John Williams makes a surprise appearance to celebrate his 90th birthday at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim 2022. He conducted the theme for "Kenobi" (not recorded), "The Raiders March" from Indiana Jones, and "The Imperial March" from Star Wars. Harrison Ford also surprised us to share the date for the fifth Indiana Jones film!
Do not re-upload. Please provide credit. I filmed the video but don't own the music
Steven Spielberg said it best. "Without John Williams, bikes don't fly, nor do brooms in Quidditch matches, nor do men in red capes. There is no Force. Dinosaurs do not walk the earth. We do not wonder, we do not weep, we do not believe."
The fact that by the second note, everyone knew what it was, shows the power of that score.
I feel like the power of the score was also shown in the fact that just by playing it he made Indiana Jones appear
Yeah John Williams movie themes are too memorable. 😂
I don't know about anyone else, but, as a lifelong Star Wars fan, I'm also a HUGE fan of the music of John Williams. The Raiders March is my 3rd fave JW theme. (Main Theme from Star Wars, and Superman, are numbers 1 & 2.)
The amazing power of music 🎶🎶🎶
Second note?
john williams' music convinced me i could fight nazis, jaws and darth vader at the same time.
Certainly, without Mr. Williams's music, Mr. Spielberg's and Mr. Lucas's careers wouldn't have made the same run. Long life and many good melodies, Mr. Williams!
The greatest film composer of all time. There is no question.
He is probably one of the greatest music composers of all time as well
Ennio Morricone: “Hold my beer!”
@@MGR1900 no thanks ennio i dont even know who u r
@@Hi-xe8zi That’s because you apparently haven’t watched some of the greatest films of all time including a Fistful of Dollars, Cinema Paradiso, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly to name three.

John Williams is the greatest music composer of all time if by John Williams you mean Erich Wolfgang Korngold

Two absolutely timeless pieces of music....I was 12 years old in 1977 when Star Wars was released...and 16 when The Raiders of the Lost Ark hit the theaters....the memories listening to this amazing music will stay with me forever. Thank you Mr. Williams! And thank you Megan for posting this incredible video!!
John Williams....90 yrs old.....let that sink in....just a decade shy of a CENTURY on this earth! he is up there on that stage full of boyish exhuberance and charm and looks like a man who is just merely of standard retirement age......INCREDIBLE.....i only hope I can look and feel as good IF and when I reach that age! Happy belated birthday MAESTRO :)
Makes you think Ford has great hearing, wonder if he shows up everywhere these songs start playing. You can tell he truly loves John, they have been part of each other's lives for over 46 years.
No music from any movie will bring tears to my face like Indy or star Wars
Two Legends of cinema
Such an awesome sight to see John Williams giving so MANY cues to the orchestra (sections). He would have the "right" to simply give only general time and dynamics, but no, he cues tiny things in every performance. He couldn't be more down to earth and actually "helping" the musicians...
What can John Williams NOT do? What a maestro he is.
I was 17 when Raiders came out. I watched the early evening show on my way home from work and was stunned. The next night I saw it again and walked home humming this march. On the third evening I saw it again and when I walked home, I _was_ Indiana Jones.
Mr. William's sat in a restaurant after one of his concerts and talked to my then 10y.o. son and my nieces about music after one of his concerts.
Love that music. Love HF. Happy Birthday, John Williams, your music will be with us always. May the force be with you.
you know Harrison Ford loves his Indiana Jones. He gets all excited and tearful and melancholic everytime talking about Indy. Especially now & lately. Here u can notice he's a bit teary at first. Gosh , i love Indiana Jones too. I hope the 5th one is just as good.
They should have sent him after the Necronomicon and have him burning it at the end to stop the 'experts' at DARPA, The Pentagon and Porton down, the Nazis and Russians getting hold of it for 'research' (inother words figuring out how they can weaponise it) purposes as too dangerous.
Every Indiana Jones movie was excellent except the last one Kingdom of the Crystal skull. That one was weird! I mean what the hell is the point with the aliens? I thought taking place in the 1950s it would deal with the Korean War! Not aliens!
I hope the 5th one will be quite epic and
unforgettable since it'll be Harrison Ford's very last time donning the iconic fedora! 😢
@@rennathabaughn7303 It's on record that he said that once he hangs the whip and fedora up he doesn't want anybody else to take over the role. But no doubt there'll be reboots and spin offs.
@@cosmicwartoad2587 Right! Just like there's only one Spiderman - Tobey Maguire; only one Wonder Woman - Lynda Carter. It doesn't surprise me at all if remakes and reboots come along in the near future concerning the Indiana Jones franchise. Heck, that's the norm for the modern day movie industry! Originality is extinct just like the dinosaurs! 😐
That music follows me everywhere; a brilliant quote from Harrison Ford! And wow I just looked up how old he is; he's 80; incredible, and in a new Indiana movie coming out soon june 30, 2023! Wow, wow, wow and well John Williams is 91... and as you can see their both working!!
What a thrill seeing those 2 titans together on one stage. Thanks for posting.
Harrison's speech about John...............OMG........so much respect.........so much LOVE. Seek ye out his bit at John's AFI award show for the rest. That AFI show was one of THE BEST of them all, honoring a man who truly deserved it.
(Longtime film fan that I am...........among all the movie composers, I simply refer to John Williams as "GOD".)
the woman repeating Oh my god. I would be screaming that too!!! How great both of them are.
John Williams music is so distinctive, so calming and always , and I mean ALWAYS gives me goosebumps.
It's part of my childhood and will always be a piece of my adulthood, shared with my kids too by watching the fantastic movies he scored.
Seems to have a magical knack to match the music to the onscreen action perfectly.... and THAT'S real talent 👏
Bravo Mr Williams I cannot thank you enough... I really felt the emotions again in this video . . .the feels are strong in this
"EPIC"
"Epic" is literally the best and really the only word to describe John Williams. 🥰
John your music will stand the test of time its so beautiful thank you for the music
It was wonderful to see Harrison Ford. It would have been extra if James Earl Jones had come over the PA to wish John Happy Birthday
Disney got their money's worth with that orchestra, they delivered flawless renditions of two great Williams tracks.
Well yeah because he is conducting
Long life and health to you, Mr. Williams. Your scores are the scores of my adulthood. And will forever love them. Thank you.
I was 30 years old when I saw Star Ware with my nephews.Never forget the magic of the film.
Maestro William’s music will be studied and played 200 years from now as classical music…
Mi generacion quedo marcada por estos dos genios uno de la musica y otro en la actuacion
Por mi generacion , muchas gracias
June 30th 2023 more Williams and Ford, super!
Oh, darn...I'll be at The Smile The Band concert that night.
Guess I'll go see it on the 1st!! Can't wait!!
too bad its his last film hes retired from composing and its going to be the end of the greatest film composing era ever.
What a career this genius has had!!
John William is the classic music mater in modern days just like Bethoven, Mozart, Hayden etc...
He is a wonderful composer, conductor ❤!
Harrison was like: "You rang?"
Great, this music is now rent free in my head since the Recent Rolling stones mixture and the raider's theme combined for the new movie. i cant stop whistling it, my mouth really hurts and i barely sleep, please send help
or the ark idk
Most recognized score. Love it
Never has Oh my god been a more proper thing to shout.
Never heard so much WOOing and WOOOOOing in the life
Hi Megan W! Thanks for this great footage. I would never have had the opportunity to see this otherwise. What great legends we have been blessed with! I truly hope that John Williams knows how much he means to us. His name should always be held in the same reverence as Spielberg and Lucas. He is as much an important part of their film's success as any of his actors, if not much, much more. As you mentioned about the whiners, I agree, "Shut Up!"
Megan, how lucky you were to be there for this performance. Glad you recorded it. And hey, Megan? You put something out into the community...you get comments, and not everyone's always appreciative. It's just that way, and it's one of the prices you pay for your generosity in sharing it. Many thanks.
I can name that tune in 1 note! Sounds like a game show to me.
What did Mr. Harrison Ford mean past?
Incredible words describing Mr. Williams.
I was wondering the same thing.
To think of how many concussions and broken bones I had cause I wanted to be Indiana Jones and my love for archeology 😂
John Williams is always Mr. Soundtrack!
mi gran admiracion por este maestro de maestros mr williams!!! Dios lo bendiga !!! este man con su musica nostrtansporta a los cines!!

i found the new indy very enjoyable and had fun with my now 25 year old daughter who I showed all the indy films when she was growing up such timless classics
Due mostri sacri della mia infanzia mc'e stato un INdiana Jones per tutte le epoche della mia vita e l'ultimo anche per mio figlio ,grazie grazie per le infinite emozioni a questi due grandissimi artisi
I think John Williams watched a Kent cigarette commercial just before composing the Indiana Jones theme. 🙂
is it me or does the radiers of the lost ark music sound like superman
Indiana Jones theme > Imperial March theme (I love both but I’d just prefer Indiana Jones more)
Amen
innnnndiiiiiiiiii go
I always thought the conductor was just a face with a stick until I watched this
Mr. Williams needs no introduction! The greatest Composer in the Galaxy!
Without a doubt John Williams is the greatest composer in the last 120 years. No offense to other composers of the 20th century, Holts, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, Bernstein etc. But how many people who don't regularly listen to Classical music recognize William's work compared to those other composers? William's catalogue transcends classification in any one genre of music. Wish he could continue for another 50 years.
Holt influenced a lot of Johns work specifically Star Wars…but I still agree though with what you’ve said
@@TrevJericho I hear elements of Holts, Wagner, and Dvorak in his work. Which coincidentally are three of my favorite composers.
omg its the man ITS HARRISON FORD! wait
right?
He played the Indy-Theme for Harrison Ford to appear. Then he played the Imperial March für Kathleen Kennedy when she went of the stage. Dont interpret to much into this please. ;)

Funny how katleen took Harrison ford before John williams does the imperial
I wanted to see the new Indiana Jones movie but everyone says it sucks and I just can't believe the final Indiana Jones movie is trash so just to give me piece of mind I will go watch it and if it really does suck then that means there is on a trilogy cause the crystal skull was ok but not as good as the rest of them.
RIP John Williams
Funny how the Imperial march starts as Kathleen Kennedy comes to grab Harrisson Ford and take him to ... the other side.
There are geniuses and there are icons and then there are figures in history. Williams is the Mozart, Beethoven and Bach of our times. There is no composer, musician, arranger, or producer who is as highly decorated, as well-known, or as well-respected as John Williams in the 20th and 21st Centuries. None. NOT ONE. He has defined what it means to be INSTANTLY recognizable, relatable, and emotionally powerful in terms of orchestral music, CONSISTENTLY AND WITHOUT FAIL... for the last HALF CENTURY. There will not be another like him for decades, if not centuries.
John Williams made Spielberg's and Luca's careers! Without the music, their movies would be nothing. John is a genius!
I love you mister williams ❤
