They also supposedly haven't suffered the technological decline that the rest of the Imperium and heretics have... they just play along with it.
In my story the Alpha Legion would call out Robute as the one that did what chaos never could, and murdered the Emperor, and so he unites numerous Legions against Robute Guilliman as THE TRAITOR TO THE IMPERIUM... including a couple "missing" Legions that he just happened to "find"... Plus, it'd see the return of other Primarchs including a fully wulfen Leman Russ and his Space Wolves that were declared Exterminatus by the Imperium for turning wulfen. Could they have been deliberately playing both sides against each other; imperial victory would lead to galactic stagnation, but chaos would destroy life in the galaxy. They seem to have manipulated events to ensure that neither side truly won
That is actually pretty close to my own headcannon. I also think that in the end, the Twentieth chose to fight not for Chaos or the Emperor, but for themselves. True freedom is basically unheard of in the 41st millennium, but I like to think the Alpha Legion is out there forging their own path.
The one Legion that is truly chaotic might just be loyalist after all. Or not. Loyalists that fight for mankind and not the Emperor? Traitors that fight against Chaos? Malal worshipers? All of it at once?
The funny thing is that not only are they twins, they're unusually short for primarchs. Its impossible to say if either of them were actually killed. Several primarchs have claimed to have killed them.
Alpharius died. But Omegon did not. It was a deception. The Ultramarines themselves don't have any record of it. Also let us remember that the Emperor DID create only 20 primarchs. Not 21. Alpharius and Omegon are just 2 bodies of the one and only XX Primarch, Alpharius-Omegon. Since Alpharius-body died, we either have an Omegon-body with the complete soul, or Omegon-body with just half a soul. Could possibly Omegon-halfsoul somehow call back the other half soul from the Warp, and through consciousness transfer (something the Alpha Legion is not new with), possibly bring it back in a clone body of Alpharius-body? Let us also remember the great amount of genetech the Alpha Legion stole in these 10k years. A possible explanation for this could be that they are going to create a new body for Alpharius-halfsoul. Possibly, even an endless bodies stock for their primarch to use. Maybe they could also be aided in this by Fabius Bile in exchange for some of that great amount of genetech...
You sir have my thumbs up on this theory. I do love an Alpha Legion plot that somehow brings back the conjoined body-soul of Alpharius. Especially after that imp Rogal Dorn cut my favourite primarch in twain. Such a shame really, to lose potentially one of the most intelligent and crafty of the Emperor's sons. And that would give a definitive goal for Omegon. But what would be best is if the theory proposed by Alan Bligh, may he rest in peace, where he suggested a triumvirate of primarchs, instead of twins, and this theory you now propose were somehow linked. There is also the possibility that Alpharius Omegon is functionally a Perpetual like Vulkan. In their case, I would assume that as long as half the should remains in the world, they can be brought back, so to speak. So when... Once we had gotten all the way into the Inquisitorial compound with the artifact (which turned out be some Aeldari relic) we turned on the imperial forces, blew up the compound, and hightailed it out of there, snickering all the way."
Im under the impression that the alpha legion is in the background of each chapter and warband in a small or mid way. From belecore, to the traitor chapters and warbands. All the way deep into the loyalist chapters and the inquisition. How else can they be a step ahead of 90% of the imperium and yet be effective in groups of three and accomplish what full units can do with far less.
I'm not terribly well versed in WH myself, so wouldn't know. I know all I know from the online wikis and lore videos like this one, and ones from other channels. :P Nurgle stuffs always good though.
You see the Alpha Legion and Alpahrius and Omegons goal by extent are to Absolutely and utterly bamboozle Tzeench to the point where the Architect of fate doesn't have a fucking clue what is going on, then Alpharius will Defeat Tzeench in such a convoluted manner that involved 10,000 years of planning that scribes will take millennia to write down every detail and more so to even begin to fathom why.
The funny part is, they most likely were the FIRST legion created and were just running black ops the whole time. They aren't Legion XX.. they are Legion 0... Omega means last (and best) in Greek numerals, while Alpha is first. So even their heraldry is a paradox/contradiction.
The first story of Alpharius boarding Horus's flagship is true thats why Alpharius sided with Horus during the heresy as they had spent a lot of time together.
What we do know if you have read the FIRST HERETIC you will know there stasis pop landed on a ship after the chaos gods ripped them from terra and spread them across the galaxy
The whole alpha legion civil war could have been a diversion leading the traitor or loyalist forces to believe the legion was disjointed making the enemy underestimate them or maybe they were just playing both sides or maybe this is all false who knows?
Burn me at stake, but this Legion is the definition of overpowered. Know everything about your opponent, be a few steps ahead of everyone, let your opponent drown in lies left behind you from the very beginning. Everything about this legion screams "We run this bitch, who are you?". I absolutely adore this legion, I know everything and nothing about it. One man Legion, Single minded, most organized and pristine horde. No other legion comes close to The Unbroken Chain. Imagine letting your enemy fully prepare for your siege, and decimate them afterwards, have your allies ask you why you did so and just say "Would have been too easy." Mad lad.

Both could be alive, but we have instances of two of the Primarchs "dying." One (being Guilliman's attempt) was definitely a trap and the other (being Dorn's apparent success) is all but confirmed but I still have doubts. Either he's a perpetual (which is a theory I particularly like), this was just one of his decoys and he somehow sent a psychic signal to Omegon to convince him that he was dead, or the record of Dorn killing Alpharius, like almost everything surrounding the Legion isn't entirely accurate. Most likely though, Alpharius is dead and Omegon controls the Legion, but GW can really do whatever they like with them at this point. Also, if anyone has the image at 8:15, I would appreciate it if you could link it to me somehow.

Once we had gotten all the way into the Inquisitorial compound with the artifact (which turned out be some Aeldari relic) we turned on the imperial forces, blew up the compound, and hightailed it out of there, snickering all the way."
"For the emperor brother "
Heh.
A-HA!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111
I FOUND YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ser Ravinger Bare or is it...
*Removes helmet revealing it was Rogal Dorn the entire time!*
Love this lore series.
Glad you've enjoyed it so far! Any ideas for future entries?
I'm not terribly well versed in WH myself, so wouldn't know.
I know all I know from the online wikis and lore videos like this one, and ones from other channels. :P
Nurgle stuffs always good though.
nice video keep up the good work
You see the Alpha Legion and Alpahrius and Omegons goal by extent are to Absolutely and utterly bamboozle Tzeench to the point where the Architect of fate doesn't have a fucking clue what is going on, then Alpharius will Defeat Tzeench in such a convoluted manner that involved 10,000 years of planning that scribes will take millennia to write down every detail and more so to even begin to fathom why.
"We are Alpherious, we are legion, expect us...or don't"
Maybe they got something to do with the warhead that hit the crimson fists headquarter?
I'm surprised you didn't talk about the absolute fail sauce known as Kernax Voldorius or Arkos the Faithless.
What if due to time portal stuff there is just two alpharious
I might be five years late but I like this video a lot. 🙂
The hydra has three heads. The twentieth primarch isn't twins, but triplets.
Another great story :)
Omegon lives. Hydra Dominatus
Didn't one of the Horus Heresy novels say that in one of the gestation tubes there were two lives moving?
Heresy! There's no XXth legion Alpha and never has been. These are 2nd and 11th Legion undercover and their Primarchs.
Alpharius was found on Terra omegon was the last.
What we do know if you have read the FIRST HERETIC you will know there stasis pop landed on a ship after the chaos gods ripped them from terra and spread them across the galaxy
where did you find that story involving the salamanders dreadnought?
The whole alpha legion civil war could have been a diversion leading the traitor or loyalist forces to believe the legion was disjointed making the enemy underestimate them or maybe they were just playing both sides or maybe this is all false who knows?
It's still "Primarch" singular. One soul, two bodies, as per "Legion"
You are the Sons of Alpharius.
.
We are all Alpharius.
.
You are Alpharius?
.
They are Alpharius.
.
Let's go Alpharius.
.
*leaves being followed by 30,000 Alpharius'*
Maybe Alpharius never left the emperor's side...
What if Omegon was the primarch of one of the lost legions?
BTW confirmed that Rogal Dorn killed Alpharius.
You sure? cause, I am alpharius..
but it was girlyman.. right?
One is Alive, One is Not
Alpharius died.
Also, if anyone has the image at 8:15, I would appreciate it if you could link it to me somehow.
what if the alpha legion is now the inquisition?
i cant what for his/there models are made for 40k
THANK YOU!!!! :)
So they may simply be renegade?
Many legions are. Not all got fully corrupted and gave theit soul to a Chaos god
I am now wanting to start a alpha legion army
Can't you see puny loyalists?we are all alpharius.
The Steel Legionnaire for all we know alpha legion could still be loyal, if we know they work for chaos that means that they probably don't
for chaos
What if Alpharius cloned himself, and that was Omegon. What if there are actually more than one of these clones...;)
The Emprah is Alfaryus
We have no knowledge of any legion called Alpha legion but even if we knew we could neither confirm it nor deny it :)
What if it was Alpharius all along
The Amber King gives a better story of the Alpha legion. the Alpha legion is still loyal to the emperor, just playing as deep operatives.
That would of been the tough one to get done 👍
Thanks to HH Book 3, it was not as bad as I had thought actually!
Tactica Imperialis so 4 to go then you have done them all what's next?
Could have sworn the title said 40k stories, not 30k stories. :/
