- The Stephens (Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York) are ready to embark on a trip to Mexico City for a business meeting, where Darrin is required to make a speech in Spanish. However, Endora (Agnes Moorehead) hexes him, making him disappear every time he says a Spanish word.
From Season 5 Episode 30 'Samantha and Darrin in Mexico City' - When a nervous Darrin has to speak Spanish for a meeting in Mexico City, Endora casts a spell to make all his fears disappear. Unfortunately, Darrin completely disappears because he is all fear.

Love ❤ the 'language ' episodes! Endora 'helped' Darrin learn Italian in another, similar episode. That one was very funny!

In the Spanish dubbed version of this Bewitched episode, Darrin tries to learn French language to impress a Canadian advertising client.
Really? Why couldn’t they make it like he’s learning English instead? Usually when they dub English-speaking movies and TV shows, when the characters are learning Spanish, they learn English in the Spanish dub.
Samantha and Endora spoke many multiple languages. Traveling and living around the world thru out the centuries.
Why would they have learned foreign languages by traveling when they are witches and can zap up any language skill they want.
@@mircat28 I assume they can pick up different languages faster than mortals, which would come natural to them. Their race is far more advanced and superior compare to mere mortals.

This was the last episode of the 5th season with Dick York to air, on April 24, 1969........that summer of 1969 they reran all the non-Darrin episodes.....hoping no one would notice the big 'change' at the start of the 6th season
I don’t think they were hoping no one would notice. It is more about helping to transition the new actor in.

Plus bought lots of his meds n contributed to his burial. Rather than let him be buried in an unmarked Paupers grave. Check your facts dear.

Endora has spoken many incantations over the Bewitched run, but this was one of my favorites . . when she comes down the stairs (her arms and facial expressions along with the words) "Higilty, Pigilty chestnut tree, no one now will ever see how embarrassed you will be" etc. Just fun!

Not all the time, but now and then a Bewitched episode will have some story where Darrin disappears and reappears just like a warlock! Less often than that will be another mortal, but I think the most pop in and pop out mortal would most likely be Darrin because he's the most exposed to all the witchcraft!
