Those are flour, and if you don't know, when flour meets high heat, it becomes an explosion. The famous New Taipei water park explosion in 2015 is caused by similar reasons. Denzel releases the flour in the air and later turned on the fan to make sure the flour spread among the room, so when the highly trained assign guy throws a shock grenade into the house, the whole house exploded and a normal shock grande is not capable of dealing such damage. Recently, another B-day party held in a Hong Kong university also become a deadly accident while playing with flour and candles. RIP.

As a lyft driver I can confirm that people spill their darkest secrets, how they're feeling, and the stuff that happens to them.
I would imagine it's far more common than people think. I suggest from personal experience that unloading on a total stranger, who you are likely never going to see again, is far easier than telling the same thing to someone you know, love or care about. You get that feeling of relief of unburdening yourself without the potential negative judgement or disappointment from someone you care about.

My local private hire companies have a lot of contracts with local councils to take special needs kids to schools far away or for rich kids to get taken to school. One guy has a fifty mile trip each way! It's part of the reason why if you don't book days in advance you aren't going to get a vehicle at rush hour on a weekday.

His character was definately well-off. He owned a beach-front property house (a house he apparently didn't even want to visit all that often). His backstory needs to be explained... 2 films in and still, it doesn't currently make sense why he's such a bad-ass.

True story. I was in the Navy, made the stupid mistake of volunteering to go to Iraq, because 'money'. Anyway, At 5 in the morning I called a cab to take me to the airport. We had a quiet discussion about really nothing the whole way, asking neutral questions and such. Turned out the guy was Iraqi. When we pulled into the airport he actually got out and pulled my duffel from the trunk. He saluted me, handed me the bag, and said "go and save my country. I'll be here waiting for you.". I did 6 months in Iraq, re-upped for another 6, but only stayed for another 5 as the reason I was there was complete.
By the time I was sent home I was shell shocked as fuck, had completely forgotten the cabby. I pulled out my lovely flip phone and called a cab. I sat down on a bench and cried for about 10 minutes, couldn't believe what I had gone through, and it had just hit me that it was finally over and I was home. I finally get myself together and look up...and there was that cabby, standing on the curb saluting me. He said "thank you from the bottom of my heart, my family is safe because of you. You ride free forever with me." We rode back to base in complete silence. It wasn't until days later that I made the connection they were the same person and realized what happened.
I don't know if, when I called the cab company, he KNEW it was me, or if it was just pure serendipity. I never saw the guy again, but man, to this day I still remember him.

My entire problem with Taken was that it had to have something to do with someone being kidnapped and Liam Neeson having to rescue them. I watched this movie on a flight to Japan. It wasn't terrible. It was pretty light on content which led to it going on about side stories for over 40 mins, but it was entertaining enough. Harping on the constant reminder of the locations seemed pretty snobby though. Especially when they were referencing Belgium. Guess what? A lot of people would not have been able to guess where they were based on not having no particularly Belgium-y indicators in existence outside of signs. And also, the Washington ones could be missed because not everyone looks out for the monument; sometimes people see all the other things and focus on that.

3 large eggs
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
3 mint leaves, minced (optional)
*For the cannabutter*
Makes: 3/4 cup cannabutter
1/8 ounce finely ground cannabis trim
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
For cannabutter:
1. Preheat oven to 240 degrees. Spread cannabis evenly on a baking sheet. Bake 50 minutes (if using less cannabis, check oven after 35-40 minutes). Remove from oven and set aside.
2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add decarboxylated (oven-baked) cannabis and lower heat to a simmer. Cook for 45 minutes, then remove from heat.
3. Strain cannabutter through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a small glass measuring cup or bowl. (Discard strained cannabis solids or save for cannabis tea.)
*For special brownies:*
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13-inch glass baking pan with cooking spray.
2. Place chocolate in a large glass mixing bowl and melt in the microwave or over a saucepan of boiling water.
3. Add cannabutter to melted chocolate and mix until combined, then mix in coconut sugar, salt, and vanilla.
4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
5. Mix in flour, and walnuts and/or mint, if using.
6. Pour batter into prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool slightly, then cut into 16 pieces. Store leftovers-clearly marked as “special” if there are others using your kitchen-in the refrigerator for a week, or in the freezer for several months.

Not sure y u think it is implied that he is broke. He used to work for the CIA, not just as an analyst but also as a field agent or hitman like shit. So he could have a huge amount of money. And him working for Lyft is just a way to pass time and see if he can find any riders, like that toot that got raped and beat up.
The movie also shows his Marine Corps dress uniform, and he was a Gunnery Sergeant. If he retired after 20 years, lets say combined military/CIA service, he's probably collecting a pretty decent pension. With his simple lifestyle, it's enough to cover apartment rent, food, and occasional assassination trips.

And just like in the first 1 he lives a very very minimal life, i.e. he only has 1 bowl 1 plate 1 cup 1 fork, knife, and spoon. And what ever money he needs to pay for things, which also is super minimal, can be covered by his Lyft pay checks.
And when he says this guy says "hes not rich" and that he lives in that burnt out apartment complex, he lives there cuz he chooses to live there and it keeps him off anyone's radar. So his living conditions are perfect for what he wants to do. Cuz if u look at it with pregidous, u would look at him like he has no money and hes basically a broke loser. Everything this guy does is done with a purpose.

I watched this film the other day, and I was pretty disappointed, especially compared to the first film. At least we still have Keanu and Mads to drive the Old Man Revenge genre.
