Brings back some good memories. Also interesting to see in different conditions, the Face de Bellavarde and the transition into Stade Olympique was really icy, having not the slightest bump and a couple patches of sheer blue ice.
At 0:44 that muppet in the orange jacket at Face de Bellevarde didn't look up the slope before he set off. Some skiers are just inconsiderate and don't know ski etiquette, like driving, you check your mirrors and glace over your should before you pull away.
Trust me when I say it's rare someone looks up... yes, they definitely should, and standing in the middle of a piste also isn't good, but that's the way it is, most people simply don't know the rules and etiquette...have to always be on guard...
My "favourite" type of muppets are the ones that do look up, staring straight at you for multiple seconds as you follow a clearly recognizable trajectory down the fall line, but then nonetheless just before you would have passed start going and cut across right in front of you. 🤦
@@ChasingSnow Seems like that is an element of skiing look forward to, alongside the free for all in chair lift que's, and playing skier dodgems. Wonderful.
@@ChasingSnow Yeah, you balance on your ski centre, and have to balance on the run avoiding other skiers. Which is why I'm avoiding school holidays, and will also try for quiet periods or quiet resorts in the future. As you have started the season, nice to know your van is all fixed up and has a clean bill of health. I'm 80% packed, this time all in one XL suitcase, and am off a week on Saturday. 🤞 for this Plan B holiday, don't want a repeat of Les Deux Alpes.

Always happy when my videos bring back good memories... :-)
Love these videos. Your skiing just gets better and better.
Thanks, Margaret, I'm always trying :-)
Foret is a lovely run
Umm, now I know what to expect, so I think next time will be much better, but it can be quite scary if you don't...
Seems quite nice indeed, the two weeks I was there, it was never open. Something to look forward to in a future visit. 😀

May I ask you how to get the ski data at the bottom left of the video?Was it recorded automatically by the action camera?
I use Virbedit... It's free but discontinued...
@ChasingSnow thank you!
