Someone sent some cassettes to us in Desert Storm in care packages. I can't thank you enough. I wore this cassette out.
Was my senior year when I got this and DESERT SHIELD went DESERT STORM, I was on delayed entry...well, miss that party, but on deployment was playing in 02...you know DESERT STORM II
Kinda funny since it's a German band that seems to be anti war but maybe one of those two things was the idea,must have been absolutely based listening to this in combat though although ig that war isn't like in the movies.

Очень сочный альбом! Из первой перетекает в следующую композицию так как надо! На одном дыхании слушается и не надоедает. Очень круто! Я полюбил этот концерт как он только вышел. Прошло больше 30 лет и ничего не изменилось!

c 89 года слушаю,правильно заметил 45 минут за 20 пролетает,отличный альбом

Metal is supposed to be dark, inaccessible, and powerful. This is the exact opposite. While great it does not represent what metal is supposed to be.

Pure genius. Very strong album in its genre. No weak tracks.
I remember circa 1990 with a cassette player on top of my mountain home looking through horizonte and getting deep in scanner's lirics, I felt like a hawk in the sky, as the wizard's force, they changed my way of life and my mind, and I got out of the Matrix, because my Telemaniac has a cure.

@Dmitry Chernov no better recommendation exists past the one you have made here. To quote the song title of track #4 on their follow-up LP Terminal Earth: "Buy or Die!"
This album is so fucking orgasmic! Every chorus is so powerful and the songs are written so wisely here. My favorite song here is Terrion but every other song on this album is as good as that. This could even be the BEST Speed metal album ever.

Agreed, this is the golden age of speed/power metal.
Terrion was favourite until I realized how hippie the lyrics are. But they rythm guitar and the chorus are invincible.

@@WALDENSOFTWARE indeed - the departure of vocalist Michael Knoblich was the M.A.J.O.R. reason (see what I did there?) the band were never able to duplicate the fantastic vibe HyperTrace has going for it. Amazingly after splitting up & reforming at least 2 separate times over the bands 32 year existence, Scanner have had a different lead vocalist on each of their first six studio releases. Name any other metal group that can claim that distinction!

@Thomas DeMonte indeed, all Scanner full-length studio releases are worth owning & keeping in your personal playback rotation however the band was never able to recapture the lightning-in-a bottle magic contained within HyperTrace...!
@@michaelscott1658 I couldn't have said it better Michael! Michael Knoblich's vox are great also. I love this album, but I also love their second one ,Terminal Earth. They somehow landed another killer vocalist in S. L. Coe, and I really love the flow of this one also. Some of the best vocals coming out of Germany at that time, along with the mighty Michael Kiske of Helloween fame. Man I love this s*** 🤘🤘🤘
