Love Hellhammer. Some people today sometimes forget that Hellhammer was hated and mocked by some back in '84. They stood out for the wrong reasons. I wanted to hear what all the fuss was about, because mags like Metal Forces gave them a horrible review. I just had to check out the world's "worst" band. My first impression was that it was so bad it was good, like the Ed Wood of extreme metal. They may have lacked technical ability, but the sound and passion for the music made it great. Glad to see they're getting their due. Hail Hellhammer. RIP Martin Ain.

The bands hardcore punk of scandivian , "Crude ss " and The "Shitlickers" are much Fast, agreesive and raw than Hellhammer ;)

when a band breaks up and some of the members form another band, that is a different band. when a band changes nothing besides it's name, then that is the same band with a new name.
@@nizz0matic307 I disagree. For example, the material off the first Triptykon album was supposed to be a Celtic Frost album. Also, the main songwriter has always been Tom Warrior, so all the 3 bands are linked together.
@@JC-lu4seyeah tom is in all 3 bands, does that make them the same band? think about what you're saying. hellhammer broke up, two members formed a new band. triptykon is yet another band that the singer formed, they are not one entity changing it's name
@@nizz0matic307 Ok, play someone whos never heard of either, a few songs from Hellhammer and a few from Celtic Frost, and tell me if they can distinguish which is which. Tryptikon I agree is a different band, but that is just because Toms style had evolved by then. But, Tom being the main song writer and singer for HH and CF, they are basically the same band.

hellhammer broke up, and 2 members formed a new band with some new members. it is not one band than changed it's name. that is what happened, hellhammer did not change it's name to celtic frost.

It is Hellhammer, there is no clasification for this, that's why this is so important in the history of music, because by the time there were not black or thrash or death metal, those labels did not exist, this was just something weird, twisted, heavy and so very rare that just a few could understand that it was the beginning of something realy new and extreme. Hellhammer is one of the best and most important bands in the world, like it or not...
