The score when she gets stabbed is so epic. You feel like all hope is lost and the anger in her eyes tells the story more efficiently than any dialogue ever could.

I never really connected that the reason Furiosa got stabbed was because of Max, since she was distracted trying to keep him from falling, and even after that, she still didn’t drop him. The way they go from fighting tooth and nail trying to kill each other, to begrudging allies, to sacrificing themselves to save each other’s lives is the reason this movie resonates with me so strongly.

To me, the War Rig was just as much a character in this movie as anyone else. It was crippled this whole fight by Max's Interceptor right at the beginning, and was limping along, wounded. Max falls... the Rig is surrounded, the wives are screwed, Max is dead, Furiosa is stabbed, hope is fading into the darkness... And Nux fixes it. Just the ROAR the War Rig gives, like it's a pissed off Dragon that's ready for BLOOD. It reaches down into the dark, grabs that spark of hope, puts it in Furiosa's hand and says "I'm here now. Let's go. I'm ready. _Show me who to kill!!!_ "

Not to mention that The War Rig, The Gigahorse and Razor Cola (the Interceptor) are the only cars in Joe's armada with actual V8s, The War Rig having two of them makes it the most powerful vehicle in the convoy aswell, so as soon as Max gets the People's Eater limousine away from the War Rig, it just launches itself off leaving everyone behind, going after the Gigahorse, who only outruns it because of it's nitros.

Great scene when Furiosa is trying to hold on to Max with her prosthetic arm. Though having Max get kicked and somehow fly over and grab onto another car and survive looked just a tad beyond impossible hahaa! :)

Goddamn, this movie just gets better with age. Some of the best action scenes ever filmed. The use of CGI as only a way to amplify the practical effects was so tasteful, incredible achievement from a cinematography and effects perspective

It took me years to understand this, but Max' main antagonist througout the movie is neither Immortan Joe, nor Rictus or the People Eater. It's actually Slit! From beginning to end, Slit is the villain Max has the most interactions with and they're always hostile. Slit tries to kill Max during the pre-sandstorm portion of the chase, probably hoping to weaken Nux and take over as driver. Then he has the gasoline spitting duel with him on the hoods of their respective vehicles, while also antagonizing Max by riding on the hood of his Interceptor. And finally he tries one last time during this scene, trying to run Max over with the Interceptor before being unceremoniously crushed to death between the War Rig and the People Eater's limousine.

Something that makes the mad max movies stick out from other action movies is that Max looks and is terrified the whole time while fighting. Like he looks like hes going to die at any second and it scared for it. Makes it that more enjoyable seeing a hero look like he’s fighting for his life rather than being good at everything. Seriously watch road warrior again too and he looks terrified every action scene 😂

Is this a PG 13 rated version? Because it seems to me the scene keeps cutting right before a violent death or injury. Don't remember it being like that in the cinema.
