I'm a serious rum dinker in Nova Scotia, were the life of rum is distilled daily. We find rums from around the world to sample and always searching for new finds. Three of the five rums you sample today are all above par rums for sipping. Probably, the Diplomatico, would be the tops of these selections followed by Ron Zacapa and El Dorado. I can't say anything about Vivacity because I've never sampled it but the Bacardi does not belong on that table. Try Don Papa from the Philippines and Marama from Fiji for a nice sipping rum. If you want to keep the Caribbean cane flavour, put Mount Gay or Bumbu on the table, both from Barbados.
Tried the Ron Zacapa, Eldorado 12 & Don Papa etc..The Don Papa surprised me, but to be honest is alil sweet. Still nicely balanced in a way reminding of Tofee flavor among others. The biggest downside was it felt abit to thin in the viscosity for me. Example if you compare Eldorado 12, its almost the opposite. Its almost to thick viscosity. But its better thicker than thinner if you ask me. Tastewise however it was interesting & nice surprise! Im Swedish but had some philipinne friends years back, so i had to try it! bacardi?? LOL. That's for 18 year olds. Big people drink El Dorado.
I can't stand the diplomatico, it's too damn sweet... After I bought it I found out they actually add extra sugar to the barrel
@Christopher White spoken like a true beta male loool.... You probably drink girly mixed drinks and spirits loaded with sugar like a girl. Drink some whisky and scotch like a man, bro
disgusting🤮🤮
the worst tasting i have ever seen . almost no flavour terminology used .the rum should be diluted with pure water to release aroma and stop taste bud anethethising ! Look at the flavour wheel for rum . Had to stop watching
Diplomatico is a liqueur , so on a scale of 0 to 10 for rum it's a solid 0. It doesn't taste like rum either, not sure what the fuss is about. Havana 7yo beats all of these easily (except Zaccapa which I haven't tried yet). But El Dorado 15 is better, which should be expected for twice the price.
