Harrison ford, Mark hamil, Ewan McGregor, Carrie Fisher, James Earl Jones, Anthony Daniels, George Lucas, Sir Alec Guinness, Liam Neeson and Hayden Christensen, How many legends could you possibly pack into a single franchise, then give all of said Actors a Theme song thanks to the genius of John Williams? *Yeah. Lmao... If George Lucas could've just given him a better script, Hayden would've been phenomenal, like just look at all the scenes where he doesn't talk... It's damn well delivered...*
He really is a genius, the way he can create and match music to characters, stories, and emotions and create "themes" and then as sagas advance, keep the spirit of the old but reinvent it with a brand new theme intertwined within it, the way his creations sound like they were always self-evident and always existed, even though they were actually contrived to fit the sole purpose of sounding that way is amazing. It doesn't sound like he had to create anything, his work sounds like it always "was."
Im convinced a new hope would have flopped without williams, you even see it in the documentary the production was going terribly, the music was one of the first things that was actually working
Joshua Hickin Lets not get carried away my friend. No doubt Williams music was important just like music is important in every film along with script, story, chatacters and visuals. However SW worked for creating a new world with visuals never seen before. It was a unique thing. Lucas deserves the most credit. Music of SW us great and really suits the films but they added to the movie not made them completely.
Yeah I think you're right Michael. I'd go as far to say the music made star wars. The individual themes for each character. The swell of emotions each brought. This is the best of all salutes towards John Williams. Ford is really well-spoken and his view on Williams's work presented here is interesting, thoughtful. Ford is a smart man.
What an excellent congratulations by Harrison, started off with playful humour and then he really commended John for his fantastic work, what a class human being, both Harrison and John
John Williams is a genius and changed my adolescent life (twenty-five years ago). I don't listen that kind of soundtracks anymore, still, it designed my ears.
I have always been a fan of Harrison Ford. From his performance as Han Solo to Indiana Jones. I read in a book that way back when Harrison Ford first started his acting career, no one wanted to give him a chance. A lot of film makers really did not think a lot of his acting style. I on the other hand think Harrison Ford is an awesome actor. I am willing to bet that Harrison would have loved to see the looks on those people's faces that rejected him. You are one of the greats Harrison Ford!
he is a terrible actor. he's got one character he can play = a trumped up version of himself. that said, he can still be an iconic onscreen personality - without being a good actor, which is why Hollywood tends to hire good personalities -and rarely ever good actors.

Absolutely the greatest composer of my life. Yet when a couple of young kids came to his front door with instruments to play the theme to Star Wars he was humble, came out with his wife and they listened and clapped at the two young kids performing... a beautiful humble man and a great man.

Why couldn't a pair of jeans and t-shirt have made their way to 1930's Marrekesh or Cairo? Sure there were people in those places during the 1930's who had such clothes...if only a few, at least some did.
m1artz are you kidding? look at all the other extras in the background. his clothes are nothing like theirs. Spielberg wouldn't purposely make one extra look nothing like rest. it's even been confirmed to be a mistake by the crew.
