When Stanley read the comments under the video, he started reading this comment. He read it a little more, and then a little bit more after that. The comment was so enthralling that he simply had to keep reading it. "Goodness," he thought to himself, "I had no idea that a simple RUclips comment could be so enlightening!" But it was true. The comment opened Stanley's mind to new ways of thinking, and new ways of seeing the world. As he continued to read it, he felt himself gaining knowledge and perspective that would change him forever. Eventually though, like all things, the comment came to an end. Stanley finished reading it, and kept scrolling.
Stanley was so enthralled with the comment that he opened up the replies to see how others responded to it, only to find a continuation from another anonymous commenter. Stanley was overcome with the urge to respond from the perspective of the narrator and to continue the fleeting interaction this experience brought him
Stanley realized that, at this point, he was responding to himself instructing him to respond as someone else, all on his own. The fact that he was none of these people, but in fact, me, drove him to the point of madness. "If I am not myself," he thought, "but instead merely a persona of consciousness adopted by any number of higher beings, then who is even thinking this thought?" It was quite troubling, but thankfully, he stopped pretending now, and the comment was over.

Here's a fun fact about Stanley Parable. I'm pretty sure there aren't any spoilers that wouldn't be obvious when purchasing the game, but just to play it safe, you can avoid reading this until you feel like you've seen enough in the game. The original version of The Stanley Parable was a Half Life 2 mod (Source game), made in 2011. It used a bunch of Half Life 2 assets as a result and was pretty bare bones with a few endings. The one people are familiar with was a Source game, I believe using a similar version of Source that Portal 2 used, made in 2013. Added more endings, easter eggs, and changed various routes for pre-existing endings. Ultra Deluxe isn't a Source game, it's a Unity game, made in 2022. It contains pretty much the same map / "style" as the 2013 version, allowing you to play it like the 2013 version, but there are a bunch more endings, easter eggs, and changes to pre-existing endings. I would describe the games in a bit more detail, but that could lead to spoiling things such as the amount of endings, how they changed, or how they are portrayed.
