If one can afford it - in my opinion, it's worth it to save up and buy a Techno model. One can connect it to a phone or device and run different sounds through it. It can also be used with headphones, or, my favorite, an amplifier! I bought mine about two months ago and I love it. I have a smaller, 'basic' model as well, so I can share my Techno and still have one to play.
