      Thank you Scott. Your contributions have been super helpful! This will get me my parts to maintain my trans. Going to knock out filter and seals since its out.

    Yeah definitely remove the cross member before the transmission bolts, that way you can lean the engine and transmission down and get much better access those hard to reach bolts

      @@Rythecarguy I ended up hitting it with an air hammer while prying it...sucked but it came out. My bell housing bolts are abhorrently tight tho still fighting the top one, impact won't even touch em lol

    Hey man I have a 05 titan would happen to know what the SLIP light would mean? I found some info saying it’s a sensor but don’t for sure

    I'm about to take on this task with my 2008 Titan 2wd, are there more videos on reinstall? I'm totally screwed and can't afford $6K for a rebuilt install, I may have found a used one that will work for $650, if it last me a month or two, I plan to try rebuilding the original. $1500 total is better than $6000 for a rebuild that I can't learn from. It sucks being broke!

    I guess this took more than one day or week with all the hair cuts 😂. I love your videos Ry, it's true DIY as you learn on the job and make the nirmal mistakes. Have you considered a lift? Maybe contact some of those companies and have them sponsor or donate one, seen few RUclips creators get free ones. If no room, maybe consider the QuickJack,

    • @Rythecarguy
      @Rythecarguy  2 года назад

      haha yea, I grabbed video from all different days to make this video. There is stuff from like the course of 5 months. Also, thank you. I am glad you are still enjoying the content. I am making small changes as I go to try and streamline the process. It's funny, I tried to buy a quick jack and it didn't go well (long story, basically they lied about inventory and sat on my order for a month before I cancelled). I really do need a lift though. I am looking at buying some land out in the sticks and it would be really cool to rebuild my dream garage out there one day.

      He's not a tech, he's learning as he goes. That what I believe makes his videos special. Techs make it easy and skip stuff, Ry makes it real for you and me in our garages

    These videos have been extremely helpful. I need a bit more help though. I am trying to replace the vehicle speed sensor on my wife's 2005 Nissan Titan. Problem is I can't find it. I've replaced all 4 wheel speed sensors but I can't find the one that goes on the transmission to replace it. I am also about to change the transmission filter and transmission oil pan gasket. Could you post a pic or something showing where the VSS is?

    Titan engine; done👍🏾
    Titan trans; in progress 😁
    Titan front and rear diff; 🤔 we'll see

    • @Rythecarguy
      @Rythecarguy  2 года назад +1

      HMMMMM the diffs are definitely on the list. I think on the front I am going to eventually take it apart and check the gears since the fluid was terrible (tons of metallic bits in there). The rear I am going to eventually regear but for now I will install an extended breather and swap the fluid.

    did you have to undo the starter when you dropped it i have to drop mine on 2010 titan but i thing squirrels got the starter

    • @Rythecarguy
      @Rythecarguy  Год назад

      Yea, you should. If not you will likely catch the trans on it when you are dropping it. Plus if you pull the intake and starter the two top trans bolts are crazy easy to get to.

  • @BradGoodridge
    @BradGoodridge 7 месяцев назад

    after watching this I'm not so sure I want to pull the transmission if I have a problem.

  • @chatnavz

    That transmission support is pain when its firts time to drop down. 2nd And 3rd is like a breeze. Im gonna do this again cuz my I blew my tranny. This same as xterra trans, I noticed its much easier when you have bodylift lol..

    • @Rythecarguy
      @Rythecarguy  2 года назад +1

      I bet! I am going to do the same on the Titan as I did on the Xterra. I am going to sand away all the rust on the contact points and use chassis grease when I re-assemble. I hope there is not a next time but if there is it should be a lot easier.
