for a stand.

This is just what I needed so I don't throw my back while using the urinal.

This is going to be my choice for my new Night Radian.
Awesome, cheap and you can make it so it totally fits whatever plane you have.
Maybe I will design it, so my plane can stand up vertically.

thank you - was going to buy one - this saves a bunch - worked exactly as you showed
Now I have confidence to build a big stand to hold several planes.
may your skies be blue and your winds calm

Whipped one up cheap, quick, and easy!! Made it extendable with some pvc couplers to save a little $$ and don't need 2 work stands just yet.

Awesome! Thank you Dave I will have to build a couple of these. They seem very cost effective!

Something simple and easy! I just saw a video of one made with Balsa. It had lots of adjustments to customize it. Then the person goes on to say it not only needed foam wrap like yours, but tent stakes and rubber bands to support it. I prefer simple and easy when it comes to a stand. The last thing I want to do is fart with a stand when I should be working on my plane. I made mine from blue foam and that works well for me. Its simple and cannot damage the plane, plus it comes apart and lays flat. The wind can blow it around, unlike yours so not great in wind. I may build one of those for my shop. I will use the foam ones in the field as I think they are better for that. Good video!

Great item. Inexpensive and after you make the first one you can whip these up in 10 minutes. You can customize the Hight and length. Thanks Dave.

Probably don't even have to glue the pieces. Fits pretty tight.

Hey there. I liked the stand and I plan on making one. I do not have any PVC glue but I do have some epoxy glue, I think it would be just fine. I also think a person could fashion a tray to fit the bottom and mount it with screws to the bottom PVC. Thank you. Mike Fuller

Use a larger size pipe insulation that fits without splitting instead of taping it on. I use 15mm pipe with 19mm insulation longer than the cross piece so no need for caps. I also have a couple for holding wings vertical, ends made from T pieces joined on the cross piece of the T with the single leg giving a vertical, any number to suit the wings you may be using, mine normally hold 3 or 4 wings.

Flexible to suit your planes, e.g. height of vertical stab when upside down, length to suit say front deck to near of rear stab etc.

Nothing new here. Been building these for years. Even made video w/ cut list. I can even give you one that will carry Draco and the wings for it at same time.

as far as your measure ments go. you should really use a star finder and a laser for measuring. then use it in line with the hubble telescope to make sure it is scientificly laser straight. the use the hadren collider to to line it up . then use a faa approved landing gear so you can move it around. safely. might need to get a stc . turning it upside down will require some aerobatic training. then again? way you did it is just fine lol i have made quite a few of them even out of dowling. what they want for them at tower hobbies or most any hobby shop is just plain stupid. imean i saw one for 60 bucks. i asked self.. self? are they on crack?
