  • The Project Readjusted series is a collection of Five Nights at Freddy's fan games that I've greatly appreciated over the past few years. As it turns out, the series is much more involved and content-rich than I ever imagined. So join me as we take a deep dive into FNAF's most underrated series.

Just like I mentioned towards the end, this comment is meant to clarify and make corrections to things I said throughout the video.
    - The post-night minigame in PR2 is possible; however, Buster will only drain about 15-25 energy from you when you turn.
    - The Glowstick version of PR3 was initially made after another (now scrapped) version of PR3 but before the Elevator version. This means Mechlus had returned to the Glowstick version after scrapping Elevator.
    - A patch was sent out to fix PR1's unobtainable true ending. This was before this video was released but after I had already finished that section of the video, so I haven't personally looked at it.
Thanks again for checking out my video! It took four months and many iterations to get this video done and as accurate as possible. I'm glad you all seem to enjoy it so far; the response has been overwhelming; more videos like this soon ;)

More in likely the doors are magnetically powered, with an electric current being run through the magnet to repel the door (closing it) and attracting the door (opening it) when no electricity is being run through the magnet. Electricity creates a magnetic charge.
It'd be a novel, if incredibly over designed, way of creating blast doors. Which is still too much for a pizza place guard room but, eh, fazbears never made good corporate decisions anyways.

Also, you'd essentially be choking the guard out if they designed the doors that way, assuming the power also has a hand in the ventilation system. Its an inconsistent system. Then again nothing about the FnaF (or FnaF-esque) settings made sense in an engineering standpoint. I mean, just look at the pizzereia layouts a lot of the times. Windowless, impractical for the staff to move around in, maze-like for the customers. Sister Location has the most non-subtle example of this, with how the vents are literally the main access points throughout the facility. Its like Scott was aware that the pizzeria designs are dumb, and decided to make it canon for fun. Like, William Afton is the world's worst engineer (with the animatronic designs and his facility plans) and stuff because of that and its really funny they stuck to it

Watching this kinda gave me a unique idea for a fnaf fangame.
So, take the scrapped warehouse version of Readjusted 2, with people, not robots, trying to break in.
For once, let's say the security guard actually was given a competent security room for once, with doors that actually work and no obvious huge vents.
Instead of trying to stay safe from the animatronics, your job is to stop intruders from encountering them Instead, to prevent potential criminal investigations into the company.
Could be like an interesting spin on fnaf, you're not saving your own butt, you're just trying to stop thieves from unwittingly getting maimed.
Maybe add a animatronic threat only later on in the nights, to juggle between saving yourself & the intruders.
Just an interesting idea, not sure exactly how it'd pan out in game, but something for the planning board perhaps.

Bad FNAF fangame idea: so basically, it's a mobile game that takes advantage of the phones gyro. to look around you would have to turn your phone (as if you were watching through a RUclips 360° video) and to use cams, you would have to face your phone down to look and interact with the monitor. Enemies and other game mechanics should align with this gimmick.

Great video, Sir55! I love all the effort and detail you’ve put into explaining this series!
One thing I would like to explain is the PR2 post-night minigame. How it works is that you have to get the security meter up to 100%, which you can only do if the video meter is also at 100%. The tape is meant to push Buster back and give you more time to finish the task. The oxygen mechanic allows you to hear Buster’s movements while it’s off, so that you don’t have to turn around and check him (which is useful since turning around takes away 30% of the video meter). IMO, this minigame is easy for nights 1-3, but has a major difficulty spike on night 4.
(Oh, and thanks for the brief shoutout about discovering Glancer’s pathing. I’m glad it was useful information.)

5:49 Deadman's switches and fail-safes like this exist as safety features. Powered doors specifically prevent a fire hazard and entrapment risk in power outages; they'll have ballast weights that pull the door open when it's no longer powered. Electromagnetic locks can also play a component part.

  • @The_Foxymew
    @The_Foxymew 2 месяца назад +7

Doors are probably made with the assumption they'll be on the power grid, and not on a resource based generator. They're fail-safe, rather than fail-deadly. And, obviously, they're electro-magnetic. If there's a fire, or some other disaster, and the power goes out at the same time, you don't want the doors to be locked shut and prevent evacuation. Power-draw is normally not a factor, because they should be on the grid, and not on a generator/battery.
Reminds me a bit of the fire-release doors at the place I work at. You open it, press it to a magnet, and it's kept open for guests to walk through. But if the fire alarm trips, or the power goes, they get released and shut. They're normal doors, so you can open them normally, but they help prevent airflow to an active fire for when people have made it outside. Obviously, you can't really do that with a blast door.
Blast doors, of course, are entirely overkill for pretty much any of these games, but we'll gloss over that. Just have a metal door with a lock, man. But that wouldn't make for as fun and curious gameplay :P

5:47 they open after the power goes out imo because it's honestly the more realistic option, after the one factory (IRL) that burnt down and due to shitty regulation, trapped a bunch of people inside to leave them to burn, choke, or get trampled to death, a lot of shit went into making laws preventing people from getting trapped in places they work, it was a horrible event. having the doors stay closed after the power went out is a MAJOR fuck up and would get them sued.

A way for fnaf 1 doors to reopen is a larger door that extends into the wall a few inches. In the wall would be industrial springs that hoist the door up at all times. And a hevy hydraulic mechanism forces the door down against the springs to close it potentially explaining the extreme power usage. And when theres no power, the hydraulics fail and the sprigns lift the door

This is literally Van Gogh for FNAF game creators wtf
Don't know anything about Mechlus controversy, but this is the ONLY existing game that i see it feels personal like you said. The actual concept of the box reminds me A LOT of Oneshot, and using game files to not show easter eggs or something like that, but actually showing alpha versions of the game is... Unique, like, really unique.
Hits hard as hell that this is the last thing we are going to get from him t.t

38:54 Curiously, there is a video divided into 2 parts telling the story of project readjusted that Mechlus himself commented on. Although I'm not sure since a few months later the person behind the account changed their profile photo and name.
What I do know is that it is 2 hours of the story told in 1st person with original voice acting. Although it is in Spanish :/
Anyway, this video is quite entertaining and I liked it! Good job! :D

  • @yaboishadowman

The most realistic way the doors would work is there is a counter-measure (basically a heavy weight) that keeps the door up. Then running electricity through the system would probably have a set up that pulls them down such as metal levers (hard to explain but think of it like something at the top of the doors that lowers when there is electricity running through it and if the electric goes out the lose the ability to be locked in a down position). An alternate option (based off the design of most of the doors in these games) metal that acts like an electromagnet that works like bullet trains systems (which basically grab the wheels and yank them forward but in this case downward)(for more information look up how bullet trains work). The more likely option being the second one I gave but we can't be 100% sure on which one it is. I hope this helps you understand the doors better.
Side note: Love the videos please keep them up. You seem to pay more attention to things than other theory youtubers on here. Kinda reminds me of a more drawn out version of old game theory.

Why does the concept art for Readjusted 4 go so hard? Like, can I be serious about how awesome and stylized it seems, and what a missed opportunity it is that we never got any use for those character designs?????

This actually has always made sense to me (well...as much as having a huge metal door that drops down like that made sense xd) and can be easily explained
The thing that requires power is the mechanism (prob electromagnet) that keeps it closed, not the mechanism that keeps it open, which is just a simple lifter which doesnt require power as its just a counterweight that pushes it open
as for what its a safety feature against?
Its against fire, to prevent the case in which (for example) a guard is trapped in what is now a headbox because of a fire causing a outage (something similar is used in real life)

  • @verucasaltpile3510

iirc the specific reason that the doors open when they lose power is that they're magnetic. The power being drained is the magnet keeping the door closed which is why it pops open when the power goes out. though why Foxy hitting it drains the power further is anyone's guess, prolly gotta chalk that one up to video game logic

In fnaf the door open when the power is out is possibly it’s natural state is open the closing it activates hydraulics so when the power goes out the pressure is lost and door opens
