This song is about suicide fantasy and not actually doing it. It's a stage of depression where you wonder if anyone notices or cares that you're absent.
It's a circle, rock influences rap, which influences rock. It's good for people to listen to lots of different types of music to get inspiration for different places.
I've been a fan of papa roach since their 1st album. They have soooo many good songs. They're definitely one of those bands, whatever your mood is there is a song for it. I think you would probably like their song "Scars".
The lead singer of this band did a cover of a Cream song, "White Room" with Apocalyptica that's remarkable because of the sheer amount of sound they can produce with just two different kinds of instruments.
I can break this music video down as I was 12 when came out and i felt like I was one of these teens. We were sad and dealing with things that made us feel depressed and we were in our rooms with straight faces while listening to this song because we were in our own world with others who were feeling the same way but we’re having fun and vibing in our world because that’s how the song and music in general made us fell
Kids in the 90s/00s felt isolated and alone until we were with others that appreciated our music. It was therapeutic to be with others that had the same thoughts and feelings.
Falling in Reverse will be a hell of a rabbit hole. If you think that SOAD is a genre of its own, just wait. Watch the World Burn is insane! There's nothing they can't do. And their music videos are incredibly cinematic. Btw, the remake Falling in Reverse did of this song is beautiful, and got praise from Jacoby Shadix (lead singer of Papa Roach). Watching that video will give you a better understanding of the lyrics. It's not a typical cover. Same lyrics, but it's stripped raw and just hits different. Popular Monster is the song that put them on a lot of reactor's radar. There are so many Falling in Reverse rabbit holes all over the reaction community, rightly so. Over the years, they have reinvented themselves, so you really can't ever know what to expect. Even solid fans don't know what to expect from each new song that comes out, but it's always top tier and one of a kind.
😂 😂 😂 I got this on tape when it first came out and was listening to it all by myself in the living room moshing around and I threw my neck out so bad I had to go to the chiropractor
Hey. If you’re on a journey with rock. You have have have to listen to shinedown. My personal favourite is sound of madness. But if anyone wants to jump on. Monsters. Get up. Wow there’s 20 hears worth of music to go through lol. Brent’s voice though. Wow 😮❤
The Nu Metal sound started back in the 80's with a few songs that combined rap/hip hop with rock but it officially took off in the mid 90's with Korn, and Deftones. Check out.. Papa Roach - Broken Home Papa Roach - Between Angels and Insects
This version I say is more for the teenage version of me angry depressed then falling in reverse has a remake of this song it’s more the adult version sad depressed they showed it to the lead singer of papa roach and he bowed down to Ronnie the lead singer for falling in reverse for his rendition
Rap and Rock never created eachother, but they've influenced eachother for a long time. I believe the first time we saw rock and rap together was Aerosmith and Run DMC do Walk This Way.
We call this suicidal ideation. It also refers to self-harm which is usually a precursor cry for help. The lyrics illustrate an extremely lonely and depressing situation, but the video shows teens that they are not alone in those thoughts and that there are things to live for even if it is just another concert with some friends. For a couple of people I knew in HS, this song made them think twice about ending their lives.
I remember an interview or documentary type thing on tv. I thought it was about being depressed and cutting yourself. Kids were saying it saved their lives...this song.
This is the epitome of teen angst and I was all for it as a teen. Falling in reverse did a remake that hits like the millennial burnout as adults. Please react to that version too.
It was both , rock/metal and Hip Hop/Rap influenced each other, Punk influenced early hip hop/rap with the speed of delivery of lyrics because some punk bands were singing so fast in the 70’s and a lot of punk and hip hop came out of the same New York City neighborhoods
its one of the first songs that got me into rock. Id be similar with you that I can love a song and not take in what they are singing about! lol glad you enjoyed it. if you havent already, you should check out linkin park's song 'bleed it out' i think it is called and also 'numb' they are absolute bangers!
Hey Nat, I thought I'd suggest another artist to give a listen, if interested. "Bill Withers - Use Me (BBC In Concert, May 11, 1974)" (by the channel: Bill Withers) --Bill Withers was an American singer/songwriter. He had several hits over a career spanning across 18 years. He was inducted into the "Song Writers Hall of Fame" in 2005 and "Rock n Roll Hall of Fame" in 2015. I grew up listening to Bill Withers records being played around my house. My parents loved his music.
The first person to rap in a music video (mainstream music) on Mtv when it was MUSIC TELEVISION was in the 80s and it was Debbie Harry of Blondie the song Rapture...check into it, not at all what you would think happened just a bit of trivia for you hon from a 46 year old lady that remembers when Mtv debuted on the Television. I also remember the first song that was played as well.
My first concert I went to was P.O.D. concert at the House of Blues Mandalay Bay. I was 11, I had a lot of fun. BTW, the openers were Blindside and I believe Avenged Sevenfold.
If this is what you like then you should check out a song from around the same time as this Papa Roach song and it's called "South Town" by P.O.D!! Amazing energy and song
Ok this song is not focus on suicide or want to commit it but is a cry for help, yeah of course talks about thinking ending life but its asking for help to not doing it u know n yeah talks about depresions u know cause when someone suffers from depresion n star having those thoughts well its not easy to talk about it n most of the times people never talk about it but everyone is thinking n wishing someone could tell them that they are fine like the song says, so in a way is that cry for help thats is always hidden in people with depresion, n about the video is related with this, many people usually think this kind of music make people depressed or is bad for people with depression but it the opposite cause this song make people who suffer depresion feel related, they dont feel alone cause they know other people feel the same way so the video is showing that, maybe in ur house u can be having many bad thoughts but in the concert u scape for while from those thoughts u feel safe around people u can relate with.
Yep it’s a struggle but that’s honestly-if u pay close attention with just about every genre of music. I listen to many different genres in different languages & I gotta say American Rap takes the cake when it comes to that struggle we talk’n about but we gotta admit the alternative mirroring side of that is for sure rock in my opinion. When it comes to attacking rock attack the spiritual directly & rap the flesh directly, Boths purpose however is to alter & mold to its image. People take it lightly but check how easily it’s shaped people historically :/
I absolutely love this song but the original version is better than the "clean" version. In my opinion anyway, it just makes music easier to understand if you have all the lyrics when those people who don't know the music.
Dude, Love your reactions. I think you'd really enjoy Deftones, any of their songs are amazing. Chino (lead singers voice is out of this world and can do it all) Be quiet and drive Sextape Digital bath My own summer 7 words
you are doing great brother! I promise when ya do "Master of Puppets" by Metallica you will get exponentially more views! And Slipknots first studio Album as well. Mad love from Oklahoma!!!
@NatReacts Bro Been listening to all these bands for years they are all Great but you need to watch some black Brothers kill it, First one along the same Genre of music Bitch By Sevendust, but the Video u really need to watch is Rose Of Sharyn by Killswitch Engage, Killswitch is in a another Metal Genre called Metal Core, most People would say watch The End Of Heartache from Resident Evil , but I believe Rose Of Sharyn encase the bands all round talents, all thou kill switch has a new Vocalist, Howard Jones ( the black dude) will forever be my Fav lead man from the band
POD Youth of a Nation.... also is it just me or is rap just better with actual music behind it instead of a thin beat that never changes

The lead singer of this band did a cover of a Cream song, "White Room" with Apocalyptica that's remarkable because of the sheer amount of sound they can produce with just two different kinds of instruments.
You need to hear falling in reverse singing this. Its a totally different vibe man.
I can break this music video down as I was 12 when came out and i felt like I was one of these teens. Bruh, Falling in Reverse, Watch the World Burn. TRUST ME you're gonna want to hear it. Don't sleep on it, Ronne Radke is banging on the mashup
Possibly the most creative music videos ever.
No, not yet. Ease him in my guy. Start with something more digestible for non rock/metal people.
Plus they did a killer cover of Last Resort.

Kids in the 90s/00s felt isolated and alone until we were with others that appreciated our music. It was therapeutic to be with others that had the same thoughts and feelings.

When people got a lot of pain and they're also a musician 1 + 1 equals song.

Fabulous hits hard from thr start😊😊😊😊
Time for the band Breaking Benjamin and their song "Blow Me Away" - it's so good!

Nah, rap influences rock influences rap, round and round we go
You should react to Popular Monster by Falling In Reverse.
It's a style of music video from the late 90s, early 2000s. They typically don't match the lyrics, they tried to be flashy.
