Chen was a winner among 8 new competitors (every two episodes, there are 8 new competitors) but the previous episode's king got more vote in final round... but he did really good job. The competitors were tough. They are all talented singers and I was proud that he could get to the final round.

Answering your question Dani... Yes, we knew instantly after he sang that he was our boy, he was so close to won all the show. But on the finals, some people gave their vote to the other mask because they had been listening to her for a long time and yeah BUT !!! The good thing was that this performance made people seen Jongdae as Chen and not EXO CHEN which made him able to place himself among the idols and singers with the best voices in Korea.

you have to go through rounds against other singers, then you go against the singer currently on the throne, i think chen got to the 4th round so he went against the person on the throne but he lost. He was amazing though, i love listening to his performances on the masked singer :)
he didn't win against the queen but he got to round 3. The duet was round 1, Stained was round 2 (please watch it, it made my tummy feel butterflies especially the lyrics), this was the last round. I actually think Stained was the stronger song choice, but I don't request it first because that song has longer sustained notes and you can sometimes hear the fatigue in his voice. I'm hesitant to ask, but were you able to get tickets for CBX? :D
