The video is actually directed by the bassist, Shavo. He has said in interviews that the freaky alien kid represented the way he viewed himself when he was young

Daron is the guitarist/vocalist. He writes a lot of the songs for SOAD. This is probably my favourite song of theirs. Such an awesome blend of melody and super heavy guitars.

SOAD is indeed a great band, and many of their songs are memorable. But if I may suggest, react to Linkin Park - to start, any song from the album Hybrid Theory or Meteora (I can't choose one because they're all amazing). If you want to see a showcase of Chester's vocal skills, I recommend "Given Up" or "QWERTY" (Live from Summer Sonic Tokyo 2006) - what he does with his voice there is incredible. If I ever see reactions to their music on your channel, I'll be ecstatic, but I warn you, their music is addictive as hell.

SOAD is a great band. But even with everything you’ve listed to, you’re only scratching the surface of Rock. Disturbed, Tool, and White Stripes are three you will love. Also Rage Against the Machine has more songs that blend Rock and Rap. Linken Park is another band that blend Rock and Rap. They actually put out a whole album collaboration with JZ. Love the reactions bro.

Serj actually does a track with tech nine "staight out the gate". Its definitely worth a listen. But you need "Blind" by Korn and "Duality" or "Before i forget" are really good entry level Slipknot.

One band that I don’t think a lot of people know about that should definitely get more recognition is La Dispute. I don’t see anyone reacting to them but they are amazing. They’re a rock band and are similar to SOAD. Amazing lyrics and the music is phenomenal. You should react to their song: Said the King to the River. You won’t be disappointed.

I watched another reaction recently that helped clarify the lyrics for me. It's about how we get so intensely focused on the small problems and minutiae in our lives, but when we're able to step back, take an 'aerial' view of our lives, we see how we're all connected. And how everything we do creates a ripple effect, and we can expand our horizons and find purpose.
Dude just found your channel love to see your journey. If you want something metal but with a surprise I highly reccomend you chrck put Ghost their songs "He is", "Spill ways", "year zero" and "square hammer" are all bangers and sound like they come from different genres. You wont be dissapointed with them.

Just discovered you tonight. Seem like a cool guy. Great that you like System of a Down. So, if you want to check out some more similar bands that mix genres, but dont do the screaming thing, check out 311, and check out the Red Hot Chili Peppers. 311 in particular is my favorite band in the world. If you only do hit songs with accompanying videos, for 311 try either Creatures For A While, Come Original, or Beautiful Disaster. For the Chili Peppers try Tippa My Tongue, These Are The Ways, or Suck My Kiss. Both bands have been rocking for 30+ years. Those are 6 songs you might enjoy.
